The Most Absurd Idea - IRL Car Wraps

Devoid

Recommended Posts

Hey all! ?

I am here to propose the most absurd idea I have ever seen/imagined, that is Tanki-related - Car wraps for your personal, real-life car!

I have a car IRL, and I have had a number of wild ideas on how to improve it, mainly through changing the engine, exhaust, or exterior of the car (Wide-body kits, spoilers, etc.), and the idea I would most support is getting my car wrapped.

I absolutely love this game, and I have played it for several years now, and I would honestly enjoy driving a car that has been wrapped in one of the many paints that exist in this game (My favorites would be either the "Afterburner" paint, or the "Chill bro!" paint). I would like to make this topic to propose the idea of Tanki making officially licensed car wraps that can be purchased, and shipped to your location, so that you can admire your favorite paint, both inside of Tanki, and driving down the road! I think this idea may be a bit pricey, but I would be more than willing to pay a very high cost to make my car look like it came straight from the Tanki Online tank factory, if there was a possibility of such.

I hope this idea can be given to the developers of the game, and if you guys moved forward with it, I would love to receive some details regarding pricing, shipping, etc. through my PMs!

Thanks for reviewing this topic (and I am literally dead serious, I would buy a  Tanki-Online-themed car wrap for my real-life car, even if it cost several thousands of dollars to do so)?

Yup, that's an absurd idea alright. Car wraps are a very niche market with an extremely small target audience. Might work for a massive brand that has global presence and tens of millions of fans covering every market type, but a small project like Tanki would never ever be able to profit off of this. Even the standard Tanki merchandise shop had to be shut down a few years ago due to not being worth maintaining.

If Tanki only made content to sell after someone ordered a product, they wouldn't experience any problems...

I don't think it's that simple.

Merchandise actually needs to be made, whether before or after an order. For that they need materials for production and other stuff.

Although it can be that tanki makes a digital appearance for you to get in the form of Car Wraps yourself (which I doubt isn't possible).

Designing a car wrap is easy, especially if you already have a basic design to start from. Tanki already has a large number of paints in the game, so they could just select one, make a few tweaks, and have a perfectly good car wrap. They could also make it where they only start designing a car wrap if someone orders one, that way it doesn't waste their time, effort, or any money.

All I wanna know is what kind of car ya got

I have a bright blue 2007 Nissan 350Z, but I would rather have it look like my favorite paint, Afterburner. ?

Look at this article, it explains the process I am talking about/suggesting.

That doesn't really matter, because the necessary R&D required to develop and distribute a car wrap will never be covered by the sales. In fact, I'd be surprised if they get over a dozen sales total, considering that 70% of the Tanki player base are children, and of the remaining 30% only some have cars, even fewer are willing to decorate them, and even fewer are willing to decorate them with a Tanki-themed wrap.

I bet it isn't too hard to research how to make a custom car wrap, and considering the majority of the design process would be creating the design to be pasted on the car wrap, it wouldn't be that difficult to implement. And, nonetheless, I would pay enough money to cover the R&D, if it allowed me to look like a tanki IRL...

Look, this isn't even worth arguing over, the demand for this thing is still miserably low  ?
