Adding self damage to Gauss

AsAll turrets who do splash damage in battle (thunder, magnum and twins) inflict self-damage when it is too close to the tank it fires upon. Except Gauss.
Isn't it more balanced to add this (downside) feature to Gauss?

Gauss already has self-damage, both from singular shots and lock-on shots. If for whatever reason you didn't have self-damage when using Gauss, you may have found a bug. Please ensure that you are not mistaken, and if it is an actual bug, report it in this topic.
