Yes, it's over... But wait until you see the next one ?

From these two experiments something will happen to MM soon. An update for the worst or the best...

Maybe, but the last two experiments weren't that successful.. If anything, I would love to see 10 vs 10 - It seems to be way more balanced and fun than 16vs16

You have no idea what the dev where looking for when they did the experiments. So what in appearance looks bad is the unbalance it created by not tailoring the whole system, that doesn't means some aspect of it (not revealed to us) where doing well or as expected from the dev point of view.

I don't phantom for one second that spending a full month on 2 experiments will not affect the future of MM. There are so many parameters that can be tweaked: map size, number of players, and battle mode.  We know that tanki is not afraid of implementing "bad" update without experimenting...

I still need an answer for who though 16 vs 16 would be good for everyone. I'm pretty sure it was a greedy approach to get players who start lagging to try out the new graphics settings.

Had a depressing moment today where my team lost a match because of too many campers, including Shafts spending the entire match scoping the enemy base and allowing enemy players to get in to our base via the sides of the map because there weren't enough players on my side intercepting them

I complained in my team chat  > got called a noob, and then the top scorer on my team (one of the Shafts) had the cheek to say "ez" in the team chat at the end

I hope they choke on their three stars

V-log 283 just confirmed my point. Wait and see on exactly what feature will be implemented (the ones we liked apparently :D ).

Last night I was in a Brest Siege battle where we were winning 2-0. The majority of my team was camping/playing TDM (including a Thunder/Titan who rarely strayed far from our base). The enemy team rallied together and eventually won the match despite all of my efforts (I was using Vulcan/Dictator so there wasn't a whole lot I could do about their Titans).

At the end of the battle, I said in the chat that we blew a decent lead because we had too many campers.

Technically using supplies on the go is cheating. Been in the game for years.

That's why I hate large maps. For some reason people get mad at campers in big maps. I have no idea why.

One reason I dislike Brest - encourages (too much) camping.

This outcome could have been predicted early on. Losing side shafts will most likely finish near the top unless you give them a taste of their own medicine. In MM, I will leave early if I see 2 or more shafts on my side in ctf, rgb, cp, assault and siege. This goes for rail guns too most of the time.

Just finished a CP battle on Industrial Zone.  We had two shaft-campers and lost 30-15.  SMH.

And a total noob shaft-camper in Siege Yorkshire.  Bottom of the score-board sitting in a tower with nothing to shoot at.  I have zero respect for players like that.

This is not a meta naturally occurring due to the fact that some synergies and tactics work better than others — tanki 'meta' is a result of devs deliberately adding OP equipment

If we were to take out hull Augments, the Adrenaline augment, Overdrives, and Drones (basically revert the game to its early 2019 state (I say early 2019 and not late 2018 because I wanna include Gauss)).....I believe the "meta" in the high ranks would've been...

Gauss, Firebird, and Twins

Gauss is overpowered as it is
Firebird's afterburn is extremely strong, and despite lots of players equipping modules against it, Firebird would still be popular had it not been for the Heat Immunity augment.

I put Twins on the list because when I played in early 2019, Twins was everywhere. At the time, it wasn't made obsolete by Vulcans with Heat Immunities.

But focusing on the real life current version of Tanki.....the "meta" is....

Gauss, Vulcan, Magnum, and Smoky

Gauss is overpowered as it is
Vulcan cause it's so versatile, and further boosted by the Heat Immunity augment
Smoky with the Autocannon. Autocannon was balanced, but in April of 2020, the damage reduction was decreased. Old autocannon reduced damage by like 80% or so. The current one only reduces 75% of the base damage.
Magnum because of it's insanely fast reload at Mk7. You could hold a shot at 100%, fire it, and get another shot within 2 seconds or so.

I only listed turrets because they are the main damage dealers in the game.

Firebird should be one of them, if not on the top of that list.

Heat immunity is not an excuse for it, especially as f2p have only remote chances of getting it making them suffer the most...

Yes....if I was talking about mid-low ranks.

But on the other hand, I don't know if it happens elsewhere, but in all the Legend battles I've been in, there is barely any Firebird users.

Additionally, I myself have stopped using Firebird altogether because half the players have a Firebird Module AND around a quarter of the players have some type of Heat resistance. You can barely do any damage with Firebird, and even if you could, most Legend players are ready to use a Repair Kit to heal themselves whenever they kill you, making the afterburn useless if you even do manage to inflict it upon them.

Also, with Gauss and Vulcan w/ Heat Immunity being so overpowered, melee turrets are having a hard time in the high ranked battles, unless on maps such as Iran or Industrial Zone.

yeah tru, however I spoke relating to PRO battles as well, where you wouldn't find a battle without firebird 95% of the time. Regarding MM tho, I haven't got a lot of experience lately...

Ohhhhhh okay. Yeah, I agree Firebird is everywhere in Pro Battles.

But yeah, in MM, I haven't seen a lot of Firebirds. And the Firebirds I do occasionally see usually have the Incendiary alt equipped, probably cause they know afterburn isn't gonna help them much anyway,

MM goes from one extreme to the other with consummate irregular ease.

One battle you are getting outdone by a flying hack, the next you cap with ease then drink tea for the next 6 mins.

unknown.png

This cannot be fun for the low rankers. Then again they should have left instead of coming after me, just because i wiped out most of their team when i went for their flag.

Not a flying hack in sight, a glorious 7 mins of normality.

Your pictures don't work. I can see that you use Discord to upload images, so either don't delete them immediately after posting them (You can DM them to a bot or make a private server just for yourself), or use a different website.
