How bad updates came. What do you think is their point?

When I said that updates help retain players, I didn't mean they stop the loss of players completely. They just help slow it down. To put that in perspective, Tanki was losing popularity fastest during 2015, when there were barely any game updates:

Percentage-wise the decline has sped up considerably, even though most games first lose lots of players after peak time, then find stability. That's according to Google Trends.

The guy mixed up the terms. He meant 'P2W' for sure.Too obvious that what he meant was bringing back old Tanki.

Given that noticing this should be easy regardless of how intelligent you are, I assume you are mocking this guy.

Why is that? You think all people know good English?

How is that "mocking him"? I gave him my honest answer.

I can't just give people my honest answers because it "makes me look like I'm mocking them"?

I'll remember this when you actually give out valid points.;)

I just watched a WoT vs WT video. One guy wrote a comment mentioning Tanki.

Guess what? A lot of people answered there, and pretty much all of them agreed that TO died in 2014/15. Some pointed at 2016.

Look at TO reviews on steam, or answers under the announcement regarding MM intriduction. Also removing the option of creating standard battles.

There is no way to argue that today's TO is better than it used to be or that updates are keeping it alive. It simply isn't true.

Here's the vid, go to youtoube and scroll down a couple times

BTW most of the comments say tanki peaked in 2014/15, not died.

I'm honestly surprised that Alternava hasn't taken Tanki down from steam yet.

It's just too obvious that he meant P2W since Tanki never was P2P, and it is hard to say that one game is 'more P2P' than another.

Yet you answer as if he meant P2P for real. Second point is similair.

If that was simply a lack of intuition, forgive me. But it looks like mocking for sure.

Strangely enough I didn't see a single reference to peaking there, but there were multiple comments about bad updates.

You see, nowadays there are less people in TO who hate new updates, the reason being that most of them quit.

However, even though TO lost lots of players, we still hear negative comments about all those 'innovative' changes.

But talk about it anywhere else, and most will agree that this game was best in 2014/15 and that the updates that followed were bad.

A few players have said that the only thing keeping them from going over to WoT is respawning. In WoT, once you're dead, you're dead. But you can either watch the rest of the battle in viewer mode or go back to the garage, grab another tank and enter a different battle.

True! But imagine WoT with respawns or TO without them haha

5. Introducing new turrets. It was always just a few players who wanted new guns. The concept of Magnum is incompatible with this game.

I want new turrets lol.

It gets boring if you're left with the same options for years on end.

Adding all of these new features has made the game not just about shooting, exploding, and re-spawning.

It offers variety in gameplay, skills, nice ways to get rewards, and much more.

(I really love how we got Shards, the HD Skins, and new Augments.)

I can understand the meaning of MM as most of the games have it and many events/modes wont work without it and maybe even the game concept is in a meaningless without it, and players with pro-battles can deny many of the developers updates like Drones.  All are logical reasons for MM while I hate it to a level that no one know how I hate the MM

But what I couldn't understand and couldn't even accept the disgusting Overdrives? Ruined the game completely and punished the skilled player, just gave the noobs a guaranteed opportunity to kill. This is not a P2W update, developers should remove it. If an update is not a p2w and players disliked it, I see no meaning of it. I really don't know why the developers implemented and kept such update.

And i want balanced game like before, sadly that is too much to ask.

We can make it balanced as we move forward, as tankers continue giving their feedback, and as we let developers see all the feedback.

For now, play and create you Perfect Tank that you are most comfortable with, and can play the best with. This can make your gameplay more enjoyable.

I use my favorite combo most of the time, and get top places. I don't find anything too hard to battle against because I'm using my strong/best/favorite tank.

Ah... but it IS a P2W update.

OD is a positive feedback loop.  The more powerful your set-up is the more often you will get OD since OD is not generated just by time. Score also plays a large factor in how soon and how often you get OD.  First players to get OD now have a much better chance to generate OD even faster. And since OD is like God-Mode-On, those players will generate a much higher score.

Which type of player do you think gets Overdrive more often in a battle?

Overdrives were added because tanki wanted to approach the mainstream in the gaming world. It just seem safe for a game to have "ultimates", "casts", "skills", etc.

Sure, it's ugly to see a brainless hunter or wasp to use OD to kill literally one tank, but a battle with balanced sides and good players is so fun and even makes your palms sweaty.

Honestly I don't know much about the other games.. When I see games such LoL I feel they're extremely complicated I don't like this kind of games. All of the games I know are the popular not-hardcore games. Like CoC FIFA Minecraft PUBG Fortnite.. All I see in a side and games like LoL Overwatch FarCry in another side. The first ones are pretty popular and less complicated - less demanding of high specs. The second ones are pretty complicated and mostly for hardcore gamers.

Ok for my test of games I haven't met thing like overdrives.. But I really believe that the other hardcore games have many complicated things / and many things to collect to strength the character temporarily "ODs". And yeah from the first time I heard about the ODs from the weekly Vlogs I said to myself directly that they steal the concept from other games and trying slightly to move Tanki to that side. And honestly I wasn't comforted with this concept. In that time I left the game for about 1.5 years, but I was still watching the weekly Vlogs as they're fun. But after I returned to the game in 2020, I stunned and get lost with the ODs and their mechanics.
