My mid-rank alt went the path of buying as many m2 modules as possible, so by the time it reaches Marshal it won't have to pay upfront for m3 modules. It can just keep upgrading the m2 modules and get m3 "for free" sometime after Marshal.

I hope this MU change does not make any of my current m2 modules un-upgradeable...

That's the problem. Those who have already upgraded their equipment all the way may get a modification 1 or 2 levels above than what their rank will unlock after the update.

While those who haven't would not be able to upgrade fully unless they rank up.

The only positive side I see is that usually Tankers who fully MU their tanks are buyers, so that might bring balance in the lower and middle ranks.

i got that promo code last September too!!!   but like most others who own the old prime skins.. my only question is if they will be automatically converted into new versions or will it be that tanki will release these new prime skins as version 2 prime skins...and we will have to keep using the older ones we have....

Now I cant speak on the behalf of the developers, but I can almost certainly guarentee you they will replace the old ones entirely

Theyre making the game look as nice as they can without changing the graphics, so it would not make sense to have two of the same skin, just one is in HD and the other is just a texture change

I think they will also do this to every skin in the game, starting with prime and xt, and then maybe theyll do the normal skins... again not guarenteed but it would be a good esitmate

It seems like you dont want the new remakes of the skin... why?

Odd complaints about modification levels. I'm not sure how anyone figures this hurts them. It won't detract from anything. It simply evens out and tightens up the midranks so one doesn't start playing M2.10 BGenerals when just beginning the LT ranks. (My 2LT has already faced three-star generals with M3 equipment.)

I heard complaints about midranks for years, and I've complained about them plenty myself. It is too little, too late, but it is a good idea. Why was it not implemented three years ago? You might have saved Tanki if you had made it so people didn't get so discouraged slogging between M1 and Marshal. If changing to 7 modification levels will stop early M1s from facing late M2s (and occasional M3s), then it will be a good thing. It will be good to see one's progress a little more tangibly regardless.

Seems they are (finally) trying to address the mid rank imbalance! The new system seems to be a good change on paper, but I'll wait until they push it to live.

Will it be like this Wasp?

M1 = 1000; M2 = 1143; M3 = 1285; M4 = 1428; M5 = 1572; M6 = 1714; M7 = 1856; M7+ = 2000?

(that's aprox.143HP per Modification)

Apparently not. According to Hazel it will be like this:

M1 = 1000; M2 = ####; M3 = ####; M4 = ####; M5 = ####; M6 = ####; M7 = 1765; M7+ = 2000

(with a 235HP between M7 and M7+)

Which wouldn't solve one of the big complaints of M2s and M3s fighting M3+s, which would become "M6s and M7s fighting OP M7+".

I think 5 Modifications would be better, without fluctuations:

M1 = 1000; M2 = 1200; M3 = 1400; M4 = 1600; M5 = 1800; M5+ = 2000.

And I agree M0 should be history. Modification looks could be removed, or just add one more with my idea of 5 Modifications. The conversion could be based on the crystal value of our current Modifocations.

Let's hope the transition phase doesn't bring too much imbalance for too long.

I don't see balance becoming worse. It will be the same at worst case scenarios and better at others. Then with time the gap created by players fully MUing their equipment and the rest will be shortened, except for the last Modification and when some get stuck at M5 until they buy M7.

It's good for the Modifications gaps, but my worry is that too many Modifications will be confusing and frustrating to manage. They should be careful with regard to Kits, MUs, gap between M7 and M7+, and Modification locking you from MUing because you're 2 ranks behind.

Maybe if they make it very simple to understand and follow it could be good. For example: they could unlock Modification levels at same ranks for all equipment. And if they could also reorder the ranks, breaking up the Legend rank into more ranks, or readjusting all ranks, it could be good, in my opinion.

But there could be another problem for Tanki, players could stop MUing and just buy new Modifications during discounts... I know, it sounds like a plan.

Whoosh. I wish an official statement would be released but I'll say my thoughts.

Right now (not to flex :D) I have Shaft, Rico, Titan, and Hunter M2 10/10. In the next system will my equipment be automatically upgraded to the equivalent of M3? If so (and if MUs still exist  :o) then in theory I would have a super OP tank if I did upgrade it, because I could have the equivalent of M4 (or, since there's another one, the equivalent of M3.10).

Is the number of product kit will increase to cover the newly created levels? Or they will be converted in lower/ higher level of equipments?

New turrets design for the new level?

Probably no. It will be Mk6 (5/5) instead of Mk7. Sorry

And I listened to the VLOG again, it's only the Turrets that get these 7 modification levels

Will different modifications feature different visual designs? Same as the visual differences between M1/M2/M3?

In other words, will we be able to differentiate between different modifications in battle based on their appearances?

Very interesting. About the modifications update, this seems to be a really good decision. This could possibly solve the problem of rankink up too fast while not acquiring enough competent equipment. And, as mentoined in the V-LOG, the choices like "Firebird M1 or Freeze M2". None of our equipment will become wekaer, which is good to know :) But, well, it seems that we will have to wait until the official announcement to get a good look at the update.

The Viking Thunder Prime skins look really fantastic. I absolutely love the recoil animations, dust etc. Hopefully it won't cost much Tankoins, taking into consideration that it'll be offered on Black Friday :3

About the new... thing. I'm still trying to figure out what it is, most likely a drone, but a very different form the current ones. We can see a jet exhaust thingy on the back, and some sort of eye on the front. I believe that it's most likely going to be offensive. Who knows, maybe is a "something" that charges at the enemy to attack it. Bcuase what else could be the use of a jet exhaust other than chraging and achieveing high speeds?

Overall, thank you very much for this V-LOG, we all appreciate it! :)

Most likely. Altough they quite possibly won't be very visually different, we'll still be able to see the modification level by pressing "V" or "Z" ;)

Interesting updates. I really do hope that the new modification update makes the game better and not worse. I think the new object will be a drone that has something to do with your view or aiming.

I forgot to mention above what does MK stands for on turret modifications.

MK1

MK2

MK3

MK4 etc.

Will my M4 turrets become stronger by upgrading them further?

Mk is a common abbreviation of Mark used to signify different revisions/versions of the same thing.

I am not sure if low rank equipment would be affected too much. Let's wait and see.

MK would be complicated for players to get used to and know what it means.

I think that it would be better if players could upgrade to M5. I suggested that a very long time ago with Smoky M5 post.

OK

It might be ModifiKation

Now you're talking like a true Russian!

Um... how is it complicated? M = MK, no questions needed.

M is simple, easy to use and we're used to.

M is also an abbreviation of Mark, if you want to name the modifications as Marks, and good luck with many players not understanding that.

Let it just be M of Modifications.

Mk is to make a clear distinction between the old system M and the new system Mk.

Calling everything M, that would be 200% confusing.

M could stand for modification.

It does, but it could stand for Mastery too.

This is not important, what is is how the turret micro-upgrade and modification will be managed. So make sure you understand to which system the Mk and M refer too. Rewatch the vlog.

M1, M2, M6, M7... not confusing at all.
