Rapid Fire consumable?

I think that it would be nice to have a consumable which allows for quicker reload time. Although it would be really cheap to have this with a double power, I think maybe there are some solutions to fix this, such as not allowing for double power to be used while this hypothetical drug is in use. What do you guys think?

This idea appeared in the beginning of 2010 in the Russian forum)) If I'm not mistaken - was refused.

well, imagine a thunder M3 with rapid fire would destroy you in one-two seconds.. This is probably in the russian forum the domain was refused.

no one ever said how fast it would make your turret fire. It would just make the reload time not as long. Also, if it is a really ridiculously powerful drug, the price could be set higher.

I like the idea, will be the hero of the Railers, isidas and Firebirds cause both have slow reload.

 

so there will be not more triple druggers, but there will be quadruple druggers

I think it would be better if this consumable couldn't be used with double power. It would be so cheap if one had a double power and faster reload.

I hope not for all twins users will be pwing people and with double damage only turrets on field will be plamsa balls left and right like meteor shower not too mention fire/free and isida will be up there pwing as well.

Twins m3 would be crazy O_o

 

I'm not saying it has to be for all weapons. That is an easy problem to fix. Maybe just one second less for reload for railgun and thunder.

hmm perhaps having diferent powers for each turret i.e rail gun lower reload time but not much, thunder maybe slight increase in damage per distance, isdia,freeze,firebird slight increase in range smokey slight range increase ricochet more bounces before blow up? but to be fair each would need a lot of balance in coherts with the others ppowers up as not to just be superoverowered like this drug cant be used with double damage at same time or something just thoughts.

Twins would cause alot of lag due to the consumable because twins itself already shoots REALLY fast with the extra knock back to piss everybody off and with a nuke it pisses everybody of on the other team and with a Rapid fire? O.O a line of plasma

As I said before, this consumable could easily be set so it only can be used with rails and thunders. I agree, twins already are way too annoying with their pushy power to have rapid fire.

Thunder already shoots almost 27 times a minute -.- like 3 times in 5 seconds and then what with the rapid fire 4 times in 5 seconds?

M3 Thunder does not take 4 seconds to reload...

 

That's true koolwalky. But all these problems could be easily fixed. This problem with the reload could easily be solved with a simple mathematical formula: xy = k. In this formula, k is the constant, which in this case, is the maximum amount of subtracted time of reload the consumable can afford. X is the normal amount of time it would take to reload, based on how upgraded the gun is. And finally, Y is the amount of kick, or subtracted time, the consumable has based on the level of upgrade of the gun. If you plug your numbers in, the amount of subtracted time from the consumable diminishes in proportion to the amount of increase of the upgrade of the gun. So, basically, no matter how upgraded you gun is, when this consumable is activated, the time it takes to reload is shortened, but is constant for all levels of upgrade. The amount of time this consumable may shorten is arbitrary and up to the devs. if this idea is to be put into action.
