Remove drugs

These make the game unplayable and take away any aspect of skill needed to play the game. I know this will probably never happen, and my topic will be closed down immediately, but it really does ruin the game. I suggest that drugs should be refunded with crystals if they are ever removed. I think drugs make the game entirely pay to win, and most people don't want that at all. This game would be really fun if drugs were removed, and it would actually take skill to succeed again.

I think drugs should be removed from the game because it makes the game unplayable. Drugs makes Tanki a pay to win game, and takes away any aspect of skill needed to succeed. The game would be a lot more fun without drugs and finally playable again, and you would actually need to be skilled at the game to succeed. If this idea goes through, then players should be refunded in crystals based on the value of drugs they had. I know this idea will most likely never happen, and my post will be shut down immediately, but you should think about it, and realize how unplayable the game has become.

Supplies cannot be removed due to being embedded into the gameplay model from the very beginning. The project partially relies on them to generate revenue and they are a necessary part of the game's economy.

 

At higher ranks, however, the amount of supplies you get from missions and containers is so great that it's pretty hard to run out of them. I personally had to top-up my supply reserves (mainly repairs, speed and damage) every time there was a 50% sale on them, but ever since challenges were added they've been accumulating faster than I can use them, so I have over 10 thousand of each now. Only batteries are still a problem.

 

So just keep moving through the ranks, and if you find that you're running low on supplies, buy them during 50% sales and don't play much beyond completing daily missions.

Wut? Drugs are free. At top ranks where people drug the most, you get at least 360 of DD, DA, and SB and 120 repairs for free from weekly containers, not including 3 containers and quest rewards....thats each week. I drug like heck and my repair numbers are going up. Supplies separate the best players from the others. I've seen some ppl who clearly have a lot of experience, and they absolutely dominate bc of their supply usage. Myself on the other hand, mess up and get caught out in the open. They add another angle of skill to the game

If you're looking for matches based on skill, just hang out in the xpbp format or pro battles with supplies turned off

Supplies are a fun feature, especially with smart cooldowns. They would be epic if they were 100% free to use, like Overdrive. Unfortunately that's not the case, but on higher ranks we may as well assume that they're free.

 

At Legend everyone uses supplies anyway, with the only exception being weirdos like a certain friend of mine who has 30 million crystals and 100+ weekly containers stocked up, but complains about running out of DDs  -_-

No need to shame the original poster and label him a “casual player” for playing “only” 50 hours for the past three years. Many players actually have lives (believe it or not) and have real-life stuff to attend to, such as studies, work, responsibilities etc. Remember for such “casual” players obtaining supplies isn’t as easy as it is for people who play the game way more, like many of you above. So him playing less doesn’t discount his point.

ranking up takes a long time especially as you progress and some people here say drugs are free but youre saying the tanki economy relies on them too much so thats definitely an inconsistency

too many people rely heavily on them to dominate and these people would have their you know whats handed to them if they were taken away

But being serious, I still really like this game but I think it's biggest problem is having to force everyone to play one version of the game, especially with much reduced numbers of players.

 

I like MM in principle (I'd abuse being able to choose maps for missions if I could, and I'm glad I can't); I like Overdrives; I don't like (garage) Supplies, and I am not interested in Drones. Some players might have the same thoughts about those four things, but most will have different thoughts I suspect. Yet we all have to play with all four of them in MM, whether we like them or not.

 

Not interested in PRO battles at the moment because I prefer the convenience and map variety that MM provides. What I'd really like is an MM with no Supplies running alongside the existing one to see which one most players prefer, but that's as likely to happen as removing Supplies altogether.

Clearly some people need to be taught how to manage supplies. If you're constantly running out of supplies, it's simply supplies mismanagement. Use your supplies only when necessary. (For eg: when you're chasing an enemy carrying your team flag, speed boost or DD will be handy)

 

Also, a little gameplay each day (like completing missions) should do. Don't try to spend hours in MM trying to complete challenges quickly like your favourite youtuber does, because he can buy supplies but you can't. 55-60 stars per day should help you to complete the challenge in a month. The supplies from the challenges are generous enough to keep your reserves up and not to mention those that come from containers and weekly containers as well.

 

That's my advice for you. Use supplies wisely and have fun!!

It IS fair right now. Everyone can use them and everyone gets lots of them for free.

 

Remember if they take them away from the "druggers", you lose them too, so those who normally dominate would dominate still. The fact that they use supplies better than everyone else shows they are way better players than ppl like myself, for example.

not everyone has thousands of drugs and i wouldnt mind at all if i lost mine when everyone else does to

I would mind tho. True not everyone has thousands...but everyone gets lots of free supplies every week.

If we took away supplies, the game would be incredibly slow... driving would feel like an agonizing crawl from one place to another...For me at least, I cannot live without speed boost.

Let's be honest here and now. This game tank do not need the drug system to be fun and enjoyable.

 

Drugs are actually distracting you from the battle mode objectives and player are fighting for them on the ground, plus they are not used properly.
Drugs are useless, as in the current game-play we are now 75% of the time on drugs, you can be sure that if you have double damage on, your opponent will have double armour on, and vice versa. What is the point? Before they had a meaning because they were rare and you had to be smart with them, think on when to use them and when not. 

It will be easier for mobile players. Devs had to invent complicated ways to make it possible on mobile and it is not great. Plus on mobile , the automated pre-locking drug option makes it unfair towards pc players.

 

Can they be removed? yes.

Tanki can easily remove them with little impact on the game, it is possible in special format.

Game will be slower without speed-boost? yes, but we are 100% on SB, so why not adapt the current equipment to match the speed?
Same can be applied with damage and armour.

Drug daily mission can be removed, there is enough new mission to compensate.

They are given for free, so we currently don't pay for them, consequently removing them will change absolutely nothing regarding the crystals game economy.

In challenges and container, they can be replaced by crystals, paint shot effect, old skins, containers, coins, GB, ... and other cosmetic stuffs (not existing yet, but you can find idea form other game rights). 

Yes, this mean probably more crystals via challenges but it is actually good, because there is now enough equipment to spend crystals on: 13 turrets, 16 drones, 7 hulls (soon 8), 15 protections modules (soon 16). Now you have to play for ages with the same combo, with no opportunity to be to change. There is variety with no possibility to actually enjoy it. 

 

Keep the mines and make more interesting one to spend crystals on. The spider mine is awesome, we should have it in tanki.

 

Say yes to more strategy/skill and no to brute force.
