Option to increase duration of spawn protection (parkour format only)

This would be a cool feature for parkour:

 

You can increase to 2 minutes or 2 hours or even more.

 

This would not only let parkourists do so many more things, it might also fix the killing problem in public parkour battles.

The spawn protection mechanism was introduced to protect players from being killed instantly on being spawned aka spawn kill.

indeed, its really annoying when some one just keeps on killing you in a parkour battles when your trying to enjoy and have some fun, but this actually turns into a whole different idea, which is basically having protection in parkour so nobody kills you and is quite different from the purpose of releasing the spawn protection feature.

But think of all the things parkourists could do with this feature. Not to mention it would make mining whole maps pointless. And if players don't want to enable the feature, they can simply turn it off.

What @Thiedes meant was that it would be a nice feature to have, but it's somewhat different from spawn protection and can be seen as a separate feature. I think the option should be for the whole battle.

Imagine you are about to get on top of a tall building and your helpers give you one last push, but you die because the spawn protection expired. ?

Doing parkour with no risk of dying while executing a trick... this remove the flavour of parkour. Why not just give immortality to parkourist player then.

You might remove parkour killing but they can still come in middle of your trick and mess with it. When someone wants to be annoying they will always find a way.

Developers have no intention of making changes/improvements to the parkour format at the moment. Besides, allowing players to disable damage potentially makes most tricks too easy. On the other hand, there are already methods that allow you to take minimal damage in parkour - 50% modules, Defender drone, Titan dome, etc.

Status changed to declined

In addition to what I said above, there is no reason to have this as an option. If were talking about invincibility in parkour, then might as well have an option for "Damage: ON/OFF", rather than the semi-useless spawn protection effect.
