Migration to new HTML5 version

So you can focus on the game objectives.

One of my main objectives in the game is completing daily missions.  No access to daily missions from within the battle makes focusing on the game more difficult.

I don't like that there is no way to access your daily missions or your progress on your daily missions while in a battle.

Really? That is just dumb. It's a cool feature. I like to check my missions while I am in a battle. So when a mission is completed, I can leave that one sided battle and don't waste 3 or 4 minutes in this useless battle.

I assume you just quoted the wrong post...I think you meant Viking4s and his typical whatever Tanki did is great type of post.

I like being able to check missions in battle and think that Tanki should generate some way to access missions from within a battle in the HTML5...otherwise it is just another backstep and more fodder for a "less than" game.

Why do you need to see their nicknames for during battle? What do you plan on doing to the players that killed you? You planning to insult them? If so then maybe it's best that they're small.

What?

1. Yes, it gives you an impression that you are playing with bots.

2. HOW are you supposed to play with friends or coordinate with teammates? You could plan to attack with someone, but you wouldn't even know which tank he is controlling.

It's obvious you weren't considering this while writing, so please give each comment of your a look before you actually post it.

Besides it's not hard to see who's on who's team. Just look at your health bar then look at the player in front of you, if their health bar is the same color as yours, then it's a teammate, if not, it's an enemy.

They didn't delete nicknames. They are simply harder to read. If paints stop working, though not deleted (due to some kind of issue), will you start talking such nonsense as you are now? That they were never actually needed?

Nicknames are still a valid feature. They just aren't working properly. In such case it should be fixed. If the developers wanted to delete them, they would be deleted. But of course that little Semyon Striz hak fanboy is gonna criticise anyone who reports an issue

Agreed. Now people just leave the game. Look the peak now, it's barely 17K online... When it used to be 50 or 60k a year ago.

https://tankionline.com/graphic.swf

Not true , it was 30k a y ago , 60k was 2 y ago .The graph also says a lot more , since then the graph had a very steep rise nearly flattening out during most of the day and then a very steep fall in the last 1to2h before reset . But you are right about the rest . They fail to see it , and/or dont care . Told this long time ago , with their idiotic MM system .

Going over to new HTML5 , well i understand , newer software comes along , But never throw away the child together with the bathwater as they speak ... meaning , some good things should be left alone if possible . The client works fine , the HTML5 got issues . Yeahyeah ... clear cache ... blahblahblah , i do not want to clear my cache . clear your own cache . Client doesnt have these issues , never clean cache , never do anything , just open and play . Most things on , beside some of the goodies and still maintain around 40+ fps .  This HTML , most things off , looking a lot more basic , and having 20 to 30 fps , just below the line of good playable . Thats not ok for me ...

Client must stay ... its software package on its own and works flawless ( ok , i do have restarts needed , but this i find less issue then the 2 mins i played in browser .

Yh, what? Not being able to chat while in garage, everything a few more clicks away than before, setting rank limits and overall creating PRO battles is more troublesome.

Pro battle lobby needs some improvement for sure, but the sorting table menu is great.

The "R" and "V" function do not work with HTML5...not that they are very useful anymore since we got stuck with Gear Score instead of an actually functional MU level.  It is nice to see what modules an opponent has once in awhile though.

A very low priority fix.

Overall, my impression for the first day playing on HTML5 is that, besides just being different and therefore a bit more cumbersome, it is more fiddly and not laid out as efficiently as the flash version...more clicking to navigate to what you wish to see.  The movement is acceptable but not as accurate and pleasing as the flash.  Everything is in tiny tiny print and difficult to see...in fact many things within a battle are difficult to see because of pastel colors, or just small print.

I am also having discrepancy with Firebird's damage.  It doesn't seem to do as much damage as with flash.  I also get different damage with different opponents of the same rank/supplies.  One tank is super easy and I see very high (three digit) damage numbers.  Another tank and I get single digit damage numbers.  In flash I had a good idea of timing for a kill with Firebird.  In HTML it is way off and not nearly as effective.  Some tanks I can dump an entire full canister with a DD and it still won't kill the opponent.  Other times without a DD I just burn right through an opponent.  Very inconsistant and I'm kind of thinking it may have something to do with fps..dunno.  I do know that Firebird is not as effective in HTML5.

I think we all tend to resist new stuff, but I really like the flash version much better at this point in HTML5's development.

I can't find a way to actually disable it.

To disable I select Delete, but then I select Delete for Self-Destruct, so that way it goes from Delete to blank.

I haven't tried Backspace, you can try that first and go to a private battle and see if it works.

It does work, the boxes go blank:

In Flash, Delete also blanks the space, but now with HTML5 it doesn't, now it says DEL. That's very good.

But it could be better if there was a Clear (X) button next to the spaces, I think.

"backspace key" does the "clear" function.  It doesn't say that anywhere though...maybe they could pop that into the Wiki.

greeting
I welcome the progress and desire for improvement
but
too much gray in the menu
the game was not playful at first the turret do not follow the mouse
too many effects and flashes on the map
targeting is difficult... too many misses when I'm sure of a hit
returning to the game and reacting to commands takes too long ... you are often dead before you move

if you drop out of the full screen, the returning process requires too much clicking and you're dead... MISSING ICON in game mode

it is impossible to see the status of daily missions during the game...MISSING ICON in game mode (return the star)

the end of the game is for idiots ...just everything stops... give some pop up window ... WIN .. lost ... whatever

cannot copy participant name during game

good thing is faster game starts..the waiting time for entry is shorter

The new version is not good at all ... we want the old version

The new version isn't bad. Are you aware of how may bugs are gone in the new version? The infinite lodaing bug is gone. The critical error is gone.

And it isn't just about the fixed bugs, which you have begged Tanki to fix. You can now also browse your paints easier. You no longer have to scroll trough 200 paints to find the paint you want. You can even mark your favourites.

You can now immediatelly see all the stats of the selected hull, turret, drone, etc. And you can see your equiped turret and hull right away from the starting screen.

Note that the HTML5 version will become even faster that it is now.

One last thing: don't say "we want the old version" because there are many, MANY players who like the new version. If you dislike the new version, that's YOUR opinion, not OUR opinion.

sir I have tried both roots . also contacting tanki on line ( no response ) . this happened in Sept when my computer died and I ended up having to reload all new passwords to the three main accounts.. it took about 2 weeks to finally load them .

I will try something new this weekend and see if it will load. till then its only Bydo in battles ( ..

Interesting how none of your points have anything to do with actual game-play.

In Battle - it's terrible.  Shaky cam and camera angle is not good at all.

Personally I kinda like the new HTML5 version, but of course it takes time to get used to the new version. There are just some issues I came across during the first day with the new version:

- In shop, garage paints and settings I can't scroll down to the bottom. For example I miss Tunisia and Uruguay in the list of green paints and Sweden and Switserland are half visible. This is also visible by other paints and the shop. There's no difference with fullscreen or no fullscreen.

- I miss the button to see your progress of daily and weekly missions during the game.

- The end of the game is a bit weird, because you stops directly. Also the end screen with the amount of points is a bit confusing.

Hopefully with some updates in the coming period the game will become really better than the old version.

Well, I play TO with mouse controls, and I personally don't have any problems with the camera, so I'm deeply sorry if my own opinion hurt you in any way.

How come this doesn't affect gameplay?
