Lower Ranks Need Fixing

 Share

Recommended Posts

I get that TO wants to reward players who spend money on the game by allowing them access to M2 Smoky and Titan by Staff Sergeant... but this seems a little too unfair, does it not? Tanki's playerbase can be fixed if new players who have no idea what they're doing can stand a chance against these no-life buyers. I imagine that TO drives away virtually all new players because they rage after being repeatedly destroyed by alt accounts with early access to M2s.

There should be a "protected" status for all new players who have not spent any money on the game. As long as they don't spend any money, there will be a decreased chance that they play against M2 no-lifer buyers.

Agree.

It's way too early for lower ranks to gain access to the M2 Freeze+Viking/Hornet? and the M2 Smoky+Titan kits.  Anyway, I do not think they'll do anything about it because they have already decided to milk the dying cow in their way (instead of catching the chance to make Tanki great again). ?

I think the low ranks just needs to be reminded how easy life down there is. They don't have to deal with high protections, OP drones and broken alterations like us high ranks have to.

Well, at high ranks we have the same chance of getting the same OP equipment. Sure, I too complain about how protection modules make the game slow and boring, but I have the same access to these modules as other players (Ok, maybe I'm a little disadvantaged to buyers so that I have 5% less protection than their maxed module, but it's not as drastic as that of an m2 combo with drugs and experience playing an m0 combo who just joined the day before). I can get OP drones just like everyone else. I can get broken alterations as well.

These kinds of buyers are rare in the low ranks. Most buyers down there just buy a $3 kit and maybe a few paints and that's it. And it's not problematic enough that free players can't do well down there.

My experience down there says otherwise. I am guaranteed to have at least 2 players be using that Titan Smoky combo. 1 of these is simply way too much regardless, because they are the ones racking up like 40 kills a game and ruining the gameplay for everyone else. It's pretty hard as a free player to counter this. But, I'm more focused on new players who have no experience whatsoever.

Sure these kinds of players can be hard to kill. But it's not like everyone in those ranks are that way.

My point is that just 1 of these players can ruin the gameplay experience for an entire team. These people just plop themselves right in the middle of the map and gets like 40 kills.

M2 no-lifer buyers.

Is there a reason for this insult?

How do you know someone with an m2 is a buyer?

How do you know someone with an m2 has no life?

I'd just like to have evidence before throwing around insults

Or maybe all ranks just suck, that was the case for me.

But I still love siege so far

But we have to all agree that the high ranks, the battles have gotten a lot less fun than they are in the low ranks.

As far as siege goes, I don't like it at all because 1) in low ranks it's distances and in high ranks teamwork become non-existent and 2) it's not serving any purpose and yet it's thinning out the player base even more.

That's because shop kits give them access to next level equipment when they should still be considered as M0s or M1s.

1) a m2 buyer is identified as someone who has a piece or pieces of equipment that was obtained earlier than the garage kit version or individual version.

2) depends on how much experience and crystals they gained in a week in their profiles.

3) he's probably just mad cause some buyer wrecked him.

I play in the lower ranks all the time since they are more like what Tanki used to be before all the dog and pony show alts/drones etc.

Honestly early access to M1 kits (upgradable to M2) is not the problem for the actual newbies.   The real problem for the actual beginner is that 99.999% of all the players in the low ranks are veteran players that are playing on an alt account for one reason or the other.   A real newbie that is learning to control his tank doesn't stand a chance against a guy like me that has been at this for years.  The kits don't make game-play any where near as toxic as game-play in the higher ranks and the conditions in the lower ranks probably motivate the actual newbies (the ones that don't just go back to Fortnite) to spend money and buy that vicious Keeper or Hammer of Thor.

The very notion of having an M2 at Staff Sergeant makes it an undeniably reasonable inference to assume that he/she has no life and has spent a considerable sum of money into this game. To say otherwise would just be lying to yourself. Before people get all offended and stuff, I am going to make this very clear that I have no life (though I haven't abused lower ranks like this).

Yes, I understand that this is a major problem since a many players at the lower ranks are just veterans starting alts. But these veterans know to buy kits, and they will, reasonably, do everything in their power to make sure that they have significantly better equipment than everyone else, including the strong tactic of getting Keeper and keep boosting it quickly. And to be fair, I don't think getting wrecked by a bunch of M2 users will motivate a newbie to invest resources into this game. I think the newbie will be completely turned off by the game and leave rather than by spending money to one-up the buyers.

How does having an m2 at staff sergeant make that person a no lifer? This assumption makes absolutely 0 sense.

Again this is a problem with experienced players in low ranks. These vet players know how to exploit in their favor, know what works and what doesn't, know how to save up for sales, know what missions and containers are etc.

Sure buyers can buy some advantages, but the most important things they can't buy is skill and knowledge. Those two aspects come with experience.

My opinion is that the game needs an improved tutorial, that finds some way of actually forcing you to turn your turret, so you start off will, rather than having to learn later/just get wrecked by alts who know what they're doing.

Tutorials can only do so much. There should be in-game reminders for the low ranks for those who chooses to activate them so they can get on the spot tips like when to turn the turret, which tanks to avoid, etc etc. Alts are always going to wreck new players and this will never change.

But there's not as many OP alterations down there as there are up here.

Speaking of tutorials, Ive been considering making a video tutorial series. I started one a while ago but it was kinda noob. Any thoughts on important things to cover

Turret turning, drugging, the different game modes, overdrives, the upgrade system

Place this picture at the center of the first video for 10 minutes to make sure every newcomer knows how to control the tank.??
