Allow me to illustrate how an experienced Vulcan player supposed to perform. This is literally my first game today.

The combo is Vulcan + Titan, Adrenaline and HI. I'm not camping. I act as a flag defender the entire game.

We lost, obviously, because

  1. The opposing team has more players (nice work on MM Devs)
  2. The average GS of our team is noticeably lower.

But look at my score, it is the sum of that of the rest of my team combined. This is the definition of GOOD. What you showed in the images trying to justify IB is fine is nothing but a joke. Beaten by a guy with 6k GS and you think it is a good evidence? Come on.... It doesn't matter what combo that guy have, beaten by a guy who is supposed to be 30 - 40% weaker than you is embarrassing enough.

So your team was outnumbered and enemies were often in your base right?  That specific situation dictates you "camp" in your own base.

If you survive long enough to get afternburn going, it is not all that surprising to see many kills if you have the targets.  If they don't have HI (many must not have) all you have to do is touch them a bit and they will burn.  Many of those deaths for leader on enemy team likely from you as he/she made cap attempts?

Like I said before - IB on a small map is deadly.

Overall, I don't think that it was the right idea.

However, it didn't really affect me that much. Prior to the update, I made all my non-Mk7 items Mk(n)-0. For example, my Freeze used to be Mk4-8, so I bought the last two MUs to make it Mk5-0.

As I said, this update doesn't really affect me that much, so life will just go on. My opinion on the game has barely changed, and I will continue playing.

Too many purple epics, but just a paints.

Lastly I got one Heavy Weight to help me in space parkour, I will upgrade my Titan to Mk7 in next sales.

For my honest advice. Don't use MUs, everytime you reach a new rank, buy the next modification quickly. MUs are slow. Now especially with the boosted experience, you will rank up way more quicker than the MU time.

For me, this update haven't affected nor it will affect me. I used from the start of my account to not using MUs, I started using them after the Mk7.

And yeah I'm against this update for sure

MUs did not get removed. They're only disabled if you have reached the rank of the next Mk, and, since you can't get it for free anymore, what's the point of micro upgrading it anymore when you can buy the next modification?

In my opinion the MU Update can stay the way it is for newer players (because I doubt this will change), but there should at least be a clear sign when the next Mk is available, i.e. when the MU's lose their validity.
I would really like to see the old Flash Garage Table again:

for players who MUed up to mk(n) 7-9, its a big big waste of money

The critical shot for some turrets is an indignation more than it's a grace. When you shoot your critical for an enemy with Armadillo, it will get halved. Ricochet for example have the same critical damage of the regular damage, when you fight someone with Armadillo, in the second of critical your damage will get halved.

The same thing is applied for Juggernaut, the only usage for its critical damage is to get halved by Armadillo?

It's very annoying when a RAILGUN turns off my supplies and then a SMOKY does the same thing. What next - shaft removes my wheels?

Thunder could probably get the same EMP augment if they roll out Thunder HD skin one day. ?

And don't forget EMP Gauss ?️‍♂️as well as the stun shots.

You seem to forget, that I was simply proving that Incendiary Band is still playable WITHOUT HEAT IMMUNITY. Of course my score will be a bit lower, because I wasn't using a legal-hack (Heat Immunity) and giving my Vulcan unlimited ammunition.

Meanwhile, the 6000 GS player above me was using Heat immunity and he has a huge advantage over me, because his Vulcan also has Incendiary band, which basically gives him a Firebird with boosted DPS (yes, Vulcan has higher DPS than Firebird), unlimited range, and unlimited reach to burn enemies.

Also, you're saying that an experienced Vulcan player is supposed to perform by getting an easy 28 kills and only 4 deaths in a battle.

But you're literally using Heat Immunity as a hack to give your Vulcan unlimited ammo. You said it yourself in your post "The combo is Vulcan + Titan, Adrenaline and HI."

I am assuming "HI" stands for Heat Immunity.

From 2015-2020, experienced Vulcan players never had the privilege of getting unlimited ammo, because if they did, Vulcan would be too overpowered.

Like literally, Vulcan with Heat Immunity (aka, unlimited ammo) gives you no reason at all to use stuff like Twins, because Vulcan has a higher DPS than Twins (yes, I did the math), Infinite Range, and Faster Projectile Speed.

It cuts in half the "critical" damage even when that "critical" damage is not boosted?  That just seems messed up.

Depends on the map.  If twins can stay in range a good portion of the battle it will definitely have advantage with much better rotation and much better impact.

Then you have not play Vulcan enough, or you simply ignore one of its biggest disadvantages: The ridiculously slow turret rotation speed. If it is a Twins and Vulcan 1 vs 1, and the Twins decided to play merry go round, which is very common for players who play short range turret, Vulcan is almost guarantee doomed. Yes, Vulcan has very high DPS in theory, but it has no meaning when Vulcan can't hit stuff.

BTW, I do hope they rework the Rubberized bullet. It is supposed to be legendary rarity, while it is one of the worst, if not the worst augments available. I mean, what's the last time you see people equipping that thing?

Also,

"Playable" is very subjective. Yeah by definition, everything in this game is playable. It just the matter of fact that whether you are the one crushing people, or the one being crushed. From two examples you provided, it appears it is more towards the latter.

Mister, your killing machine is objectively better than his, by a significant amount and properly your experience in this game as well. I mean, I can perform better than an AP Magnum with 600GS in Siege mode, which is the best mode for that combo in case you have not realized. And I bet most of the 9k GS players can do the same.

As for whether IB is still viable, just join a few MM games and count how many players actually using IB. I found 1 for around every 5 matches. The data speaks for themselve, if IB is as "fine" or "good" as you said, then there will defiantly be more people using it, especially we know a lot of people own it already.

As for HI, I see no complains from you when people are talking about other immunity augments, I understand HI might be affecting you the most, given your favorite turret is firebird. Yet, I hope you can see a bigger picture and make your comments objectively.

It doesnt need a buff its fine where it is at. I use this augment all the time for vulcan . Its a powerful augment if your skilled enough to kill enemies behind walls.( I had got this augment from my special missions about 5 months ago and lemme tell you its very useful against campers that are hiding behind walls I shoot the walls and I kill them.)

Here's what I think about the current Vulcan Augments. I'm thinking about this logically.

Rubberized Rounds

Rubberized Rounds is alright, but the problem I see here, is the slower bullets. I assume the Devs made Rubberized Rounds slower because they're rubberized, so they're lighter. But, if you shoot a lighter bullet with the same powder charge as your regular bullets, the lighter bullets will fly faster. So, rubberized rounds should technically increase in bullet speed.

Rubberized Rounds should deal less damage as well. Rubberized bullets actually exist in the real world, and they're meant to hurt people instead of killing them. They deal less damage is what I'm saying.

Incendiary Bands

Incendiary Bands also has one thing that makes no sense. Coincidentally, it is also a slower projectile speed. For an Augment that is meant to heat your bullets once you've been burned, I don't understand why the bullet speed plays a part in this. I mean, maybe Vulcan's regular bullets are made of tungsten, and Incendiary Bands converts your bullets into titanium, but for that to happen, we would need to increase Vulcan's projectile speed, and increase Vulcan's damage. Also, if any other Vulcan is burning up, why don't they have burning bullets when they start burning? There's no explanation on why IB can burn when overheating, and why any other Vulcan can not.

I propose a simple fix for Vulcan's Incendiary Bands. Allow it to burn enemies right off the bat, but decrease its heat resistance. Meaning, the band the Vulcan uses is already heating up the bullets, but this causes Vulcan to heat up much faster, lowering the heat resistance.

The other Augments

The other Vulcan Augments are fine. Reinforced Aiming allows you to freely rotate your Vulcan horizontally but at the cost that you'll have less of a vertical range. Speed Regulators lowers the time it takes Vulcan to charge up, but at the cost that charging up the barrel faster doesn't allow Vulcan to have a fast bullet reload.

Especially in Juggernaut, in example in Ricochet with critical you can ignore 50% Rico module, but with Juggernaut there are ZERO things to do with critical than getting halved by Armadillo?‍♂️
