Well, Tanki X was never that popular and it was hard to run for some people because of the graphic. Many tanki players don't have that great pc to handle the game and for that reason probably people didn't play i believe. Even if it wasn't for great pc but the game it self wouldn't be popular because of the new games which are on trend like Fortnite, Pubg and many other games. Tank games are kinda old and it was fun to play around in 2011 that time Tank games were on trend as well. I remember a lot people used to play from school and everyone from my local area but now everyone stopped and moved on to new games.  BTW, i think it's a great news that Tanki X closing so that they can have more developers working on tanki online, bascially focusing on 1 game rather than having developers on other game that isn't growing at all.

new games which are on trend like Fortnite, Pubg and many other games.

Battle Royale games are a dying trend imho. Fortnite is losing players, Apex is kinda dead because of slow updates (so I've heard) , and when was the last time you heard of PUBG? Older games like Minecraft are having a resurgence, and many people are are saying that the newest Call of Duty will be the best one in years (Same with Halo, however there is controversy about people leaving the company and microtransactions)

What's dumb is that Daybreak Games (formerly Sony Online Entertainment), the guys that made the dumpster fire called H1Z1, are making ANOTHER BR game when it's becoming common knowledge that BR won't be profitable for much longer.

Sigh. Was such a great game, at least better than it's pay-to-win alternative (aka Tanki Online). Was the only game I actually enjoyed playing RIP  :(

Also thanks for the X-Crystals, finally I can play with XT Zeus :))

Um.... TO's P2W characteristics depend many factors.

Remember one blurb in TX when loading a battle says "Higher league requires high level modules. Rating is hard to increase yet easy to lose."  This itself lead P2W.

I didn't really like that game, the game mechanics were too confusing and every time you got something the game would tell you to equip it, no matter what it was or if it was better, and it wouldn't even give you the stats - also my brother LOST his computer because of it.

I tried to make account in the past and all it said was not available for my country , so i stopped trying ( i wasnt in some exotic country , i was in Europe ) .

I hope it does attract a few people over here , since this is dying also .

This is like saying that "higher rank matches in TO require better equipment" is P2W.

The key was "... is hard to increase yet easy to lose".

They were being literal - you can actually go backwards in the ranking in TX. Get stuck on a bunch of bad teams and soon you are playing in the penny-League.

Well I did not realize that that was what being referred to as the P2W aspect.

At any rate this is the case with the vast majority of competitive games, and I don't think there is anything wrong with such a ranking system. The issue with Tanki X is that there was no real "non-competitive" mode.

What do you mean?    You could play non-League battles...

One of the main reasons I stopped playing TX was their ranking-system.  A punitive system does instill loyalty in the masses.  And look at the result...

If I remember correctly - and perhaps I don't - non-league battles did not give you the rewards league battles did, and furthermore the queue times were quite long.

You are correct about the rewards.  But Pro-battles are not much different in that aspect.  Losing team in PB still gets squat...

Signed up for the trial of Tanki X, and a few months on it.. Hated the wait for getting into games in Match making, as not enough players then. So did not play any further when it was launched..

So many Items from Tanki X, has I Found its way into TAnki Online, and its evident, that they are not working either.. However Match making now is driving so many away too, as not enough players in Tanki Online to support it.. As I write this, 7k players, but when I play at night its only 2 to 3K, making it hard for battles, and finish mission's..

So in conclusion, the game is a great game, the problem lies within the leadership, forcing unwanted designs into the game, and having a " stuff you" attitude to the player, as they know best.. But the player pays the wages, I have no feelings if TAnki Online closes also, as its heading that way too.. It will be a big miss in my life, but things move on--

.

Kind of you to let people know about this, however, there was already an announcement on the forum about the promo, so I believe most people who see this will already know.

Good idea, though.

Cheers :)

Good thing I didn't play it much.

Also I find it funny that people say it was less P2W than TO is. It's actually the other way around.

*cough* modules *cough*

They fixed the imbalance though with the rebellion, (kindof like tanki's wars) you could get basically every single tier 3 module! I got every module ingame after the first rebellion with the rewards, and it was pretty balanced for me after that. anyone else that didn't get into the rebellion on antaeus' side, jumped to antaeus' side for the second one and caught up. only the people who joined after the two rebellions didn't get anything.

When? Recently?

And even so, there is still another problem with TX modules, they just over complicate the game.
