Product kits - F2P vs Buyers

Recommended Posts

So for a really long time, buyers have been able to kits a few ranks below the rank required by free to play players, which puts players who do not buy at a disadvantage. Imagine joining a battle, you're a low rank and only have mk3s and then you join a battle with mk5s, it just sucks. I really don't see any point for making the rank required the same for both buyers and f2p players, it just makes it less pay to win and much for fair

I am on 1 diamond and these are the kits my rank can buy http://prntscr.com/qqwwdn

I can only buy these with crystals http://prntscr.com/qqwy78

I understand that in the latest update, they've added more modification levels which means the gap is smaller but there is still a gap which could easily be closed if develpers make the requirements the same for any type of player.

Declined.

Product Kits are offered at a lower rank for real money when compared to non-buyer kits, in order to provide an incentive for players to spend their real money. Unfortunately, this causes an unsolvable problem, where Free-To-Play players often feel at a disadvantage. On one side, Developers could only allow kits to be available for both real money and crystals at the same rank, but this could potentially cause the amount of real money profits to decrease, as the incentive for buyers wouldn't be as high. On the other hand, the Developers could continue their current strategy, which is more likely to maximize their profits.

Tanki Online, like other games, is an attempt to bring in money from players, so the Developers are going to continue to choose the most advantageous strategies for maximizing profits, while at the same time attempting to keep the game fairly balanced. Thus, no change will come to purchasing kits (at least, not in the foreseeable future).
