Suspected cheating.

I have made an observation since the big tanki overhaul last year when the matchmaking process was installed.  It didn't happen immediately, but took some time before players found a way to use that system to their advantage.  I suspect that certain players join battles with two accounts simultaneously.  They allow a minute or two of game play to occur then decide which team they will focus on winning.  That's when I have noticed "dead" tanks.  They are there but they don't play.  And the opposing team is suddenly much better.  Another clue occurs when the game is ended: the winning team all immediately leave the field.  It takes a second or two before they remove their "dead" tanks from the losing team. Obviously, this is ruining the game for anyone not involved in this coordinated cheating.  I can't /vote anyone because there's no way to know exactly which players are doing it.  A search of tanki forums using the search team "cheating" brought me no results.  I hope tanki forum mods aren't burying any suspected cheating threads in an attempt to make their game seem truly unbiased...  ?

And I truly hope game mods are looking into this, because unfair games will simply drive players away.  Any responses at all will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Part of the reason why Matchmaking got implemented was to combat this exact issue. Compared to a battle list system, it's much more difficult to get inactive players into the enemy team of a MM battle. What you describe does seem like a potential strategy that saboteurs could use, but it seems so overly complicated that it's probably extremely rare that anyone would use it.

Your observations don't really prove anything. Inactive tanks often either have bad internet (and therefore have to re-load the game a bunch of times per battle), or maybe they play badly. Maybe a guy is playing with one hand while eating lunch and watching TV at the same time, or a 2 year-old kid who barely learned to press buttons and is playing on his parent's account... who knows?

Mods are doing what they can to combat this, but the reality is that MM (and Tanki as a whole, tbh) is made for casual players who don't bother to play well, so you can expect such inactive players to end up in your battles every now and then.

I don't think this guy was talking about being in the same battle... Joining two battles and leaving one for the better is a simple yet effective way to maximise exp earned, although on different accounts.

But I guess it would be the same thing to have an active player join a losing team and leave, or have an inactive player join a losing battle and get kicked for inactivity.

I don't see how this is possible with MM. Pro? Yes. But not MM.

Naturally, you would have to have two PCs or a PC and a Laptop. Say, you log in you main account on the PC and click on CTF. You go through the queue and now you're in a battle on the losing team. Then you go to your laptop. You can't log into a battle on your main account because your PC and Laptop would have the same IP address. So, you log in with your alt account. Click on CTF and wait in the queue. Chances are very slim that your alt account would end up in the same battle as your main account.

I have notice same "dead tank" issue recently,

yersterday, I have see 2 isida on hornet M1 or wasp M1 on legend rank battle, and sitting thunder viking.

it is common to see one tank due to internet issue, but multiple dead tanks with M1s on legend MM battle is not so lucky thing. looks like some tank find a way to insert weak tanks into enemy side in MM match.

-----------

it is easy to run multiple tanki account on one PC,

use Firefox to open a acc in tanki page,

use Firefox private mode to open 2nd acc in tanki page

use Chrome to open 3rd acc in tanki page

use Chrome private mode to open 4th acc in tanki page

use tanki app to open main acc (5th)

if you are dead-hard pc with good internet, you can use virtualbox to run a virtual PC in same computer and do above steps to get 10 acc running.

that is how those professional acc runner business doing in those WOW online games to build acc for other people.

I didn't know all that. But what are the chances of two accounts landing in the same battle in MM?
