HTML5 limited public release

Where can we change controls? I want to prevent dropping golds by mistake, so I want to remove the "6" from the key settings.

 

Not sure if I like the new interface or not tbh...

So much has been done.

So much left to get done.

 

Remove Groups from MM, and don't put friends in the same battle, remember friends for up to a week after they have unfriended.

 

Then create Battle List battles specially for friends and clans with special options, with reward system like MM battles.

 

And then maybe a third section for Custom battles for all others.

I tried with Opera and it says "sorry, site maintenance in progress".

 

I removed Chrome some time ago. I don't like Google.

 

I use Firefox for browsing and the Client for Tanki.

 

 

How, if it doen't know how?

By switching to HTML5.

.... except i cant change my controls (i use my arrow keys to turn/shoot my turret) to what im used to. when is this going to be changed, i really want to play in the new html5 version with my controls im used to and a lot of other players probs also have changed their controls and want to be able to change controls in the new html5 

 P.S where is the news going to be?

The new HTML5 version makes me very dizzy and gives me headaches. The way the graphics motion moves onscreen with the strange camera wobble makes me very dizzy and gives me headaches. Please do something about that. I cannot play Tanki Online with an interface which gives me headaches.

Have you played for a while to get used to it? I found it dizzy at first but got used to it in 20 mins.

These extra features will be rolled out soon, for now this is an early version.

I tried with Opera and it says:

Looks like the problem is that my laptop doesn't support WebGL 2, and I can't update the driver from the driver manager. So I have to look for updates from manufacturers or get a new laptop... both are not going to happen soon.

 

So the new HTML5 version only work with WebGL 2?

 

 

 

How?

 

Tanki is now a "real game" with ODs, Drones, MM and all. And with each of these updates it keeps losing players.

 

Battles are awful, I don't think new players will stay for longer even if they promote Tanki.

 

Tanki needs a new management that can fix the game fundamentally.

Actually the game doesnt gain new players already which means if the newbies are less than the leavers

So if the game changed itself to how it was in 2014 , it wont gain new players...

But if they start advertising, more players will know the game, some will love and some will hate... but the game will survive in this case..

And mentioning OD,supplies ,drones and protections they just make the game more realistic

But their disadvantage that they destroy the skill part in the game which most of the old players like...

Some people might like ODs and those drones ,supplies and protections while some others might not like it

But in same time we need to respect each other opinions for example i might be liking cartoonish graphics but you might be liking realistic graphics so each one needs to respect the other’s opinions.

For now, the game would survive for some time.. but the problem is just they don’t have to waste time and as they said themselves they don’t want to close the game so they have their own plans in their minds....

Just as the site entered maintenance, I was in battle. The screen turned entirely gray, and I couldn't partecipate anymore for my team. Luckily I did not refresh or I would've lost what I had obtained...

So far ... not liking it.  Tank movement feels clunky and cant get comfortable with camera angle.  Borrowed TOO much from TX

 

 

Also - in the garage my damage and hull value should reflect the bonus when a drone is equipped.

The turns, the rotations, and the camera adjustments are a bit too jerky.

 

Also the interface is a bit confusing and a bit inconvenient in some areas.

 

I do love that the main menu shows your current equipment in a basic form.

Headache, dizziness and sickness symptoms

 

Yes, I have played the HTML5 version of Tanki Online for quite some time. What I have noticed is, the more I play and the more dizzy I feel. Later on I get extreme headaches with sickness symptoms. That's true. I am not kidding. I do admit it that I get sickness symptoms and head spinning dizziness effects. Please do something about that.

 

Camera wobble and bouncy tanks

 

The camera wobble and shakiness movement accompanied with bouncy tanks is what makes gameplay very strange. The steering of tanks is very bad because there is no flexible steering like in the Flash version of Tanki Online. The camera wobble and bouncy tanks is the thing that gives me dizziness, headaches and sickness symptoms. Those symptoms appear immediately after joining a battle.

 

Overall gameplay motion

 

The overall gameplay motion also gives me those dizziness, sickness and headache effects. Whether or not I play a few battles or play all day, the negative effects of the HTML5 version of Tanki Online really makes me feel unwell. This is something that developers much tackle immediately because I am not the only person suffering this negative visual effect that gets into my brain. There are other players that are affected by this dizziness and sickness effect too, so please can you developers do something about that as soon as possible.

 

For those of you players that suffer this headache and dizziness effect, please post it down here and let us all know. We want our players to feel well when playing Tanki Online.

 

This post that I have written is a very serious one. Please report this post immediately to the developers. This post must be forwarded to developers as soon as possible. This is a health issue that must be dealt with urgently.

 

Since I get extremely dizzy when playing the HTML5 version of Tanki Online, I will no longer participate in playing the HTML5 version of this game. Instead, i will always use the Flash version just to make sure I don't feel dizzy. I can play all day with the Flash version of Tanki Online and I never get headaches, sickness symptoms or dizziness.

Take a break from playing or play with Flash or client.

 

I don't know about these but be careful, you may get seizures or something.

 

 

I wonder who forced you to launch public testing when site is under maintenance all time?

 

Your PC probably doesn't support WebGL 2. Check the link to check WebGL 2 in the 1st post.

 

IMPORTANT

 

The new version works only on Chromium based browsers (Chrome, Yandex, Opera). Your PC should also support WebGL2. You can check it here.

So here are a few things I feel need mentioning.

 

  • Equipment Change:
    In the Flash version, if user entered garage after dying but before re-spawning, and changed equipment, user respawned with the new equipment. With HTML5, changing equipment in that way results in self-destruct and then change of equipment. (I haven't checked whether that counts towards deaths; I'll do that and edit the post).
     
  • Team Identification:
    In the older version, it was very easy to identify enemy tankers. With the HTML5 version(and it's graphics) I feel it is harder to identify the team of a tanker.
     
  • Matchmaking:
    In the HTML version, upon completion of a MM battle entered via quick battle, the next queue is for the battle type just completed, not for quick battle. When a player has competed a quick battle and clicks continue, the queue should again be for quick battle.
     
  • Graphics:
    The colours and saturation in the new version are, I feel too bright. It'd be better if both were muted down a bit. Some people have already mentioned the camera movement change. However, I find it mostly the same and not too much of an issue.
     
  • Full screen:
    My habit is to load the MM screen without full page and then go into full page mode on chrome when I've entered battle. The HTML5 version doesn't allow that. One more minor thing, when going full screen, the botton that makes tanki full screen has an icon on it '[ ]'. However in full screen mode the button does not have any icon to go back. The button works,it just doesn't have an icon.
     
  • Rank Available Icons:
    The rank image files are not loading in the Product Kits section and other places I've seen. It just shows the broken URL thumbnail.
     
  • Battle Info:
    I think it'd be better to decrease the area of the screen occupied by the information on the screen(like x killed y; Point A captured, etc) because it obscures movements by other players. Also, increase the size of the overhead display with points held by each team(for control points) 

Here are some things I liked:

  • Radar! That''s a nice idea! I haven't been able to pay much attention to that yet, however I will do so and see how it changes gameplay.
  • X-Ray Vision: It is really nice to know that a hammer/hunter is waiting around the corner, but wouldn't it boost the effectiveness of Magnum and change the game balance? Just wondering here.

Nice and stable. Good work for tanki programmers. Some comments bellow:

  1. Would like to double click on an item in the garage and get the item equipped.
  2. Cannot still participate in a Pro Battle without Battle Pass.
  3. Would like “G” button to drive to the garage and “V” to see resistance modules.
  4. When overdrive is ready to use it should be more noticeable (like mobile version).
  5. For gold box drop key number “6”, would like to have the capability to reassign

It seems that i won't be able to play tanki anymore cuz it shows only 0-3 fps in the html5  :(

You need a better graffics cart, or a new computer. Normally a player should have about 60 fps

What I understand is that its for limited no of players. When max. no. of player join HTML5 it says site is under maintenance to rest of players.

You need a better graffics cart, or a new computer. Normally a player should have about 60 fps

Yeah they going to make tanki pure buyers game with good PCs. Good luck tanki. Have fun
