where is the protecting modules information icon during battles?? i dont want tht info in scoreboard, i need it how it is in flash version

You're right about everything but I will answer to this.

In the Client, it's easy to see the modules information. It's also easy to open the garage.

In HTML5, you can't see modules information during the battle. And opening garage is a mess.

It looks like they decided to remove all the cool features and make them bad instead.

Seriously, they are making all the wrong decisions, it's insane.

a7x_Pedro48: You press Tab to see everyone's modules at the same time.

vaitaprocaralho: I think HTML5's way to see modules is preferable to the Flash version. You can see everyone's at the same time. There are somethings that need to be fixed in HTML5.

well, i think is more efective and intuitive to press R and see in a second what u facing . Makes battles more faster and fluid then pause a game, search a name , confirme if is tht player, and maybe waste another minute to go see if this the player the one  causing or stoping you to score more.

So, for me is a step down , cause my small brain is not able to remember all names of the enemy team and know their protecion modules, then still need to try change to a more efective set of equiment in 7 minutes, when i used to be able to figure it out just whit a image or pressing R in 1 second.

And pressing G only increase frustation cause nothing happen, then u have 2 icons in top right of monitor that u dont know what they represent or what they do, you think pressing it will open garage, but no.

Then a FPS game whit aim mecanic thats not fluid at all, jumps from one place to another whitout any smooth movement, like, im shooting a tank ,he moves a bit to the side , i try follow his move, when the frame refresh the turrent aim is already in the other side of tank passing all the volume of enemy tank.

i really cant play in the hlm5 , frustates me alot, only good thing there is graphics quality and the idea of fresh new image of game.

Maybe is just me, but dont see any other enjoyment of it at this moment.

You don't see the alteration thought with [Tab]. But tab is better as not only you see overall who has the protection against your turret, but also what are the protections that are not used. This is good for example if you want to swap from Railgun to another one, and when you selected Thunder, you see that it is even worse (there is more palyer with that protection), and you had to wait 3 minutes to be able to change the turret again.

With tab you don't have to chase after every tanks to see what they are wearing.

[G] does not work, I assigned a second/alternate key in the settings and it did not work too.

Going in garage during fly over end up with another death, why being so cruel?

Camera angles and motion is terrible.

Going in the garage we have to select which equipment type (turret, protection module, ...) we want to change, can we have the garage remember which on we visited last time. that will save us precious time.

The timer for equipment change is hidden, can we have a visible timer please.

In my opinion one of the most annoying things in the HTML 5 version is the font size of players nicknames in battle. It's so small I can barely read them.

september_HTML5_update_wide_1006x300.jpg

Tankers!

From tomorrow (Friday, November 15th), all players who are currently using the old HTML5 version of the game (with the exception of players on some partner sites) will be automatically redirected to the new HTML5 version. The old version will be removed and will no longer be accessible.

Here’s the really important part.

With tomorrow’s release, we are adding support for texture atlases to the new HTML5 version, which will enable the game to run smoothly even on outdated computers!

The old HTML5 version served as a “lifeboat” in the months after Flash was discontinued, keeping the game afloat and allowing you to play. Now it has served its purpose, and the new version is stable enough to allow everyone to play comfortably.

But this is just one stop on our journey. Our final plan is to switch completely to the new HTML5 version and phase out all other versions of the game. There’s still quite a bit of work to be done, but we’ll get there.

Thank you for your continued support, Tankers! Log into the game tomorrow and tell us what you think.

And make sure you check out the full release notes here.

this just sucks man. the old html5 was much better. i seem to lagg a lot now and my fps has drastically dropped. ama leave for good.

I think you can change yourself as it seem to use the standard font from Chrome. On Chrome settings (Settings > Appearance > Customise fonts >  Standard font) if you change the default type and size (try Trebuchet MS) it might make it better. I'll try later.

Either the devs did not assigned a font and size either they assigned one not available on Chrome.

Hope the devs actually read these posts because a lot still needs to change. Otherwise tanki is going to die real soon I think

Knowing the past of the game and the things they have done , i highly doubt it . Remember MM ...

I believe that developers haven't tested that on different screen sizes. The "Responsive" part of the design is very limited (e.g on many screen sizes and different browsers you won't see lower part of the screen). I am saying this because I was also a fond of building web pages in the past. I am pretty sure that  they defined the font sizes in "pixels" which is fixed and not relative to the screen size.

I have seen 2 different screens size, and the same "time new roman" font was used and both difficult to read. Some font for the same "size" have different height.

See below: time new roman is smaller, more complex and thinner

Nickname tohama

Nickname time new roman

Nickname Arial

Font-Family is an other issue, some fonts are indeed difficult to read than others. However, I was referring to the font-size. There are 2 ways to make font-size relative to the screen sizes. One is that you hard-code the different font size values (in "pixels") for the various screen sizes. Second option is to use the relative measurement unit like "em" instead of "pixels" so they can be viable for different screen sizes. Developers should take that into account.

They messed up with the new HTML5 version.

So I think instead of fixing it, they should make a new New HTML5 versión.

Lol, by "fixed" I was referring to the unit 'pixels' which defines the fixed size so it will appear the same regardless of the screen size, which is inconvenient for different screen sizes. I'ts not like "fixing the problem" context.

As far as I know the new HTML5 version uses em's (so they change relative to screen size) instead of pixels in their code. Which browser + version are you using?

The issue is not with the web-page but with the in-game names. The new version doesn't work for me (I've tried in very low FPS on both Chrome and Firefox). I've never worked with the WebGl, as far as I know it also uses HTML Canvas for the text. Also there is another problem specifically with Firefox where the bottom of the page is hidden, I guess it has something to do with the Box-Sizing, you have to define the box-sizing for different browsers.

I'd recommend following these instructions: https://help.tankionline.com/knowledge-bases/7/articles/60073-how-to-raise-fps-on-the-new-html5-version

as far as I know it also uses HTML Canvas for the text.

Most of the texts are in the actual HTML instead of on a canvas, WebGL is mostly used just for the battle interface

Yup I also have the same issue on my old version of Chrome (ver. 64), try posting it here: HTML5 Bug Reports

Yes, but it's stupid. I press Tab, then I need to remember who is using a protection against my turret.

Really? HTML5 shows the 3 modules? Hahaha, it is so stupid. With OD and HTML5, now we know modules, HP of enemy tanks and where they are on the map...

Reported, you can click "Advanced" and then "Proceed to tankionline.com" to bypass the error

HMMMM. NO! This is not an error but it is a warning that the Website security has expired and it is no longer valid.  AND yes your browser will NOT load the pages correctly because it thinks the page is insecure and it poses a threat because  it can be hijacked.  Tanki will have to fix the expired SSL certificate. It is amazing that they let their SSL certificate expire in the first place! Perhaps the certificate authority did not accept Tankoins!

Lol. Cut it in small pieces then mix everything in a blended, and glue it back. Tadaa!
