Block and Ban switch places.

Recommended Posts

There's been something in the game that doesn't involve in the gameplay experience that's been bothersome to me ever since I joined the game back in mid February of 2014. And that is the block and Ban situation.

You see, when most people think of BAN, they'd associate it with being stripped of your account because you violated the gameplay EULA.

And when most people think of BLOCK, they're thinking it has something to do with the chat.

The terms "ban" and "block" are both synonymous. Either term can be used as an in-game indicator that one has broken the rules in some form, either through their improper use of the chat, or their actions regarding the game, and its mechanics. To see the full list of rules of which a player's actions are judged to decide whether or not that player should receive a punishment, you can read them here.

^ on top of that, most non-Tanki people I talk to refer to a "ban" as being blocked from accessing the game, while a "mute" is for losing communication privileges. So there's really no single official term to define both punishments, and switching them at this point will only cause more confusion.
