Hmm.... update seems interesting. Chernobyl is a pretty nice as well, but can lead to some pretty brutal blowouts. 

 

 I wish there was an MM version of canyon though. It would be very big fun to go in tunnels, top of hills and unique passages, and battle in the whole map.

Magnum wrecked Canyon imo. In some cases, it's worse than Noise.

Let's see how the new redesigned maps are, but I have a feeling they are camping friendly.

 

Magnum, Shaft, along some others should be like secondary turrets for those that like them. Tanki shouldn't try to equal the number of used turrets by making them OP.

 

I don't like Magistral, too big; Polygon and Rio are bad too; same for Sandal, and Silence. Actually, I'm trying to think which maps are good... I like Cologne, Dessert, Forest, Iran...

 

Non upgraded drones should consume less batteries, meaning the batteries should last longer before the consumption of a new battery.

Chernobyl has been thoroughly reworked to better fit the matchmaking scenario.

Yep, it's now Ambush-world.  The map is great in Pro DM if only a few players.  Crowded MM would be horrible.

Both that and Stadium I would n-e-v-e-r set foot in on MM.

 

And thanks for giving away prizes we fought hard for.  Tanki did the same with XT and now Prime before the paint's even dried.

 

Thank Christ today's my last day of this crap.  I'm getting too old to want to go into maps that are too small and crowded so you can barely move without getting slotted.  And others that are suicide on a stick.

Why let all those low rank players slack off and not contribute to the Tanki Greed Fund?  Buyers of course will buy a drone and MU it asap, but even many many of the freebies will buy the drone and poof their minuscule supply of batteries.  And the solution is...of course...turn a few more freebies into buyers for more batteries...and maybe a crystal bundle...and that badass kit...maybe some golds just for fun...might as well get Premium too since we are sending in money it's only $XX more :)  Will this be tens of thousands of freebies?  No...but if Tanki can convert 1% to 3% more players into buyers, that is bank they never had before...and, getting a player to send in cash the first time is the very hardest, after that, there is a huge chance that that 1st time buyer will become a repeat buyer...with little coaxing needed from Tanki  

 

I got to hand it to Tanki, they know how to market their product....at the expense of quality game-play, but what do they care?  ...as long as their bottom line keeps growing.

?? For 1% extra power you spend the value of 300 crystals a minute . This really is "The Buyers Drone " . 1% extra power is nothing , 10% for a full upgraded is something , but they not gonna give away the upgrades .

I can't even understand how this drone is the " Buyers Drone " ... if u talk about number of batteries spent per minute .. then don't call the drone the buyers drone .You can get crystals from battles and save it .. and you can get batteries from weekly containers ( open big numbers at once ) and save them till u have a big amount of crystals and batteries.. But if you don't care about doing the missions.. you might not get a lot of batteries and supplies and then it will be not easy.. then you can upgrade the drone ( without speed-up for sure ) and buying batteries when needed .. This drone is VERY VERY cheap = 1000 crystals only .

It could, but chances are you will still get Speed boost or mines at a rate of 99%.

If you want to get more rare prizes from containers .. don't open 1 everytime.. just if you have 5 open 5 at once and if you have 15 open 15 at once..

 

Q: How can I get more containers? Very Simple , if you don't want to buy , then get them from missions and challenges and don't open them .. just save them till u have a big number of containers then open 15 and 5 at once. 

 

More containers you open ... More prizes you get.

I am so happy that there is a new drone that help protect players. It would be much better if the Brutus drone could operate without batteries. That's because Brutus is such a cheap drone for beginner players, I recommend that this drone works without the need of batteries. Other drones needs batteries to work though.

A fellow player in the chat pointed out that there are only two Nuclear Supply boxes in Stadium MM but oddly placed on the map one in the middle and on one of the sides, I am wondering if this is an intended feature or not  :blink:

I will answer as though you are being serious, although you might be playing Devil's Advocate.

 

Yes, the new drone is VERY cheap...to buy the drone itself.  One might ask...why?  The glaring answer is the consumable batteries that must be used with the drone.  I'm actually surprised that Tanki hasn't put drones in containers as a prize/reward.  The more players that have drones, the more batteries that will be consumed....that just stands to reason, right? 

 

Now in the lower ranks, players have been getting a few batteries now and then in containers or the Challenge thingie.  So now they buy a very cheap drone at low ranks and use up their batteries...and like it :)  BOOM, more battery sales...probably LOTS and LOTS more battery sales. 

 

If you already have 100, 300, 500 batteries laying around, why not put them to use with a VERY cheap drone.  But eventually those few batteries will run out and new ones you get in containers will not keep up with the demand.  Another percentage of freebie players will be converted into BUYERS.  Once a player makes their first purchase, it is much easier for them to make repeat purchases.  Tanki may only convert 1% or 2% of the current freebies into buyers, but that is all gravy...and a time proven tactic for repeat transactions.

 

Is it possible to buy a drone and use your battrey hoard sparingly?  Sure it is, but will most players do that, probably not.  A tremendous amount of players use all the supplies they get an that will be the same with batteries.

 

This new drone is not a game changer like the new ODs, but it is another step in the monetization of Tanki.  Buyers (new and old ones) are going to buy the new drone in the lower ranks and supply them with batteries.  Freebies will probably say, "Oh well, it's only 1000 crystals...what the hell...I got those useless batteries just laying around anyway...and the drone is VERY cheap." But then MUs will be applied..."poof" there goes another batch of crystals that previously would have gone to something else.  The more things there are to give advantage, the bigger the need for crystals.  The bigger the need for crystals will motivate some freebies to buy with cash.  Those that don't will be at an even further disadvantage.  More stuff to buy with a finite amount of crystals generates pressure to get more crystals...more buyers.

 

So Buyer's Drone?  Maybe not the drone itself, but the maintenance of the drone and capital backlash from the drone, definitely make this a Buyer 's Drone.  Tanki sure didn't release it to help the freebies :)

idk.. there's a difference between a 40% and 50% module add a 10% to that and it could make a significant difference

 

funny thing is you used to get 15% protection from all turrets free if you had premium before and now it's 10% on a drone with consumes a 300 cry battery every minute

I am not forgetting anything and you align your battery usage as you see fit. Drones are p2w, therefore if you buy a drone you know that you will have to align more cash behind it in MU and in battery supplies to keep it running. This is what you have to pay to get the OP level. if you buy the drone only for 1% advantage, it is no use. This is why I specified OP when +10%. Not when at +1% (lol). If you stop at +5% upgrade with Brutus then it is like any other Drones fully Mued (1M crystals or 3M crystals with SUp).

 

I survive with no Drones at all, and use them only on specific occasions (like photo shoot).
