Replacement of in-game clan tags in blocked clans

Recommended Posts

Hello Maf, and his colleagues.

I am a representative of my club.

We are a very old clan, and we are playing with each other ranging from 3 years to 7 years. We made a mistake one day to close the tags of AR, but the most important one to us was [AR]. Then it took a long unfair block and fighting vs Tanki to unblock our leader's account and realise the main thing we wanted in this game was our old tag of [AR], so we deleted our 2nd tag of [lX-Xl] in hope to return the legendary tag of [AR].

We had our other tags taken from us such as [DS], but we returned that tag since it was removed due to account theft. But we couldn't return ours.

Now, I understand it is only done in special circumstances. So, I suggest there will be a criteria for returning old tags, in which the following criteria must be met:

  • The owner of the deleted tag must be the applicant.
  • There will be an extra admission fee, as it is not an easy process for APL Publishing/Customer Support.
  • The clan must have a clan topic/club topic as well as a YouTube channel regarding the game.
  • The applicant must not have been a violator of the game rules for the past 6 months.

I think these are fair points for a criteria. I as an individual, am willing to spend £200 on the return of our clan tag as we currently own [iAR] and would like for it to be changed to [AR] with the clan name having a space in between the words; as followed: 'Apollo Returns'.

This idea would be a positive for many clans, especially us, as old players and old supporters of the game. I am also very happy that you guys have started to combine the BR and ES side of the game to our side, as it is very important for unity - we are the international community ? .

P.S

Please do not merge this topic, as it is a unique topic bringing forward a criteria for a new form/idea.

I, too, agree that there should be a way for clans to be revitalized by some of their other players, and I think it is not exactly fair that players in a specific clan have to suffer if their clan leader does something wrong, and is blocked for their actions. This is a very complicated subject however, and as you mentioned, would take a large portion of time and effort to complete.

The circumstances you provided for renewing a clan are decent, but need some work. For example, if a clan leader is blocked indefinitely, that clan's leader never again has the potential to renew the clan, even if it is set to be under different leadership. I think setting up a system, in which if the leader of a clan is blocked (whether it be for a specific duration of time, or indefinitely), the leadership (and ownership) of the clan should be transferred to an obviously appointed Co-Leader. This is a similar strategy that is used with ownership of Parkour Club topics on the Forum, so theoretically, it should work just as well for in-game clans. I will forward this idea to my Administrators, and we will update you on any further updates.

Thank you for agreeing with my idea to an extent.

But I'm going to have to disagree with you on some points. To buy a clan license, the player must spend their own money. What you are suggesting, is actually already being done to clan tags which are given by the game to eSports clans/parkour clubs. This should not have a toll on purchased goods by players. If a player breaks the rules, it's their punishment, their clan tag will be blocked - but in terms of designation of a co-leader, the clan tag needn't be blocked. This further raises a point, about blocking of clan accounts, simple 1 hour disconnections causes blockage of the clan which support has to unblock manually - which builds up to take a lot of time.

For eSports matters to take full leadership, it's an entirely different matter - and this should be directed to eSports personnel more than Customer Support.

And for the time issue, I also made sure to include a compulsory admission fee, to compensate for any time loss and as a thanking gift for the opportunity given.

In summary, I don't feel that all players should be given the chance - thus a criterion should be set for actual cases.

Do you have other views on the matter? And you are very right that it is a complicated subject, but it's very dear to me and my clan for some time now - especially when you invest so much, you would like to see some positive changes in your view to the game. ?

This is false information. Personally, I am a member of both the "Fight and Flight" and "Featherlike" parkour clubs, both of which have associating in-game clans and clan tags, but neither one of them receive special benefits, such as clan leadership automatically switching when the according parkour club's Forum topic is updated. Players within the game have to change the clan settings/leadership themselves.

Charging a real money fee would surely benefit the economy of the game, but it is unrealistic. I am completely sure that no more than a handful of players suffer from the issue you are suffering from, much less want to spend real money to fix this type of issue. A crystal fee (similar to the older rename method) would be much more realistic, and appreciated by players.

Unfortunately, if we were not able to provide this same service to all players at the same fee/rate, there would most likely be some upset that ensues, and we want to avoid that as much as possible. Just look at the whole "Buyers vs Free-To-Play" debacle. The system referenced in that ever-ongoing argument is completely fair and just, yet it receives negative feedback for being unfair. If we were to provide your idea, but only allow specific players to partake in similar actions, I can only imagine the negative backlash of players.

Like I said before, I completely agree with your overall idea, and I will notify my Administrators and the Developers of your idea, and hopefully some sort of system is implemented, and you can receive your original clan tag. ?
