Declined Earn past tier premium stars when receiving premium from containers or shop

I have a good solution to solve a problem that consists of earning the premium stars from previous tiers. When you manage to unlock premium from containers, or buy premium from the shop, there should be a system that gives you the premium stars that you did not get on the previous tiers when you were not premium. That works in the same way as when you unlock premium to earn all the gold tier rewards you did not earn. This system will not change reward sizes at all, but only give you premium stars you did not get before until the moment where you unlocked the gold premium tier rewards.

 

 

The image of a battle I completed above shows that number of stars I have earned as a non-premium players. I have earned 2 stars for my current position and 4 unlocked premium stars for my current position.

 

That means that when players finishes any tiers on the silver tier, they earn stars from the silver tier. When players unlocks the gold premium tier, they would earn only stars from the past gold tiers when unlocking the gold tier with premium.

 

That way, there stars system would become more fair to players who becomes premium. That also means that those players who converted to premium would have less tedious efforts for earning stars, so more players would be able to complete challenges sooner.

This was discussed and clarified by developers multiple times ever since the double stars feature was introduced for Premium users. They do not intend to compensate "lost" stars if you didn't have Premium at the time of playing those battles.

 

it's equivalent to buying a whole bunch of stars directly for money. And that's something you can already do via the Shop.

That's not fair because for the HTML5 version of Tanki Online, you can see how many extra stars you would earn if you had premium during the time of the current past battles. Opening a premium container or buying premium from the shop should give you back stars that you would have earned if you were a premium player.

With premium, would reward you with those extra stars if you convert to premium later on.

 

Earning stars you already earned should be unlocked and added to your account when activating premium time. That is logical.

Premium is a bonus subscription. It is not a one time purchase every month, like the Battle Pass. So purchasing Premium, or obtaining it through free means, doesn't entitle you to any past bonuses- just extra bonuses for its duration.

The difference between getting previous stars and getting previous gold tier rewards is in the way you get them. To buy the battle pass you have to pay its full price in the Shop. There are no discounts, no ways around it. But to get Premium, you only have to pay $1 for 1 day, or even get it for free from containers. It's a massive difference.

 

The only way this difference can be accounted for is if you buy 1 day of premium, but it instantly gets cancelled and converted into missing stars that you earned from one day in that month. This already gets confusing to a point where I don't know how to explain it, which is why instead of getting lost stars by buying Premium, you have the option to buy extra stars directly via the 100-star bundle in the Shop.

You don't "convert" to Premium. It's not like you purchase Premium and your account becomes a VIP tank or something for a month or year. Had it been the case, upgrading to VIP/Premium/Momma'sCreditCardBoi would double the Stars you already earned in that month.

 

But no, Premium is just a service offered for a limited period. The difference between 3 hours, 1 day or 1 month of Premium is that you get extra rewards for that period only.

If you get a day of Premium near the end of the Challenge, you only deserve 1 day of 2×Stars, not the whole month.

And if buying Premium would give you the extra stars you missed, then the price of premium would increase by an order of magnitude (at least 5x). There's no way devs will just give players ability to earn stars so much easier without increasing prices. It would be terrible for the economy and is the reason why we don't accept ideas for adding/increasing rewards.

When someone said Premium doesn't unlock the Gold Tier, you just went ahead saying it should. Just stop for once and see the explanations Maf and others have offered and then continue posting. The I&S section isn't about divulging from one suggestion to the next, but focusing on a single idea in each topic.

Yes, I agree that buying the battle pass with greet me with the gold tier. The only this is that I am not a buyer. I don't spend real money for a game that really does not belong to me because it is online and I cannot buy Tanki Online.

So as you complete rewards (without Battle-Pass) you get the rewards from Silver Stage immediately as each is completed right?

Rewards in Silver Tiers can be obtained for free (at the cost of life) and remain with you whatsoever.

Buying the Battle Pass unlocks the additional rewards in the Gold Tiers.

I think that it would be suitable to have a bronze tier. Such a tier would consists of rewards much smaller than the silver tier and would take around 750 stars to reach the last stage. The beneficial of that would be to give chances for players to complete challenges sooner when they don't have the time to complete challenges because of school, college or work.

What would the Bronze tier have? I'm guessing the usual crystals and supplies, but in slightly smaller amounts. (Silver tier rewards are already pretty small, but oh well.

Yes, the bronze tier would have crystals and supplies. For the last bronze tier, there will be a supplies pack handed out to those players who reach this last tier. No paints would be given out in the bronze tier.
