Can't connect to server since last night

Anyone else having trouble? I'm using the same Chromebook for like 3 years, this is the first time I cannot connect. I tried rebooting my router and cbook, ?

Same thing happened with me today, it was showing an error which looks like "cannot establish connection to port [port number]"

Funny thing is when I tried to log in from a different account, it was working. Then after few hours it was working fine.

Well, I guess their socket interfaces are really poor.

If you're playing the downloaded version I suggest you to try it in chrome or vice versa.

Try contacting your internet provider if it continues. Do you not have the ability to connect to battles, or is it another issue?

Using other browsers on a Chromebook is possible, but it is not recommended; also has significantly lower performance. The Chromebook is made for Google Chrome browser.

It's mainly a device for education and such things, but if you've been using it for 3 years without problems, it could just be something simple as the age of the device or something more serious. Using a Chromebook to play Tanki for three years, versus using it for things it is mainly made for. Just think about that. But, try using this guide to help.

Huh, I just learned something new, probably not relevant to the topic but here goes.

So a few nights ago, I couldn't get into tanki on internet explorer (browser which I have been playing tanki on for years) so I ended up downloading Google chrome, and the lag when I play tanki was soo bad compared to the minor lag that I was used to on internet explorer.

Thank the tanki lords that they fixed the issue with tanki not working on internet explorer.

Anyway, here's what I think happened: when you first play tanki on a certain browser, it'll be slow as hell, but as you keep playing it'll get better and better in terms of performance. Can someone validate this? Because I feel like it's a thing but I'm not sure.

It is not just for Tanki it's universal for all websites. What actually most browsers do is they save the caches and cookies.

Cache remembers the parts of the website so it takes less time when you load them again.

You can try this, load a web page then press back arrow (back button) then disable your internet. When you press the forward arrow (forward button) it will still load the page without internet connection because of the cache memory.

I think I'll be fine without the experiment, your post practically validated what I had thought. Thanx though.

And no, I hadn't thought of this before Thursday.

Yes, the game has to "normalize" to the new browser. That's a broad term, but you get what I mean. Whenever you clear your cache, the game will take longer to load and will be slow for a slight time, but will prop back up to normal after a few minutes or hours of use.

Am I the only one who didn't know this before thursday?
