Anti-ghosting keyboard not anti-ghosting, tested with this game

I have no additional rollover to the 3 - 4 keys on a keyboard I was advertised 26-key rollover. Is it a setting that I must enable? I bought this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YJGQVWY?ref_=pe_3187911_367563291_E_304_dt_1&th=1

It explicitly states that I can press 26 buttons without conflict. I tried it via text, I tried it via TO's game input, both seemed to indicate that the keyboard is working like a traditional keyboard and not one with 26-key rollover. What is going on? Have I been scammed? Given the wrong keyboard? Or is there a setting that I need to enable? I highly doubt it is the issue with the game, as I tested this with notepad input and it seemed to indicate that it works with only 3 - 4 keys, like a standard keyboard.

Check to see if the keyboard has any software that comes with it.

that's a pretty cool kb+mouse though, I'd honestly keep it ghosting or not.

Exactly my point; it looks cool, and is fitted for gaming in its mold, along with having a single USB to connect the mouse and keyboard with, but it does not have the rollover as advertised. It even has a cheaper variant that does NOT advertise any rollover, so was I just given the wrong type? I cannot find a single other keyboard, that is shaped the way this is,with the attachments that come with this. All the famous brands, even with the most expensive keyboards, have rollover, but they are all wired, do not come with a mouse, and are hence connected via separate USB connections as the mouse, and I would rather not have to have multiple USB ports clogged for the keyboard and the mouse. And I NEED the rollover. TO in particular is a game that, if you want max level of input you HAVE to have at least 7-key input for optimum experience, as that would allow you to:

* Move your tank

* Turn your tank

* Turn your turret

* Shoot

* Look at the scoreboard

* Zoom in/out the camera

* Activate a supply or an overdrive (this being an AND if you have an extra rollover)

ALL SIMULTANEOUSLY. In eSports in particular, this would come as a huge advantage, and you cannot reach the level of skill you could with this extra rollover. For me, it should be at least 10-key rollover, or no dice, and this keyboard seems to have the standard 3 - 4 keys, which sucks.

You might have gotten the wrong one then, contact Amazon about and see if you can get a refund/replacement.

On the product page it says g9i0a83.jpg

'Most of the game keys' does not mean all, Tanki is a little unusual in the fact that it uses the ZX keys for control, perhaps those keys are not covered by the roll over. It might be worth switching your ZX keys for SD so you can see how that works out.

However the real issue here is that this is a membrane keyboard, membrane boards are inherently flawed in that they dont allow multiple keystrokes by nature due to the fact that they use a single trace (wire) to record inputs from multiple keys. There are ways to get around this using various circuitry designs that use multiple traces but being such a cheap keyboard its unlikely they've gone to that effort. I would think the 26 key claim is totally bogus or cherry picked with very specific probably useless keys.

Another point worth mentioning is that you should avoid cheap wireless peripherals like the plague, they typically use Bluetooth which has a latency of 100-200ms which is pretty bad on a keyboard let alone a mouse in say, an FPS game. There are some good example of low latency wireless connections like Logitech Lightspeed but they are not cheap.

In short; its a cheap keyboard and cheap wireless keyboards are always terrible. Get a real mechanical keyboard that focuses on being an actual keyboard first rather than being a penholder first and a keyboard second.

Although I've never tried them myself I have heard good things about Red Dragon mechanical boards such as the K552 and K551. I personally own a Drevo Blademaster TE which I purchased in 'like new' condition from Amazon Warehouse for £38, it was basically brand new without a mark, there are good deals to be had if you keep a lookout, I'd suggest you return this one and get something wired at unless you are willing to spend £150+ which is where wireless starts getting good.

That's quite in-depth and honest, coming from a staff member. Shows you know how to talk well to get your intentions received. But thanks for the info, though I in-part have already figured this out.

I checked out Red Dragon keyboards and all of the first few listed ones are wired, some of which don't even have full set of keys, let alone have all them with full or partial rollover. Will take a further look into those though.

Some higher-end keyboards from reputable manufacturers don't even have a good roll-over, nor are wireless. They exist, but there are plenty that are not. Wonder what purpose is buying a more expensive keyboard if mechanically they work the same. You aren't going to find a keyboard with a cool model like the one I listed that also has good battery life, has all 104 or whatever-amount keys, at least 10-key anti-ghosting or even full anti-ghosting rollover, be wireless, come with a wireless mouse that is connected on the same USB, have back-lighting with interchangeable colors, and may be more that I've missed. They just don't exist.

Reddragon make mechanical keyboards, mechanical keyboards have full rollover/anti-ghosting across all their key by nature of their design.

Regarding having less keys, many people including myself value the lack of a numpad for extra mouse space. It is personal preference but keep in mind there are benefits. They do make the Redragon K551 which has a full 104 key layout.

Pretty much all higher end have full rollover across all keys, they usually dont shout about it in the marketing because it is simply expected. I have never come across a $100+ KB that does not have rollover, though I am sure a few exist.

As I mentioned previously I think wireless is not a good option at the budget you are looking at for the aforementioned reasons. However there are good examples like the Logitech G613.

Cannot really disagree there, every keyboard just works. That said, expensive ones are well worth it to many. You can expect a mech board to last 5-6 years or even a decade or two with good care, they feel rock solid heavy and are extremely satisfying to type on.

A cheaper board might last the same time if you're lucky but it will certainly show its age through mushy keys and worn keycaps.

The one you linked also doesnt work as advertised, a good keyboard will. There are some basic functions a keyboard should do before having fancy lights and laggy wireless. ?
