TO needs to implement something else into the game for players to be able to aim for.

This (something else) has to be long term, like 6 or even 12 months to achieve.

I also think whatever this something is it could maybe have 3 levels.

Now whatever this something is the rewards you get for achieving each level is based on your rank.

Recruit up to sergeant major get rewards that help them stay in contention at the next rank level, which would be WO1-WO5.

This could be implemented for all the ranks up to marshal.

At field marshal through to legend rank the rewards should be cry, as at these ranks you need a ton of them to upgrade equipment.

TO has become a bit stale with all the usual same old same old updates. These updates benefit those that are financially more able to keep up with the ever changing balance of the game.

I also think that the xp you have to earn to reach the next level should be increased, at least x3 between the lowest rank (recruit) right up to marshal. This would have 2 immediate effects on the low to mid rank players. 1-It keeps them at a rank for longer (especially the low ranks) to enjoy the game at their level, and 2-stops them ranking to quickly and getting overwhelmed by higher ranks because their garage is just too weak to compete. The increased time at any particular rank also gives them more time to acquire much needed cry to upgrade equipment, which they need to be able to compete at a reasonable level that does not see them get over run in most of the battles they go into at the next rank levels.

The x3 increase would also give newbies more time to master the controls for handling the basics, like being able to turn your turret and fire at the same time.

A tutorial explaining how to do this by say a well established esports player would be imo a great way to teach the newbies how to get the best out of whatever combo they prefer. Might even give a few legend players a much needed refresher in the art of basic tank control.

This is me being very nice and friendly and still fighting for the little guy with a clapped out combo hiding in a corner of the map, praying he doesn't get discovered by a big bad buyer (5 ranks above him) with maxed out everything.

Agreed.  Super-Large maps and 7 minute (who's kidding, it's really 6.5) battles don't go well together.

And just before you think it can't get worse, matchmaking may put you in 3min games, or even games like SGE, you end up spawning all the way on the other side by luck, and for heavy hull users *a few eternities later image file here* will take some time to make a game changing move.

Just like when being placed in Archipelego, I exit immediately.

See, some have mentioned tanki getting stale. Ive never felt bored with the grind. Partly for me, the stats and building of an amazing account is what keeps me in as well as building skills. For example, even at legend rank, you know when youre facing a veteran legend vs a newer legend. Theres a pretty big difference between them. That keeps me going

Stale isn't the right word for the state this game is in. I would say messy and unrecognizable better suits it. They are mostly tinkering with things that didn't need to be tinkered with.

 

And when they do change something that needs to be changed, it's usually way too late. Or in some things, they just milk the $$ out of it.

 

I think tanki won't survive another year. So best to enjoy it while you can.

With the shorter battles and ultra-powered OD and Drones, TO has killed any semblance of strategy and team-work.

It now has the feeling of everyone for himself in a mosh-pit.  That gets boring fast for me.

That legitimate. Shorter battlers certainly do that.

I dont agree however that overdrives break the game too much. A good hunter overdrive can stun tanks around a point or viking can kill several tanks, but overall, I have found that they seem to be quite balanced. After a long time of them being in the game and hornet finally getting neefed, they feel good.

They renamed it to armor piercing ability. And released AP augments for hulls. 

 

Hornets OD did not receive a direct nerf. But a nerf that they (the devs) can milk the $$ out of.

Separate the child players from the adult players. Provide possibility during first registration, and additionally to existing players, a button to put their date of birth. Like with match making, separate the above 18 years of age players from below 18. Than at least the adults can have a chance of a meaningful game. The 9 to 13 year olds are the worst brats that spoil the game (except the devs over the last three years...).

True, but I think the AP only works on visible tanks and last less time? Maybe someone can correct me but thats what I heard

The duration of the AP portion is lowered and target(s) had to be in line of sight.

Individually the hornet received a nerf somewhat.  But the whole hornet team benefits.

Yes.  See above.

I suspect there will be a few less hornets overall because TO is not truly a team game.  So individuals who feel their power has been lowered will switch to something else ... like ...  ... HOPPER.

i would say that with the exception of hopper, the hulls are excellently balanced. I see basically most hulls equally represented. Despite not wanting them, oveedrives have been fixed well

Most of them are balanced.

I'm just not a fan of how much impact they have on the game.  It's too much.  Players rely on ODs way too much.

They are too potent and charged too often.  If they were less frequent they'd be used more strategically and I'd have less of a problem with them.

Has anyone thought about stressed MM? The MM will get confused! Will there be players willing to play the same mode? Are players having good connections? What happens when players leave? Terrible execution of an experiment again. Devs don't listen.

Was in battle our team won noticed @At_Shin on losing team was just curious to see what combo he was using, could access his profile but when i tried to view what combo he had on .......everything went to pot, was fine viewing other players on the same side as him. just found it strange.

Yeah exactly. I remember when I was in CTF and I took the enemy flag. I told my teammates to protect me and come with me just in case I was destroyed and someone else needed to take the flag. Everytime I was attacked, my little team protected me and fired back. They did anything to protect me so that I could capture the flag. They truly cared about the team. Nowadays, it's hard to find someone who actually speaks English and wants to discuss tactics. It's also rare to see someone helping me because nobody wants to help but also I don't need that help either because I've got all this new equipment. It's a good thing that I'm strong but it's also a bad thing since it just wipes out the concept of TEAMWORK.

Tbh, I sometimes have no idea what's going on in the battle. It just seems so chaotic nowadays.

It is chaotic, to the extreme.

I have several accounts i play, ranging from WO2 right up to legend.

The battles pan out the same way for all accounts, i think wolverine summed it up just right, mosh pit.

I only play this many accounts so i don't rank to quickly with this ridiculous xp/cry ratio on any one account, with the exception of my legend account.

I get plenty of game time because of this, and after dailies are done on each one of them they get parked for the rest of the day.

Also because of the way i play i get each account ready for the next rank bracket.

I play according to rank brackets....recruit to  sergeant major...WO1 to WO5...3RD lieutenant to major and so on.

Never thought i would play half of these accounts again, but was forced to because of the way TO has become.

It has worked out good for me because all my lower accounts are reasonably strong at each rank they attain.

It's a shame TO has went down this road with their OP hulls, overdrives, augments, etc. 

The worst part about TO for me is the xp/cry ratio. (FLYING CHEAT IS A GIVEN) It prevents you from actually enjoying the game because all you do is have a few battles, complete dailies, and call it a day.

Some players are not bothered about ranking to quickly, they are either heavy buyers or just play, and to hell with the inevitable slaughter, because there is nothing they can do to change the parameters of the one sided battles they are put into on a regular basis.

When these larger maps come into play it's going to be FLYING CHEATS who will benefit the most, due to the way they can get from their base to the enemies and back without even bothering to shoot for the majority of the battle.

These FLYING CHEATS will be the reason lots of players (myself included) will leave within a second of these OP hulls capping within the first minute.

In all the posts i have read over the months, the negative responses far outweigh the positive ones.

This one glaring fact proves beyond any doubt that the devs don't give a jot about player feedback.

@Marcus never ever explains anything with a direct answer from a direct question. He fobs you off with the usual nonsense and goes off tangent within a nano second when it becomes obvious that he can't explain certain questions, because then he would have to come close to truth why TO is massively unbalanced for the majority of players.

We as players no the answer, but getting the devs to explain in depth why they bring in certain updates is like getting blood out of the proverbial stone, impossible to do.

I will gladly praise TO when it is worthy of praise. Unfortunately atm it's all doom and gloom because they just don't listen to, are act on player feedback, especially the players who post genuine solutions to the debacle that TO has become for most players.

Bring in large maps, enter FLYING CHEAT, swift exit, GAME OVER.

Played 6 battles on main, won 1, drew 1, lost 4. FLYING CHEAT dominated the 4 battles lost. 

Same old, same old. Only stayed because i knew i would get top spot. Anything below top spot when the LEGAL CHEATS are against you i just exit.

Lost battle fund does not affect me one bit. 

This tactic suits ME well enough, devs insist on adding LEGAL CHEATS into battles, it's look out for no'1 and be damned about the rest of the team. 

You can't beat them, change how you play.

Plus the fact most teams have low rankers, who do not have a clue what to do against legends, and the fact they are woefully underpowered. can't understand why they stay in a battle where they have zero impact, and are just a liability to the rest of the team. 

Good old MM.............never disappoints.
