It look's like the Devs are moving Tanki X to Tanki Online

In the last V-log (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjJhBI6Z2gA at about 2:30) the Devs showed us a "reworked" design for Thunder Prime. now on September 6th some of us saw the death of "Tanki X" with this post (https://en.forum.tankix.com/forums/topic/7023-tanki-x-is-discontinued-in-the-end-of-2019/) and it seems that they are moving "Tanki X" graphics to "Tanki Online"! I mean just look at the graphics for thunder in Tanki X! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuXxfK93XVA at 1:56) now that look's a heck of a lot like the "new" graphics for thunder doesn't it?

P.S I'never really used the Forms before so I don't know what I'm doing

It certainly won't become the same as TX, HTML5 cannot support the same sort of graphics.

The arcadey look is part of the game as well.

Also, welcome to the forum :D

I'd like TO to remain as it is mostly. In TO I can shoot people with Smoky through the tiniest of gaps whereas TX was like playing a Namco arcade game with tanks made of jelly.

A few more polygons and higher resolution textures would be nice, but I don't want graphic upgrades which alter the gameplay.

Tanki X was originally meant to be an improved copy of Tanki Online. It was supposed to completely replace TO, bringing all accounts from TO to TX and shutting down TO.

After it was known that TX couldn't be played in-browser, it was decided to release it as a standalone game and develop it in a different direction, while TO would continue to exist and have its own unique updates, different from TX.

Once HTML5 became an option and it was clear that TO could get a second life, while TX was already doing poorly with its profit and player base, it was decided to improve TO and implement any possible improvements which already exist in TX. This has been happening for the past 2 years already, and will continue to happen now that Tanki Online is still AlternativaGames' main project.

I kinda find it quite ironic that TX was originally gonna replace TO, but in reality TO is replacing TX in a sense.

You could say that TX is helping TO survive a bit longer...

as turrets don't have hit-boxs I don't think it won't be different gameplay wise

I feel like I know that quote...

1. In the world there is a lot of other popular games.

2. It seems that players didnt see any point of moving from TO to TX, because almost the same game mechanics with more sensitivity and just better graphics, while having same server issues as TO. Like....old dog with new look.

3. Russian DEVs just tend to screw games up time by time, when question comes to money :) There is some good examples.

Once again, this was only because TX couldn't be turned into what it was originally made to become. If Unity could still be supported by browsers, 2 years ago all Tanki Online players would move into Tanki X, which would have been an optimised, better looking and more fun version of TO. There would be a bunch of cool new maps added, with style and gameplay similar to that battleship map in Tanki X. There would have been new turrets, hulles, overdrives, etc.

And the best part is, all accounts would have been fully transferred with no loss, so there would be absolutely no reason to stay in Tanki Online, especially considering that TO would likely close soon after official release of TX.

But since TX got locked out of browsers, the situation played out the way it did.

I wouldnt be so sure about this optimising thing. Yeah, new maps, turrets, hulls, features, but optimising...hmmm.   Also, game with low graphics and so on with prices like high-end games has. It just doesnt go together. Also, p2w. Yeah, somehow have to keep running servers, payouts and so on, but DEVs would get more, if DEVs COULD STOP FORCING PLAYERS BUY THINGS. Those tankoins...nice move, which forces players to buy something. Like, you have kit for 10 tankoins, but in tankoins there is 4, 8 or 14 tankoin pack, so you basicly have to buy more with some leftovers after purchasing 10 tankoin kiy.

You will have to explain how Tanki is forcing you to buy anything. These Koins are given on top of other rewards. If they were giving away too many of them player would not need to buy anything, which is not good for the company. The shop is for extra stuff, you don't need anything from the shop to play. If yo buy is because you want to gain an advantage over the other players that don't: more drugs, stronger equipment or look good.

The Koins have advantage mainly for buyers and in particular Mobile users during the discount period. Koins are like Crystals, you need to save them for the right sale.

I have to disagree with you there. Getting a kit 2 ranks earlier than the same kit in the garage (and without rotations), is definitely something you need to play. "Need" is a bit of a subjective word here, because technically you don't need to buy anything and could just play with Hunter Smoky M0 from start to finish. But buying upgrades, and buying upgrades as early as possible, be it from garage or shop, definitely helps with overall enjoyment from the game.

Not wrong, it is still to get stronger than other players. It was fair when it was unlocked at the same rank, but they changed that.

Most of the buyer don't tend to buy only one equipment, they would still buy more than necessary, so other player that max up one combo and be competitive especially with the widely rank MM selection, you won't finish first of every battle.
