declined Distribution of score for capping a flag

Don’t you hate it when you take the flag, destroy everyone, reach your base, die to that gauss across the map, just for a that m0 wasp teammate to cap it? To add insult to injury, you gain only 25 points, while they get 50 points, moving them from last place to second last.  

 

I propose that the score (75) should be divided by percentages.  For example, teammate 1 picks up the flag and travels for 80% of the total distance traveled before the flag is capped.  They die, and teammate 2 picks it up and travels 20% of the total distance traveled before the flag is capped.  When the flag is capped, teammate 1 gets 80% of 75 points, while teammate 2 gets 20% of 75 points.  

 

Another edit: This really needs to be implemented.  Just got sabotaged by a Titan shaft named SASHA-BMV-VORONEZ.  They purposefully blocked me from capturing a flag in CTF, and capped it when I died.  This happened twice, with another teammate, allowing them to get 100 points.

This used to be the case, but the system was simplified as part of a feature-cutting update for internal reasons. We do not accept ideas for reverting changes.

But getting points isn't the objective, so it's still sabotage.

Sorry, I didn’t realise it was changed before.  

 

It’s a stupid change though.  Why would they cut this feature? If it was to simplify things, then it’s ironic how much Tanki has changed.
