Balance changes for Turrets, Alterations and Overdrives

Tankers!

 

Tomorrow, May 24, we’ll be rolling out some balance changes for Turrets, Alterations and Overdrives.

 

Here are the details:

 

Vulcan

 

Turret damage increased by 5% for all modifications .

 

Railgun

 

Cooldown time is decreased by 0.3 seconds in a fully upgraded M3, and incrementally less on lower modifications.

 

Shaft

 

Reduced sniper shot reload time by 1 second in a fully upgraded M3, and incrementally less for lower modifications.

 

Smoky

 

Reduced reload time by 0.1 seconds in a fully upgraded M3, and incrementally less for lower modifications.

 

Hammer’s “Duplet” Alteration

 

Clip reload time increased by 10%. This means that reloading after a double shot will take longer.

 

Hammer’s “Dragon's Breath” Alteration

 

Now this alteration increases the vertical scatter angle by 50% and the horizontal angle by 100%.

 

Magnum

 

Cooldown time is decreased by 1 second for a fully upgraded M3, and incrementally less for lower modifications.

 

Magnum’s “Automated gunpowder loading mechanism” Alteration

 

Now additionally increases cooldown time by 20%.

 

Magnum’s “Mortar” Alteration

 

Direct hit damage penalty reduced from -25% to -15%.

 

Magnum’s “Reinforced Gun Carriage” Alteration

 

The fixed barrel angle is now 3° instead of 5°.

 

Dictator Overdrive

 

This Overdrive now has another distinctive feature. It freezes all enemy tanks within its area of effect.

Overdrive range reduced to 15 meters.

 

Hornet Overdrive

 

Overdrive duration is reduced by 10 seconds.

Deleted the penalty on the cooldown of Overdrive from points gained in battle. This means that now, when you activate the Overdrive, your battle points will immediately charge the ability.

 

Wasp Overdrive

 

The Overdrive now discharges immediately after use. This means that it will be impossible to place a second bomb after respawn.

Deleted the penalty on the cooldown of Overdrive from points gained in battle.

Dictators is stupid.


How about buff Viking? it sucks and last to short a time

 

And hunters is already stupid, Add almost the exact same effect to dictator, just wow.

You obviously didn't think that through, dev kids.

Not bad, even though it reduced to 20 second. At 1st, I thought it reduced to 10 second. I felt paranoid by that. Time to dominate with Hornet-Shaft LOL.   :D  :lol:  :P

reducing it is not going to fix it.. to make it better , you would also have the wasp dropping and killing more / doing more damage. will now see way more wasp in battles and less large to medium tanks .

so if a player has top place in battles the OD will be activated way more times then a player with less then 70 in battles , this will now increase top players in battle to destroy the lower / weaker players.. this just destroyed the game .. if this is what you mean..??

 

it was bad enough with OD now this garbage...

 

not only that the game lost over 10 k in players and now you bring in this system to have more players boycott it.. I can't see this game

lasting that much longer...

Why Dictator's OD can freeze the enemies while activating all supplies?  What's the point of Hunter's EMP then?

 

It takes longer than 2.5 seconds (the time Hunter's EMP lasts) for tanks to resume normal from being frozen.  And Dictator's OD doesn't have the 1 second delay too! :angry: :angry: :angry:

 

This change is disappointing!

The reduction of duration would be offset by the removal of cooldown penalty.  Hornets could activate the overdrive again very quickly if they keep scoring.

Did they even think this through? Or just randomly implemented this changes?

Clearly they just want to push players to buy/MU certain turrets and hulls. :ph34r: :ph34r:

plss reconsider smoky's autocannon upgrade. its most expensive and yet its most useless, more even its worse than standard. i have almost fully upgraded smoky and on standard at least it makes 350-500 dmg. (regular shoots) but on autocanon theres no increase in % of critical shoots :( and not to mention when u use overdrive from viking it become ridiculous, shooting fast with 40-50 dmg.  while all others r with dreadful damage.

As a hornet user yes the overdrive is way too OP. Some changes are redundant while some are needed. Pretty surprising why isnt some of the hull overdrive nerfed in this update.

 

=== Wasp ===

Proposed update: When placing down the bomb which explode 3 seconds later, should have reduce to 2 seconds for an effective effect.

Why: Right now, after wasp places the bomb, it gave most people enough time to avoid getting blasted, ehich makes wasp overdrive the lamest.

 

=== Mammoth ===

For mammoth, i am shocked no nerf was introduced. Lets me honest here, when mammoth had the overdrive, its impossible to stop them from capturing the ball / flag, which is not that fair when after capping flag / ball with overdrive, it boost their overdrive such that the 2nd time will also be successful.

 

Instead of this, mammoth should not be able to pick up the ball / flag when their overdrive is active, but the duration of the effect is increased.

 

=== Hornet ===

Even with the 10 second reduction, the advantage is still there bruh... Currently, with the overdrive, when activating double damage, it will still remain for quite awhile even after the double damage activation is gone, which means, during the double damage - overdrive period, hornet still can get easy kills as usual and whats the point of reducing duration when easy kills = faster reload?

 

Lets be honest, hornet overdrive needs a havy nerf. Its either the overdrive ignore only the tank's supplies, or ignore the tank's protection. It CANNOT be both.

I remember when smoky m4 used to have 1.3sec reload, that was rapid shooting, then they nerfed m4 from 1.3 to 1.5, from tommorow on its gonna be 1.4 . Finnaly some buff for smoky!

I like this update, I see developers are trying to make dictator popular, it is virtually non-existent in battles

In my opinion, Overdrives should be tuned down and not buffed. They are way too prominent and the whole game became just about Overdrives. If you want to nerf Hornet make it ignore only the module protections but not Double Armour supply. Same thing can be done with Titan. It should reduce just the damage, but it should not repair the tank.

Hunter removes all supplies, deactivates other overdrives and stuns instead of freezing
