Just getting back into the game

I got back into tanki 7 years later on a new account (I lost my old one and can't get it back) , and I just can't compete when I used to be a really competitive player. I'm fighting players that are always spawning with double damage, speed boost, double armor, and I just can't do anything. I can't collect powerups because I get killed when spawning, I get one shot constantly, and the game just sucks for me. I can only get about 100 crystals a game and I otherwise can't get anywhere.

Play MM only to complete missions, if you want to play more after that then go to pro battles.

7 years? That's probably a record comeback thus far. Welcome back!

 

It will be quite difficult to work your way through the ranks these days, but there are strategies you can use to make this process more efficient. Check out the advice topic for more info and you can ask people for tips there.

 

Check out this topic for a list of major updates since 2016, and the wiki for further info. It's impossible to summarise all the changes since 2012, so you'll basically have to learn the game from scratch  ;)
