What would make the HTML5 version awesome FOR YOU?

You probably all know that we recently launched the HTML5 version of Tanki Online. In fact, the plan is to eventually phase out the Flash version and move everyone on to the HTML5 version. Why? Because Flash is an obsolete technology and we genuinely cannot continue to support it. Just keeping the Flash version alive right now, is drastically slowing us down from continuing to develop the HTML5 version to the standards we’d like to.

 

So Flash needs to go asap.

 

However, there’s one thing stopping us from doing that — we DON’T WANT to force you to move unless you’re completely happy with the new HTML5 version.

 

Here’s the thing. We’ve been noticing that many players occasionally log into the HTML5 version of the game, spend a couple of minutes in there, and then go back to the Flash version.

 

And that can only mean one thing — something is bothering you.

 

So we need your help. We want to give you an HTML5 version that you will really enjoy, and that you feel is superior to the Flash version in EVERY way. And that’s why we’re asking for your feedback.

 

Here are a few tips on how to give feedback that we can really apply:

 

• Avoid text walls. It’s much better to give a list of points, so that we can go through them systematically without missing anything.

• Don’t just say, “I hate this feature”. Instead, say why you hate it, and what you want to achieve from it.

• Feel free to suggest ideas of how things can be fixed, but please don’t expect every suggestion to be implemented to the letter. Many of the suggestions we receive on forum make sense on paper, but are impractical in terms of implementation.

• If someone has already mentioned a point you’d like to make, you can simply vote for their idea by liking their post. Of course, feel free to elaborate on their points, but that’s entirely up to you.

 

We hope that you will take the time to give us your feedback. Remember, we all want the same thing — to have a game that everyone will enjoy.

I think it would be interesting if you changed the way the camera behaves in HTML5, because the flash is more interesting

By the way here is a list of updates I think should be a part of HTML5. They are a mere suggestion:

• If developers could please look into the issues of transitions and why there is a delay in moving from one screen to another in places like lobby of the game (When you try to move from lobby to garage or etc) as this happens on those PCs too on which flash runs smoothly.
• The interface is definitely user friendly and I liked that a lot! but something about the fonts is not settling. They seem fade at times. It might just be my misconception but I thought pointing it out should be nice.

That is it! or else the HTML5 version is very cool and like they say, "I'm lovin' it"

I think we should have an ability to choose if we want to use the old or the new camera in game, because i personally like the new camera ( probably the only one tho :c ). It gives me more freedom when moving my turret, but since a lot of people want the old camera, this way everyone can actually be happy about it.

As far as the camera movement is concerned, it is quiet unsettling but only at first because I got used to it pretty quickly though and most tankers I know that use HTML5 also got used to it with in a week or two. Hence those who are facing problems, I would recommend playing on HTML5 more. Changing camera settings now might just be a hurdle for the ones that got used to it. If now I go to flash version, I feel like things are moving slower for me.

I do have to agree with transition issues, it's so buggy.

I got used to it in less than a week. And yes, that's why i like the new camera more. On Flash it just feels like something is slowing my turret or something.

I like htlm5 version but i want the possibility to create my map in mobile I want the same shop of the flash version .And I want great pass because 1 container for 10 level are bad

My main problem with it is the tacky camera. It's gotten a lot better than before but it's still rough, especially with mouse. 

Oh, and, it would be great if we couldn't switch to a different page at the end of PRO battles, like, the different page where you need to click "continue". If we could just stay on the battle interface and just click continue from the bottom of the stats menu, same as Flash. (Don't know if I described that correctly.)

Oh, one more thing. Chat. In-battle chats disappear very quickly and most of the time we can't view them before they're gone. I get that this is an intentional feature to prevent FPS problems for players with lower-end PCs but I guess having an option to disable it should be implemented, or at least a scrolling function.

 

Other than that, it's all Gucci.

It would be great if you guys could let us access our mission without having to leave the battle like in flash

And if you could add that thing where you could get options on clicking the player nickname like add to friends, clan profile menu, etc

and if you could add the clan tags in the battle back to those who had it , i rlly liked that

oh, and if you could add the option where we could chat after the battle had ended, or while we were waiting for the battle to restart in flash

would be better if you could fix some things like the lag and the "cannot load resources" thingie

and pls try to bring back our kits... life was soo much better then

I agree, maybe add the ability so u can see missions from the menu while u are in battle.

While not being able to add friends while in battle really is annoying.

- Be able to put the game in fullscreen by pressing "O" or F11

- Improving in map garage to change equipement faster when playing

I agree about the scoreboard, though i don't want you to change it if that means removing the gs and the amount of prott

my list is: r or v to see the alteration.

-Put the text 'Gold box will be dropped soon' at the middle of the screen so it is visible for players when gold drops.

-Camera behaviour.

Hey there!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The only thing that bugs me is how the camera is moving. Tanki said that thats because they want it to be the same for people who use mouse and for people who use keyboard. My opinion on this is that there are/were two styles of playing for a reason. I mean its harder to aim and for me and probably many more people. The other features and everything else is great in my opinion maybe i have to get used to the new lobby a little bit more but i guess ill get used to it

I think that everyone will probably agree with me about the fact we NEED the product kits to be available for crystals again! they're very rare to find and even when they appear in your shop they are giving you offers that u could've already gotten at that rank. For example, a 2nd lieutenant account can have all the mk4 version and wants to buy an mk5 for crystals (from a kit), he cant do that FOR CRYSTALS. when there finally comes a kit for crystals its an mk4 which is already available for him
