Top 10 Potential Matchmaking Maps

The smallest maps are the best in MM , Sandbox and Sandal for example, They are so small that you almost don't have to spend time driving around, Only a few seconds with Nitro and you are in the Enemy base, Matchmaking battles are only 7 minutes long, for example Brest (the map) it is way too big, if you are attacking in Brest CTF you will probably spend 2 minutes of the 7 driving into the enemy base, to attempt to take the enemy flag, which is difficult to succeed as well.

It would take you 2 minutes to get to the enemy base in Brest if you were using titan or Mammoth.

With my m3 12/20 Viking with speed boost it takes me only 15 seconds to get to the other side of the map, assuming that I spawn on the side of my teams fortress. 30 seconds at most.

I remember the variety of maps we had to choose from back when MM wasn't a thing.  Damn, esplanade really brings back some good memories.  Maps like rift, station, and subway were really cool too.  GJ Tidebreaker!

Also, noise, rio, and hill were honestly some of the coolest maps ever.  I wish we could choose the maps we played without the pro battle pass...

They don't need to hit inside a tunnel. Tanks don't spawn inside tunnels.

Their turret angle will be too high for them to hit that deep - they'll overshoot for sure.

Not necessarily. These maps definitely don't support all turrets. The most balanced MM map right now is probably Kungur - any turret can contend there fairly well.

nice work!  However, the descriptions had little punctuation inconsistencies, which kind of threw me off.  Neat work overall.

:D how did I not see this coming

Is it just me, or does Wolfenstein MM feel like the biggest map in MM? It takes forever to get to the other side of the map. Brest honestly isn't even that bad.

I know I struck a nostalgia cord in everyone with these maps. That's why I stressed long and hard about the order.

Honestly, a map voting system could be pretty cool to implement. I'm so tired of Aleksandrovsk.

You picked the worst maps that have been added to MM.  Way too small for 8 vs 8, let alone 16 in DM.

You spend as much time re-spawning as you do  anyhting else.  So how is re-spawning better than actually driving?

This was a nice read.

But I do not think maps like deck-9 and Pass would be added cuz they consist of a low player count : (

lol @cosmic666 just saw had a typo, not acc, it should be "count"

Great article! As always.

But those maps wont be added. As if you notice, every map in MM is resemble the other one. Required the same strategy, same equipment. just move and shot. whatever the map differ from the other, they still resemble in the heart and the base.

In example Rift map, I liked it too. But as you see the way in pipes.. It's not a practical way to move, also as you mentioned the open areas is something incredible in this map.. So I think the developers will add this map.

Btw, went far from the topic, I will bring a pretty old map, maybe your mind will hit the last of stroke in your memories, Short bridge

Though I didn't like this map, also very small to be in MM, but just a pretty old map that came with Tanki from the beginning.. Sandbox is to be a memorize map but as it's extremely popular so 0% nostalgia. Oh wait, I think I convert this topic for nostalgic memories, btw yeah
