An annoying HTML5 issue

Whenever you want to change your equipment while respawning, you go into your garage, you change your equipment and you respawn as a different tank right? Well yes, but actually no.

You have to spawn back as the old tank, wait 5-10 seconds to self-destruct, and only then respawn again as the new tank... quite tedious yea?

I'd really appreciate it if something can be done to restore it to how it was on flash, because it's the only feature now that I feel is a definite downgrade from that version.
