From extremely rare occurrences to the most game-breaking glitches, and from interesting peripheral facts to secret in-game updates, here are twenty of the most rarest facts you might not know about Tanki Online...

No. 1 - On 5th October 2012, the developers of the game briefly opened the old version of the forum in read-only access mode so that players could gather their images and important texts before it would be closed forever.

No. 2 - Once upon a time, the Consultants team of the game had a battle in a tournament setting. Upon reaching the semi-finals, players could guess the final winner of the tournament and win some crystals!

No. 3 - In old times, two moderators of the game Flipsquad and MizARee tied the knots in the game in a hot of lags, disconnects and many, many glitches. The couple actually knew each other in real life, and met previously in another game.

No. 4 - In November 2012, an update made it so that new players would get an auto-generated key for login in to the game. Calling such players "newbies", the topic asserted that this change would decrease multi-regional account use in the future.

No. 5 - Long, long ago, the news column of the game site had set up a weekly calendar of blog content. Monday was a "Free Wallpaper Day" while Wednesday and Sunday was "Tanki's Got Talent" and "Comment of the Week" respectively. Intriguing, isn't it?

No. 6 - In the aforementioned Consultants' battle, three paints were available for purchase: SNEG, Goliafffffff and KLASH86RU6 - all of which were bought by a total of 49 798 players.

No. 7 - Appearing very rarely in some topics, and not at all in this whole year, the below image symbolizes the "Tanki's Got Talent" edition of the blog held many years ago...

No. 8 - Before release 110.0 there was no informative tutorial for new-comers in the game. Instead, newbie players would be taken straight into a pre-registration battle.

Using old broken refrigerator "Sever" and vacuum cleaner "Buran" local inventor made "freeze thrower". Professional engineer who had been fishing near the village noticed this invention and brought it to the Zhukov Research Institute. There clumsy freeze thrower became formidable Freeze gun. It showers enemy with the chemical composition based on freon. Victim takes damage and all its movements and processes become slower. Though a flow of fire can unfreeze a target.'

No. 10 - If Juggernaut and Terminator are added to one's account, then they are micro-upgradeable. More importantly, the descriptions for both read "He'll live" and "Hasta la vista, baby!" respectively.

No. 11 - On 9th December 2013, the game received a physics update after months of hard work by the developer team. Light hulls were lighter and heavy, heavier.

No. 12 - In 2013, the game administration wanted to start a community v-log for the English locale. In this regard, an ad was posted in the news column for the hiring of three choreographers, four art illustrators and one sound/video editor.

No. 20 - In the sixth month of 2013, in a blog post, the developers went over new turrets and hulls that could be added in the game. They went over "a turret that could launch missiles" and "fast, massive damage shotgun. Sound like Striker and Hammer to you? As for hulls, ideas for a hovercraft-style hull and "a hull which grows bigger in size and returns soon afterwards" were initiated. Juggernaut, perhaps?

Huh, I didn't know most of these.

What does number 4 mean, though?!? o_O

It means that the system would generate new players a password for logging into their account.

No. 21 - tanki don't care about free players.

If you came to my topic to spread hate and cause arguments, you're not welcome. I've been a free player since three years, and yet I don't complain.

It's fine, I really hate when someone just comes up and creates arguments for nothing. As long as there is constructive criticism, it's totally fine. :)

Nice work... though I did know a good number of these.  Although you might have wanted to include a few more images, and I found a few grammar mistakes, at least in your first time posting.  Keep up the good work!

At least be honest mate, I mean - it's a great article and everything, but I remember you describing in detail your alternate account and the purchases you'd made while we were Helpers together. This wasn't even 2 years ago.

And honestly, as a Helper you get enough in-game compensation to remove the need to buy crystals/items etc.

And thirdly, it's a well-known fact that Reporters don't generally play the actual game a great deal. I know from experience how timeconsuming writing articles/checking them etc is, and considering the fact that you're a Wiki Admin now I'm sure you have very little time for the game itself :)

Just curious, where did you got that image from? I like how they seem to have Alternativa's old logo in the rings

Old news topic in the main page.
