But who isn't a "tryhard". It's the human nature to be competitive. As a 2013 player myself, I like how things are changing in tanki right now. Tanki is just like any other free to play game out there, you pay to progress and become stronger, in the end, all players f2p and p2w will end up maxed out if you put in the time and effort. F2p players expect too much free stuff from the game.

"time and effort" to complete the Challenges.  They are designed for buyers and "tryhards" (which too phrase another way is "no-lifers".

Aight,  I understand what your saying and agree with your take on the state of the game. Tanki clearly prioritizes P2W over F2P, which, in a way, does make sense. Let's just hope that we don't get a message from tanki saying "unfortunately, TO will be shutting down on x date" any time soon.

How am I suppost to know how many stars he farmed per day, he told me he only bought the pass and got a day of premium from a container. He has school as well and has other things to do. Also aren't all battle passes in games designed for players that buy?

I think nobody wants that to happen tbh I have spend a decent amount on the game itself. This is a 10 year old game so things can happen but with the new HTML5, they now have more freedom to be more creative on how they will change the game in a good way. One thing I would love for them to do is remodel the xt skins like they did with the prime skins. I love how the tank is more alive with the ultra skins.

Alright I asked him how many, he said he bought the pass when the challenge had 21 days left. Some days he farmed around 60 bc he was tired and on weekends 100-200. Near the last days he got 1 day of premium from a container and finished the challenge. Also, he said he ran out of repair kits and had to restock in the garage. This is what I call commitment.

It was many hours per day, regardless of school, to get enough stars without premium. 

And what does that have to do with Battle Pass?  BP does not help you get stars.  Just gives you access to 2nd Tier.

 

60 stars per day... = MINIMUM of 20 battles per day without premium.

Yeah, I really don't want my childhood game to go down the drain any time soon, if at all, but doubt that's possible. Every game eventually dies sooner or later. And as for the skins, their losing their meaning, it seems as if everyone has atleast one skin to flex lol. Back in the day, you had to grind super missions for xt or buy them. Memories.

True, but everyone wanted to have at least one, now xts are more accessible to everyone.

Yeah, skins are slowly transforming into paints. But like, the thing with TO is that there is no end goal, or real point of playing in MM, other than to get skins once you've raeched a fully upgraded garage. That's why I prefer playing xp/bp, there's always room for improvement and it's based on skill. Don't get me wrong, MM does require skill to, but not as much, and at the end of the day, MM feels boring, something TO devs need to fix by adding another incentive. For now tho, skins are fine.

Yeah...That amount of gaming is going to have a large negative impact on studies/work, health, or both.  

 

Commitment, sure, but it affects real life issues which are far more important in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, it's very difficult to create that much time per day just to play TO lol, espicially if your a F2P geting wooped by buyers.

For some sure but for others not, 4 hours on normal days isn't a lot for some, honestly you don't even know what their life issues are. Their life could be set and you are just guessing they have problems in their life and spend more time on gaming. I know a few people who actually keep themselves in shape and play video games while others work non stop day and night and have serious health issues.

That's why you have the shop lol. Premium = less time needed to play. Personally I think the shop is aimed towards players that don't have enough time and work a lot to keep up with players that play on a constant daily basis.

I was assuming they had either a job or work, because most people aren’t set for life, and if they are, they are either old enough to be outside of tanki’s target demographic or very rich at a relatively young age.

Nice of Tanki to charge people twice as much for buying a battle pass for the whole month. I really feel bad for the people who buy it. Never thought that tanki would do such a thing. Hopefully I won't play the game too long, I'm sick of this.

I am not sure whether to laugh or cry at "Here’s the really cool part — the top stage of every Challenge will reward you with 100 Tankoins in the Silver Tier" ... 

 

Previously, you get an XT equipment for the silver tier and something special for the gold tier. Now, you are only rewarding 100 Tankoins? In the Vlog, you stated "Tankers will be earning 3 times the tankoins than before!"

 

Come on... In the shop, you are selling the XT equipment for 9999 Tankoins. If you decide to replace the XT skins for the silver tier for Tankoins, shouldnt it be rewarding players 5000 Tankoins instead?

 

Secondly, I have no idea why are the challenges being split into 2. Previously, I am able to complete a full month challenge with a battle pass and 7 days premium. Now, you are telling me I have to spend TWICE the money to complete the same month challenge, with the same amount of XT skins awarded as before?! I don't find it worth it to be honest.

 

A better solution WOULD HAD been keeping the same challenge format to a single one, BUT, at the 1000 stars stage (Stage 50), players would be rewarded 100 Tankoins for silver and XT. For an additional 100 Tankoins for silver tier, perhaps put it at around stage 80? Hence, at 2000 stars, players will get an XT container for silver and a special skin for gold. If not, I don't see a purpose for F2P players on silver tier.

 

This may be the last challenge I am doing if it is going to be the kept in the new format. The last time I did a challenge was last year where the Final Prime skin (Viking and Thunder) took place. Afterwards I took hiatus till Jan 2020 this year and completed it. I did buy a battle pass and premium for the challenges, but I often did not pay full price because I always use the mobile version to make purchases using the credits given from Google Opinion Rewards (Over the period of 3 years, I have earned $153.08 doing the surveys).

 

It seems to be you are driving players away from playing the game. Everything is literally so expensive, especially Micro upgrades. I don't find it logical to spend 60-100k (Inclusive upgrade + speedups) for 1 single step of upgrade.  Maybe it's time to remove speed ups since I don't get it why the hell is it even needed. I am at legend 21, yet, I only have around 6 Mk8... Obviously, I don't really buy ALOT. I only spend for challenges that's about it. If me buying is still hard, I don't think players who are F2P can even play this game anymore. 

 

Not only that, you need to listen to players. I suggested nerfing hornet OD to only ignore the supplies but not the module (Because it's extremely stupid that hornet OD reloads so fast and players spent so much on modules but ended up getting rekt by just 450 crystals worth of supplies. Other hull OD don't even have such privileged to ignore. I understand Mammoth does the same, but the slow movement and slow reload makes it fair), top 100 ratings should get rewards in the rating, no sitting directly on a flag/cap point. However, those were declined BECAUSE it had already been suggested. If it had been suggested by so many players, I don't understand why the hell is it not implemented yet?

 

And that's the end of my long rant. Personally, this game is still fun to play once in a while (Not for everyday gaming though), that's why I am taking the time to write what is exactly wrong with this game nowadays so that you can improve and keep the game running. The developers need to start listening to players since WE ARE the ones who are keeping this game alive. (P.S Can you also stop letting player groups with GEAR SCORE 9999 team up together? It literally isn't fair for the other team who have much less gear upgrade)

However, you missed out the fact that previously, that single 500 Tankoins battle pass is enough to last for a MONTH.

Now, it's only for 2 weeks. Hence, you are now required to pay 1000 Tankoins for the same MONTH duration. 

Same goes for buying premium if you want to complete it fast. 

 

And, I hate how it is priced at 500 Tankoins but the shop does not have an option to buy just 500. Hence, you need to buy a 420 and a 150 Tankoin pack.

I do get the point i don't like it but we still have to see in future...Maybe if you bought previous you get a discount,since nobody mentioned 500 is a fixed price.

Done and this challenge in 6 days, without premium account and i lost ~ 4000 supplies each and played at least 12 hours per day ... i opened almost 100 containers but now is very, very rare the premium from containers, thanks Tanki Online for rewards! Now is time to play in PRO Battles only.
