HTML5 limited public release

Not aimed at me, but I can't play it for than a couple of minutes before I start feeling sick. I use Hunter / Smoky and the camera movement when you turn your turret is far too violent. Also makes aiming very difficult, and I'm rarely hitting anything.

I think it's unplayable.

I felt the same, but after 30 mins I was used to it, now the Flash version feels weird.

Actually , i love the new interface , its now cooler with HTML5 , i've already got bored from the old one..
BUT....
there is a problem...
Basically, when using double damage , or any of the other supplies , i am obligated to use the number 3 above W,A,S,D and not the Number 3 next to the arrow keys and the enter key on the keyboard.
PLUS , i Can't change the controls like it was in Flash which is not comfortable when playing such formats like Matchmaking.

can you guys add the option to change the controls in HTML5?

Topics merged

This is most likely planned, along with all the other missing features.

HTML5 has a very good performance. I like it. But please, PLEASE change the camera, it's shaking way to much. Please lock it on the turret like it always was, otherwise I'll get a headache everytime Im playing.

It might be the different "levels" of GS in a battle:

More yellow: lower GS

More red: average GS (in the battle)

Green and a bit of yellow: Highest GS in a battle (I think)

The new GS is color-coded by thousands

9000+ = Green/Yellow

8000-8999 = Red

7000-7999 = Orange

6000-6999 = Yellow

I  followed the instructions

Option 2 - Chrome

The second option is a bit of a headache, and you’ll only be able to do it AFTER Version 76 of Chrome is rolled out.

  1. You will need to go to Chrome settings, look for Flash and click on «Allow».
  2. Next, you’ll have to go to the Tanki Online homepage and click “Play”.
  3. When the game window appears, you’ll have to click on the padlock icon and click «Allow». And, every time you restart your browser, you’ll need to do the thing with the padlock again.

but automatically as soon as i click "play" appears the HTML version!!!! (from https://tankionline.com/battle-en.html to https://tankionline.com/play/)

I don.t know anymore how I can solve the problem!

My Chrome version is: Versione 76.0.3809.132 (64 bit)

Please dont remove the old look : ( i was exited for having the new html5 and all the new probabilities for it . but when i tested i was realy realy disapointed

1 the camera will not work fine

2 the boxes icons are not visible enough

3 the shop is harder to find

4 zooming in and out is not working good

5 to leave a battle you need to pres esc and then the fulscreen wil go off to.

I agree that New Interface has some disadvantages, but in the same time

1- I got bored from the old interface..

The Old Interface is not nice with HTML5 language , fonts look bad..

and by the way tanki has been on the old interface for 10 years now .. So those who still play from old days has got enough bored from the interface.

2- If you say keep the game on flash , chrome will be not supporting flash anymore and flash will be discontinued by Adobe in 2020... So the game is obligated to move to HTML5 and Adobe announced  that flash ends on 2020 in 2017 ( the same year tanki started talking about Matchmaking and HTML5 )

So if they didnt leave flash and they didnt make game HTML5, the game will stop running in 2020 and you'll say Goodbye to Tanki Online.

The game can build its future again, it's not impossible .... Just don't look on how game is now , Nobody among us  knows the future to say " Tanki will be shut down soon " but in same time look forward....... You might be saying Tanki is closing but you got shocked on how will it look in the future.

Wow! After trying the HTML5 browser version, I liked the look but I was getting excessive lag. Then I remembered the graphics settings... I turned everything off (including the skybox) and woah! I'm averaging 60 fps! Browser Flash was giving me average 15 fps with all graphics turned off.

So, decided to test my internet. Results (speedtest on Google): 1.07 mbps download, 0.21 mbps upload

Yes, you read that right. And I'm getting 60 fps! I've never played Tanki this smoothly, and I'm getting better results in MM.

Turns out it was a good update. It didn't fix MM, but it sure made it a whole lot better because of no lagging.

Or try this instructions...

My instructions to play the Flash version with Chrome

Step 1: Set the Flash permission to Ask First in Settings

  • Go here in Chrome: chrome://settings/content/flash (Which is the same as going to: Settings > Advanced > Privacy and security > Site Settings > Flash)
  • Click 'Block sites from running Flash' to change the setting to 'Ask First'
  • You can exit Settings now.

Step 2: Go to Tanki Online website and Allow Chrome to launch Flash

Well, your internet speed has no bearing on your FPS, but it does affect ping. However yes, this is a huge step up in performance, it's above even the flash client, without all of the errors involved with it.

?? Wouldn't slower download speed mean that you get slower input from the server, meaning less fps?

No. Rendering and some calculations are performed client-side, not server-side. When you have slow download speed, tanks may jump around because their positions are updated less frequently, but your FPS remains the same.

It's annoying how I have to go to the Flash client or TO mobile to buy product kits with crystals. If this is declined or invalid, then Tanki did an oopsie (if you know what I mean). Please don't merge this topic with any other topic.

Why this will benefit the players: It will bring equipment that isn't normally unlockable at any tanker's rank, at an affordable price. This will lead to F2P people actually having a chance to win against P2W people.

If you're viewing this topic and you're in the Legend ranks, you're probably @RIDDLER_8 or @Maf and this won't benefit you much, but most players aren't in the Legend ranks, so this will benefit most of those players.

Oh - so fps is not the tanks jumping around part?

Look, I'm a volleyball player - tech isn't my thing :P

That's an error with the Flash browser version, specifically related to the fact that Chrome has taken away support for Flash.

This topic is dedicated to the new HTML5 version, which is available here: tankionline.com/play/

Check it out if Flash isn't working for you.
