I want access to missions during a battle in HTML.  It is very inconvenient not being able to see your daily mission progress.   If HTML was perfect and as good as Flash in every other respect (it is way way way far from that), I would still use Flash because you can see your mission progress during a battle.

Yep, Flash is on life support

I've been using the HTML5 version most of the time since the camera fix

It's still not quite the same as the Flash version, turret movement / aiming is still a bit twitchy, but it's good enough and doesn't make me sick anymore

Most of the issues are now UI ones, and I'm still using the Flash garage to buy things and plan upgrade paths because all of the information is there

Not being able to check mission progress or get in-game confirmations for completed missions is very annoying

Having to scroll down to see the entire killboard after a battle is annoying too

Something that needs fixing ASAP is the not being able to (in the client) switch between windowed and full screen play in-game because of the performance difference, windowed is a lot slower

And the radar and outlines still suck; I'd like to be able to switch it off so that enemies can't detect me

I don't need a radar to see them because I can use my eyes / skill, and I don't see why I should have to give away my stealth because of something I don't need

I keep having the same problem with HTML over and over.  Half way through a battle, i stop being able to do damage.

I hate HTML because there is no way to track my mission progress during a battle...really inconvenient and annoying.

Okay, no text walls for thefiringhand from now on from me :c

By the way here is a list of updates I think should be a part of HTML5. They are a mere suggestion:

  • If developers could please look into the issues of transitions and why there is a delay in moving from one screen to another in places like lobby of the game (When you try to move from lobby to garage or etc) as this happens on those PCs too on which flash runs smoothly.
  • The interface is definitely user friendly and I liked that a lot! but something about the fonts is not settling. They seem fade at times. It might just be my misconception but I thought pointing it out should be nice.

That is it! or else the HTML5 version is very cool and like they say, "I'm lovin' it"

"If developers could please look into the issues of transitions and why there is a delay in moving from one screen to another in places like lobby of the game" Absolutely right! If they fix it I'll be glad with HTML5 version.

  • The engine sounds of the tank is terrible! I mostly feel like I'm in beehive, please fix it.

Recently one of my friends informed me that makig private pro battles MM and joining them through the html5 version causes all the maps to load. So next time when you go to a non pro battle through the MM system, loading is faster as the props are already familiarized to the system. In short, make and join all the MM private battles and let them load once properly.

A minor nuisance is that when playing on HTML5, the Premium window under your Nickname keeps blocking the "Play" button for a second. It would be better if the Premium window showed its info when clicking on it and not when hovering over it ?

VISIBILITY = SIZE + COLOUR + OPACITY

Please asses the interface design on these 3 aspects.

Too much COLOUR triggers sensory overload. Examples of extremes -
---> Distracting. Eg: The in-game score board with a whole rainbow built into it; Those supply boxes at the bottom - bigger & brighter than my tank!
---> Not noticeable. Eg: Exit button, in-game score - so small, so true to the red/blue theme that it blends from sight & stays infuriatingly out of my line of sight... so much that I have to shift my attention skyward, away from the game to take a look at it & still struggle to read it quickly. Honestly, just put it back in the right corner under the important notifications please.

So, here's the thing. I'm not a programmer or have a wide knowledge in that area, but I have a little bit of knowledge in these things.

Tanki Online HTML5 client works like (maybe IT IS) a web browser that can only access Tanki related things (battles, profiles etc.) The client doesn't store things like map details, battle screen, lobby UI or anything permanently in it, during the installation process. Everything is being downloaded when we do those specific tasks. The lobby UI is downloaded when we first open the app, Kungar map is downloaded when we first enter a Kungar battle, garage UI is downloaded when we enter the garage for the first time etc. Those downloaded data are stored in users/user_who_installed_Tanki_client/appdata/TankiOnline folder.

Now consider World of Tanks (it's an online multiplayer tanks game, for those who don't know). The WoT client downloads every single thing (map data, lobby UI, tanks data etc.) while installation process. Those data are basically being installed into your PC. Only thing downloaded while in lobby are the specific variables assigned to each tank you own, so the client can show only those tanks in your lobby. The only things downloaded while in battles are other players' positions, the specific variables of the shots the fired, etc. When you enter a battle, the map is not being downloaded, because the map is already installed into your PC & your CPU/GPU can simply load it into the game.

So, my suggestion is, make a Tanki Online client which works like the WoT client.

I'm pretty sure that these 2 types of clients have different names, but I don't know what they are.

Now let me state the pros & cons of a WoT-like TO client

...Pros...

  • Everything is already installed, so entering lobby, battles, garage takes only milliseconds
  • Battle UI is already installed, so supply icons & other common UI elements are loaded instantly. So, players can get into action instantly
  • No FPS drops. You can get the maximum FPS your CPC/GPU allows
  • Only the small details like player positions, others players' names, their shot details etc. are downloaded while in battles, so we can have a very low ping

As you can see, everything is faster & better. But this has some drawbacks

...Cons...

Alternativa will have to release a new game client update each time they release a new in-game update (like when moving alterations to containers, chnaging turret/hull parameters etc). Making a new game client update every time they release a new in-game update won't be easy. But Alternativa can simply make lesser & lsser updates, so they don't have to update the game client every week. Players will also be forced to install new game client updates every time new updates are available

............

Considering the pros & cons, I think pros have more weight, so can you please release a new client with all the necessary game elements in the client.? Almost every online multiplayer game has such clients, why can't Alternativa.? It's true that developers will have some more work to do, but other companies are doing this. Besides, Tanki is a lightweight game with lesser in-game elements & details, so this won't be much hard.

i also opened 20 coin boxes!!! and 10 containers!!! guess what i got........700 speed boost (in total) 43 tankoins (in total) 300 mines (in total) and 4000 crystals in total.....this is why i dont like buying. i get crap like this. tanki, your containers are garbage. u will lose players if you make the odds of getting good loot from a container .00001 percent. it is a minor but good change.      also WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!??? 250000 for a single alt?!??! nope just no. go back to 20.000 i will seriously quit if you keep makeing game pay to win...i am tired of this. pfft i have over 3000 speed boosts now...yay.  i am saying what the community is too scared to say...i am doing them a favor

This is like the baseball card hobby. You open packs and boxes hoping to get that hot rookie card, but you end up with a bunch of commons, whozits, and semi-stars at best. If you are going to be a buyer, then focus on that one item/augment that counts instead of trying to outsmart the system. If you do that, then a.) you will have what you want and b.) you will not get stuck with the many things you don't want.

The battle list in the HTML5 version urgently needs a major improvement. The abyssal state of this feature represents everything that players dislike about the HTML5 version, and the abyssal state of this feature is an utter professional shame for Tanki game designers, developers and programmers.

I am aware that the HTML5 version was designed on the basis of the mobile version. I am aware that this is the root cause why people playing on PCs and Labtops (as inter alia almost all of Tanki's good customers do) find an absurd lack of information on any single screen in the HTML5 version. I am aware that Tanki game designers, at their own peril, do not plan to comprehensively solve this issue. But in this one concrete instance, it must be done.

It is not at all difficult to add a column with the map names (as it always existed in the Flash version), it is not at all difficult to use different symbols for different format battles, and it is not at all difficult to add filters for battle settings. But it must be done. I will not even talk about previewing the list of players in a battle without leaving the page (as it always existed in the Flash version), because this might need some programming effort, and I mention only the simplest points.

Please do this, and do it quick. You are unnecessarily annoying your customers, and you are keeping players away from your HTML5 version.

my problems with html 5-

1.too much lags and when my net connection is lagging the tank keeps self -destructing

2.ofc the above mentioned camera movement

3.it feels like we arent controlling the tank .in flash and even in tanki x ive always felt the weight of the tank and its almost like i could feel through it and id know how to properly move the tank .but in html 5 the connection doesnt exist

4.make the garage more like the tanki x version cause this version straight up sucks

5.idk how to describe it but the whole thing feels kinda off like were not in tanki

HTML5 will only be good for use if you implement 1:1 graphics from Flash. Otherwise eSport will be dead and thousand of players will leave
