Migration to new HTML5 version

I went to the HTML version and now I can't get back to the Flash version.  How do I get back to Flash and away from this html5 as default?

The camera seems a bit better for me now.

The camera seemed better to me too than when I played with Opera before. But I didn’t play much because in big battles the FPS went down with Firefox. PRO battles are difficult to find battles you want to play because you don’t know what maps the battles have until you click on them.

it took me 20 minutes just to log in with one account.

 

the garage and items look like tank X .

 

not a fan of the red around the tanks or the glowing box's . its a little confusing to see  in battles . no need for them. and instructions on how or where to set up battles would be helpful before this was rolled out.

Thanks.  Haven't even played an html game and found bug.  You can't access all the control settings either in full screen or normal...+ or - does not affect the screen.

I'm having a problem playing this with Firefox.  When I enter a game, everything looks fine for a few seconds and then the display goes black.  Once it goes black, exiting the game and re-entering does not fix the problem, screen remains black.  If I clear my cache, then I'm back to where it works for a few seconds and then goes black again.  Clock does not work, but I see updates as people take flags, etc.  I can give you a screen shot, but I don't know how to do that on this forum (sorry).

It's impossible to read players names above their tanks.  In fact it is very difficult to tell who is on the opposition since the reds and blues are so washed out an now pastel colors.

 

Why is everything soooooo small?

 

 

So far HTML5 is proving to be a real step backwards

At last, now with the new HTML5 version, I can disable gold boxes so I cannot accidentally drop gold boxes to the wrong players.

I can't find a way to actually disable it.  I have assigned it ctrl/- so I would have to use two keys to drop a gold and I doubt I would ever accidentally hit control and - at the same time, but I can't find out how to disable it completely.  How did you do it?

Why do you need to see their nicknames for during battle? What do you plan on doing to the players that killed you? You planning to insult them? If so then maybe it's best that they're small.

 

Besides it's not hard to see who's on who's team. Just look at your health bar then look at the player in front of you, if their health bar is the same color as yours, then it's a teammate, if not, it's an enemy.

I like nicknames...I like to see who I'm fighting otherwise it is just like bots.  Clever nicknames are fun...it was an integral part of the  game, why change it?.  If nicknames weren't worth something why not just assign arbitrary names/numbers...why identify a player at all?  This was a game of player vs player and players have identities.  It is also more fun and interesting to see when and if you play against the same players in other matches.  It is also handy for building friends or seeing who is a good player or a lame player.  I imagine clans need names rather badly to recruit players.  It also comes into play when reporting a hacker...if you can't identify them, it's hard to vote them.  Do you think HTML is going to rid Tanki of hackers?  Basically there are a multitude of reasons to have nicknames and be able to see them.

 

And, it is still possible to identify an opponent but it isn't as easy.  Why make it harder?  Why degrade the game when it would probably be a pretty easy fix?

To disable the gold box drops, go to Settings, then Control, and then scroll down to where you see the supplies category. The gold box supply is assigned with the 6 key. Press delete to delete the 6 key and or any other values that you see on the gold box drop section.

Right...delete is a bad key for golds.  The best I've found is assign the gold drop ctrl/+  That way you have to hit two keys at once to drop a gold...control and + on the number pad

As far as I can tell, it is impossible to leave it blank...you must assign some key/keys.  I might be wrong, but I sure can't find any way to leave it blank.

 

Ohhh....I just found it...easy.  If you wish to make any setting blank (like gold drops), click the box and hit "backspace".     Backspace to disable gold drops.

 

There is also no way to access other players profile pages through HTML5 ...unless I just can't find it :)  In fact you can't even copy a name and then paste it manually onto the ratings/profile page.  This makes other players profile almost inaccessibles...very difficult to access at best

No it doesn't...if you press "delete" it assigns "delete" to drop gold boxes.  In other words if you use the delete key in the gold box drop segment of the settings/controls you will drop a gold box (if you have them) when you hit the delete key.

 

If you want the gold drop function completely blank and disabled, use the "backspace" key in the gold box drop segment.

Really? That is just dumb. It's a cool feature. I like to check my missions while I am in a battle. So when a mission is completed, I can leave that one sided battle and don't waste 3 or 4 minutes in this useless battle.

It looks awesome and they have improved the design, you are just never happy.

Yh, what? Not being able to chat while in garage, everything a few more clicks away than before, setting rank limits and overall creating PRO battles is more troublesome.

 

People used to be happy back when the game didn't go through a ton of updates nobody asked for.

Agreed. Now people just leave the game. Look the peak now, it's barely 17K online... When it used to be 50 or 60k a year ago.
