Bad Updates > No Updates

Unpopular opinion but in my great wisdom I have come to realize that the game truly is boring without any updates, especially since that there are only like 10 different maps we ever play in.

The updates aren't bad but it does make Tanki Online difficult for veterans.I remember quitting TO after Gefrieter in 2016 because I saw M1 prices and didn't know  how to get that much crystals.That was Real P2W,I guess.People call it P2W for literally no reason today except that they're not willing to accept their mistakes and start a new account

Any game that doesn't receive updates will stagnate and become boring, humans have a want for something new all the time, if you think the game was more fun in 201x then its almost certainly because it was new to you. Other newbie players are experiencing the same excitement as you did back then, although obviously far less in quantity since the game isnt as groundbreaking or fresh as it was years ago, amongst other reasons.

 

Tanki most certainly would not even exist currently had the developers decided to keep it as it was originally.

I'd actually like to try Tanks For Two, the pre-predecessor to Tanki. Maybe they could have it on the Wiki as a sort of legacy thing.

Should be throwback events where tanki reverts a bunch of updates for about a week. Of course, not game economy/physics updates but maybe like old-versions of maps, deleted maps, old loading screens, etc.

There is not many bad updates anyways tanki always adds an "unpopular update" followed by a loved one and even "Bad" updates aren't that bad I low key like matchmaking anddrones now

The only thing that kept me playing Tanki back in 2011 was the fact it was a novel experience for me. I liked trying out new turrets as they unlocked. 

 

The amount of hackers back then were enormous. It really took the fun out of the game.

I would 500% take the current Tanki over any period.

Because reverting updates in this game is just deleting lines of codes that you can add right back after, right?

Yeah, totally. I don't even understand why it's taking them 2 years to convert the game to HTML5. Just copy-paste the code, then do Ctrl+F and replace all instances of "Flash" with "HTML5". Easy!

 

 

 

To be fair, sensei did specificlaly say that only old maps and textures would be reverted, and those should just be files stored somewhere. They can probably be added back into the game with relative ease, since it still uses the same map mechanics.

I wished the game stopped updating since 2018.
