Coinboxes this weekend!

Tankers!

This weekend, from October 11 to October 14 (server restart time), a special container will be available in the Shop for a limited time — Coinboxes.

Coinboxes are similar to Tankoin-Containers — you buy them with Tankoins, and you can win a variety of cool prizes, INCLUDING Tankoins.

However, there are two main differences:

  • Coinboxes will cost 30 Tankoins
  • Coinboxes will include a wider variety or drops, including bigger, juicier loot
IMPORTANT: You should not confuse Tankoin-Containers with Coinboxes. Despite their similarities, they have different contents. If you have any leftover Tankoin-Containers from our last event, their loot drops will remain as they were originally.

Here’s the list of possible drops in Coinboxes:

  • Tankoins - 100 000
  • Tankoins - 3 000
  • Tankoins - 2 000
  • Tankoins - 1 000
  • Tankoins - 500
  • Tankoins - 300
  • Tankoins - 200
  • Tankoins - 100
  • Tankoins - 50
  • Tankoins - 40
  • Tankoins - 30
  • Tankoins - 10
  • Tankoins - 1
  • Speed Boost - 30
  • Repair Kits - 30
  • Mines - 30
  • Double Damage - 30
  • Double Armor - 30
  • Crystals - 2 000
  • Crystals - 1 000
  • Batteries - 15
So, check out the new Coinboxes during the October Discount Weekend and get ready for some great loot!

wait a second .. the last time they were only 10 Tank-coins  http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=382529

and some what OK to buy at a cheaper rate.. now there 30 tankcoins and your loosing if you get a lower return back from them.. not worth buying if you keep upping the price and giving less back in returns.. its better just to buy regular containers and take your chances on retrieving a better prize in return..

this is hilarious!!! as if the previous tancoin containers where not a scam. this is disgusting and scummy of the marketing team. its actually unbelievable, never seen such a horrible scheme.

unless the odds of getting higher rewards are increased by at least 5 times, in fact no, forget that. dont be stupid kids, dont waste money on this, ever. not even 1.

Not excited after the disappointment-fest that were Tankoin-Containers, but now there are 10 rewards that provide some return on investment.

I don't understand why they add rewards of tankoins lesser than their price. Do they purposefully want to call people losers?

I mean, even getting 30 Mines or 15 Batteries does not seem like a drastic loss. You can only comvert them to their approximate value in Tankoins, such as one-fifth of a Container reward = 150 coins per Container / 5 = 30 Tankoins [which is just a rubbish calculation considering the effort required to get Tankoins].

But outright showing them the loss of 29 coins is like saying "You Suck".

This is straight-up, full blown gambling.  Real money is converted to into faux-poker chips (Tankoins) and bet to win a higher reward.  Gutsy in this day and age of gambling regulation.

I would guess Tanki could get around any legal backlash by upping the value of the "loot" content to be equal to the purchase price and still have the higher rewards.  But the possibility of value loss seems to move this onto dicey (yeah, punny, I know) ground.  They would probably sell a boatload more too, if they did away with the possibility of value loss.

I’m disappointed. I opened a lot of weekly containers for the tankoins when I could have saved them for a higher rank (didn’t need the crystals and supplies from them) because I thought it was my only chance to get a meaningful amount of tankoins

But that was merely a beta test for this

Because if rewards were 30 Toins or more players would continue buying Coinboxes with the 30 Toins they get until they get more and more... until Tanki shutdowns the servers for good.

The house has to win.

My criticism is that it’s gambling and that they should at least tell players the reward probabilities.

I was talking about the low Tankoin rewards, they can be replaced by equally low rewards but in the form of crystals, supplies or batteries.

They’re drooling over the thought of money, every new week there’s 5-6 shop offers, no new garage offers in over 2 years. Don’t waste your money, they’re trying to dig up as much money as they can before they permanently shut down the game

That 1 Toin reward looks really bad.

basically anything under 30 coins to be spent on it . your loosing  and tanki is winning.

if they want players to invest more money into this game , then come up with a better way to interest us into spending , on something worth wail to gain in the end. spending to loose just leaves players not wanting to invest in the future of this game. and they kind of did this in tanki X and now what ended up happening is now its closing.

Is it "ful-blown gambling"  if you use tankoins you received from weekly missions?

haha yeah. Despite what they say, they are still eating up our money because you can buy Tankoins with real money so there are still buyers.

True, very true...good point.  Even though I would bet (wow, gambling everywhere) most participants will buy tankoins in the hopes of winning more tankoins.  You are right though, it would be possible to  buy cointainers with Tankoins earned within the game...That is probably the loophole they will trundle out if any law types challenge Tanki for online gambling.
