How long before this game's demise?

So I think I would argue that the best part of tanki are the pro battles without all the new stuff and with longer battles. MM battles are all about who has the best gear and can get the most kills in 7 minutes. The last three weeks I've been in battles in The lost Temple, Esplanade, and Scope and all of them were a lot more fun than MM, even tho i got wrecked

I don't think you realize how much money some people really spend on here. Some, more than others, and some much much more than others. Consider someone that is a hardcore player with literally with hundreds of thousands of each supply, tens of millions of crystals, crap-ton Tankoins, those kinds of numbers are really hard to come by unless you spend a lot of money on here. Consider that there are rich people in this world that also play this game. Although, I can't imagine that the sole majority of TO's income is from those kinds of buyers. It's probably more from the huge amount of players that buy a few small things here and there, such as a Battle Pass, 150 Tankoins to buy things that are needed in an emergency, example: an event distributor paint worth 10-15 TK, when they have 0 TK's and can't afford that paint unless they buy a small amount. Also someone that may buy Premium with 1, 7, and 15 days worth which are cheap and affordable, to help with Challenges. Also a few Coinboxes that someone would like to try their luck with when they come and go. Small amounts of money spent by many players could be as much if not more than the income made by the smaller pool of huge buyers as mentioned earlier. Then there's the player base decline. I totally argree with y'all on that. Tanki is seeing a huge decline in peak amount of players comparing to 2012-2015. I remember seeing a peak player base of 100,000 on some days, some even more on special holidays and events. Some players are also taking a break from Tanki, or quit in the meantime until they change their mind. That's exactly what happened with me. I seriously quit sometime between 2017-2018, and I only recently came back to playing fulltime only about 4-5 months ago. I can imagine there are other players like me that are waiting for the right time to come back for a certain update or just had their interest rekindled for the this game.

I don't think the game will die for at least another 5 years. TO has a done a well done job in catching up with the times with the new HTML5 web and client version of the game. Flash is seriously outdated and TO would die a lot sooner than 5 years if they stuck with it.

Tonight ive played i think 7 ctf games...6 have been 5-0 with me losing 5 of those.

The one battle my team won 5-0, 3rd place on the other team had 0 points. Nice job TO!

Multiple battles tonight where enemy team is capping before 1/2 my team has loaded.

Literally spawning first time into battle and I see a hornet or viking all powered up making off with the flag.

It's just really stupid how fast these battles end 5-0 when players realize how the battle started and just leave. I don't blame them.

Yeah, close matches with fairly well-balanced teams are a rare phenomenom now.

Yeah, some players load in, press tab, judge their team or if they are juggernaut and then leave right away. And yes, the wasp/hornet's in ctf and assault at the start are just...

Does it matter when it dies?

If there's one thing that's really irritated me during the entire time I've played this game, it's that people are constantly writing it off, posting negative comments about how "this game will die soon" and pretty much hoping that Tanki will get nuked.

People said TX would end this game. I said otherwise, and look who was right?

Let's just enjoy playing this game (I'll admit it's not perfect) while we can, and dwell on this, rather than constantly thinking about when the ride will end.

Yep at this point Im doing just missions in MM. the rest of the time will be pro battles, since MM just arent good battles. So swingy. Occasionally you will get a ctf battle that is 1-0 because both teams have tough defenses, but many of those defenses melt under magnum fire, so those games are rare.

I'd suggest that asking a bunch of tanki players to leave their TO accounts, that they have put years into, and start the same game just without ability to change controls, asn't a good idea

Not anytime soon the way I see it. Sure the numbers don't lie and they're on the downfall, but tanki is not losing players exponentially. That combined with the efforts to make playing worth just a tad bit more for non-buyers(challenges, containers and same overdrives for all mainly) and TO being cross-platform with mobile users, too, just adds to it.  Obviously the game isn't being as heavily advertised as the early 2010-14s but still for the most part you can jump into battles within, what, 1-30 seconds peak and off-peak times.

Is the gameplay experience good/fun enough for a non-buyer or even buyer to stay, though, is a subject deserving a topic of its own.

And yet you can log in at any point and see that it is indeed alive and well.

not like it used to buddy. back in 2015 this game had atleast 100,000 playing every day. today's numbers are 1/10 of that and still dropping
