Allow more stars to be accumulated in one purchase for more money.

Recommended Posts

If I remember correctly, last month's challenge, you could buy 100 stars for $30, right?

So why not have an option to buy more stars for more money, like to purchase 1800 stars, you would spend $540 or so. This way, buyers won't have to do the process 17 more times, and devs would make large profits out of it very quickly.

What do you guys think? :)

OK, sure, fine. I dont suppose there is anything to be done about the buying stars situation.

I don't see a problem with the ability to buy stars in the shop. Pretty much everyone benefits from it.

That's a terrifying price right there. I wonder how many would actually be willing to pay that to get their challenge done.

Never underestimate russian 10 year old kid's parents pockets

It doesnt actually cause problems for anyone, its just the concept I dont like.

Well do you end up actually getting a better deal if you buy through the challenge?-if yeah (considerably) then this idea should be nixed.

Although if they anyways can buy it one at a time-why not let them do it once instead of again and again.

Horrible idea! Think really hard about it. If people can just buy stars and automatically complete their challenge, what fun is there in this game? (One of the reasons I quit playing MM battles and quit challenges) Think of a non-buyer who is trying hard to achieve the required amount of stars, versus a mega buyer who can hypothetically buy all the stars at once without playing a single battle. That takes all the fun out of challenges (if there was much to go around in the first place). What are the developers thinking? They are just ruining what fun is left of this game.

I had a friend of mine tell me, "All of what you want to do in this game can be purchased". How will people who can't afford to spend that kind of money on a rusty game, but still like playing it for free, feel like? They're being robbed of all the fun, the challenge itself, and the challenge of playing enough to where they can accomplish 1800 stars with what little time they have to spend in this game. They are the ones who actually try to do their challenges, but lose motivation because they know, if they had enough money to buy stars, they would prosper a little more in this game.

Think of it as if you had a job, you were a hard worker and always put a large amount of effort into your work, coming in on time every single day, then somebody comes along, late, and pays their boss some money in exchange for a free day, and you are there, working hard long hours, to get little pay, just hoping for an off-day because you're not that guy who can just flaunt money and purchase days off.

Of course I know what I wrote above is not realistic, but, you catch my drift, right?

Wanna hear more reasoning? Click the spoiler  <_<

It's not fair for non-buyers, or people like me who buy a little, but don't want to spend that kind of money on this rusty game. It's either we get rid of players ability to purchase easy stars, or even better, get rid of challenges as a whole. They're a waste of time anyway.

Go ahead and say that the developers need money to improve the game and it's properties, but, think really hard about what I am going to type here...

When was the last time you saw a graphics change in Tanki? (I'm going a little off-topic, but hang with me)

If Tanki really implemented the ability to purchase stars, that would mean that they are desperate for profit to improve the game. Obviously that money is either going somewhere else, or not being put to good use. Again, as I mentioned earlier; look at all the problems in this game. I understand the fact that they have to pay employees and such other things, but, this game makes enough money to be able to at-least make some change.

This leads back to the stars thing. The only people who are benefiting from it are the insane buyers, and Tanki. We other players who don't spend a penny, or spend very little deserve better than this. This is a very dumb idea that only benefits a part of the low player base, and that in all, is one of the reasons I have moved to other games & platforms.

Just let it sink in. I explained it as best as I could.

There's no point in doing challenge, if people can just buy the fun instead of working towards it. You can't buy a college degree, you have to work for it. Just a few other examples.

You can already buy stars in the shop, so why not let them buy all 1800 stars in one purchase?

And how does this ruin the fun of free players?

If free players are butt hurt over this then they should remember that buyers financially support the game just so that they can play for free.

Plus this idea benefits everyone. Devs get larger profits faster, big buyers get what they want, and it also means that that's less challenge participants that casual players have to worry about.

It does run the fun, because it's supposed to be a challenge, not: "Everyone plays the challenge, and some big buyer can just buy all the stars without putting effort"

 [/size]

Challenges already ruin the fun of the game because they make battles so unbalanced. But I have accepted this.

Some triggered kids get butt hurt over a few people buying the whole 1800 stars, but they don't think, that it could make their task of earning stars a bit easier considering less big buyers to deal with on average.

Yes, devs get larger profits, but who on earth is going to buy $540.99 for 1800 stars in a virtual, declining, problem-ridden game? I am correct yet again: Buyers!  :D  :D  :D (Reality:  <_<  <_<  <_< )

It does run the fun, because it's supposed to be a challenge, not: "Everyone plays the challenge, and some big buyer can just buy all the stars without putting effort"

Again, I will give another example. You can't win a race by buying to win, you have to race against all of the competitors in order to win.

What is sadly true in Tanki Online, is that you can win the game buy buying

In a race (example - cars) you are always racing against your peers.  It's not like you have an Austin mini and your opponent has a Ferrari.  Your example does not apply to TO.

Ding! Ding!

Ding! Ding!

That's the sad reality.

I support this idea because non-buyers (including me) will not have to compete against the OP buyers most of the time. Second, the game will take their desired money to operate properly without further grinding of non-buyers.

This may sounds unfair but it's actually very fair than the situation we're currently in.

I am just a believer that everyone has to play the game to earn the 1800 stars, and work for what they want. Not the latter.

would you suffer with developers getting 5$ profit or not suffer with devs getting 500$ profit?

this is the smartest shop item ever made

70 stars for what they are worth is laughable, they should be much cheaper. I didn't even think 100 stars was worth $30 but now, who is really going to buy this? And I agree, their purchase seems like a get-out-of-jail free card like the XP purchase used to be. They might as well bring that back considering the route they have taken. Then with a small loan of a $1000 and some sales, you could get a legend rank tank with everything M3 or above from a lowly recruit in the matter of minutes.

And this affects you .. how?

Actually - affects me - but - in a positive way.  Don't have to play the buyers until any of my accounts reaches rank that would play them.

Sounds like win-win to me.

I think price needs to be dropped to 500$ , but anyway as Maf said once " Prices are selected depending on the current economical situation of the game" So i just think that but actually it's a very good idea ! The bad of this idea might be only in the price : Higher price , less buyers .......

So you need to remove the 40$ to make a good middle  :P

The devs can change the price to however much they think is best.

Maybe add another zero to your suggested price removal for the discount?

How about buying Stars in bulk, as opposed to pre-set bundles? Currently, the rate is 29.99 USD for 100 Stars. Doing the math, that works out to 0.29 USD for one Star. This way, players could buy whatever amount of stars fits their budget or whatever is left of the Challenge at the end of the month.
