What would make the HTML5 version awesome FOR YOU?

I think the Html5 version needs to be less modern, I feel like when I play the game it isnt the same As when I played it years ago. I hate how much space on the screen is taken up by the supplies u have and overdrive icon. I do not like all the colors and seeing thru the walls. Make it like it was before maybe a little changes but not too dramatic.

That's because you need to have them manually set as the main supply controls. In order to do that, just head over to the game's Settings (located at the very bottom-left corner of the interface) and open the 'Control' tab — in there, in the 'Overdrive and supplies' portion of the section, left-click on the desired supply and then afterwards — once it's highlighted — press the desired numpad key on the keyboard via which you'd like to use the supply, and it'll automatically save the changes made and display which numpad key is being used for a specific supply under its respective icon.

Yes you can , if you are in challenge page , and click Buy Pass , you can have it for 500 tankoins . In the shop you can only find it for cash .

 

I've now played 1 week with HTML . Actual playing itself is fine , i have to admit , big progress has been made . I can certainly see myself playing all the time in HTML . Layout of the lobby , still the same . I got used to it , but it is way worse then in Flash . Controls , i found the way to change the supplies to keypad . What i cannot do is type the enter key on keypad to chat . I do not see where to change it .

Biggest thing so far is that it is very demanding on the system , way way more then in Flash . My laptop is pretty new 9th gen i5 / gtx1650 , 8gb and this game shouldn't put so much stress on it . In Flash i get a solid 60 fps , while still being quiet . In HTML , the laptop is certainly blowing it's fans , and my FPS is 50-55 . GFX options are both the same . I can imagine that older systems would be having a lot more problems . Maybe this is settled in the future when client comes along .

I just tried HTML5, ONLY because i wanted to collect "special mission" rewards, which also a big Minus to developer team for putting special missions ONLY IN html5 and not in Tanki app or flash version. and since missions need to be done in html to be counted, i wanted to try it out and woah it was a bummer... all i did was ruined my KD/a by doing 0 damage, literally the game usually says how much damage you do per shot, on html version i dont even see any numbers, and other players take no damage from me, please fix this, thanks

I joined the game in December 2019, and I discovered it on HTML5 first. I honestly prefer it to Flash. The HTML5 UI is a lot more pleasing and modern, even if some of the menus like the Garage in particular look very simplistic, and it is straightforward to navigate. I also prefer the HTML5 battle UI (those tank highlights are so convenient honestly). However:

 

- The camera is very annoying to learn. Apparently it's not that way on Flash. There should be an option to have it like in Flash.

- It would be great to have post-battle chat, like in the Flash version.

- I assume this is work in progress, but Rugby and Flag still need some kind of on-screen indicator that the flag/ball is taken.

- More of suggestion: Since some people are complaining about the "feel" of the HTML5 version (which I personally like, I'll take fantasy over realism any time of the day) compared to the Flash version, it might be worth developing a "legacy" interface that looks more militaristic.

 

Pretty sure all these have been mentioned multiple times already. But for me as an HTML5 player, those are the things from Flash I would like to have.

That's it. I'm not playing on HTML5 version. This is the ONLY reason. It blows my system!!! There's noises like *vrooooom all the time when I play on HTML5. My system is quite old and I don't even have a proper graphics card. I got integrated graphics. HTML5 version is tooo demanding. Like yeah, the indicators and the modernization are all cool but keep in mind us poor tankers who can't buy a new PC/laptop yet. 

This reason alone is enough for me to quit TO once Flash stops. Pretty lame I know but yeah.

the new graphics isnt whats demanding. and the wroom wroom sound is your fans...

Now, for the main topic. I'd say that the HTML5 version is fine as it is. The chat could be improved a bit and you could consider making the version more stable overall. I don't exactly know what I mean but HTML5 version seems more unstable compared to Flash.

So you want people to move to the HTML 5 version huh?

Ok then! I need you guys fix up a couple of persistent, irritating things:

1. "System error" dialog keeps popping up. This wastes my time and I do not get to play as much as the flash version!

2. Ping: Unnecessary lag! I do not see anything wrong with my Ping in the flash.

3. Loading, loading and more loading. I waste two minutes, sometimes even three and a half minutes, waiting for the game to load into a battle. Sometimes I have even been kicked out! So I only get to play for half the battle, that means I cannot earns enough points to earn stars and crystals, which means I cannot upgrade my gear.  This certainly never happened in the flash: I would join every game within  first 30 seconds.

4. Create a HTML 5 client(downloadable version) because CHROME loves to eat a lot of RAM, slowing down my computer.

Scusatemi ma a me la versione HTML5 non piace affatto ,in quanto forse per me incomprensibile e difficile all'utilizzo . Io gioco al quello che ho scaricato dal sito nel computer ed è molto meno caotico di questo e stanca meno la vista .

Hi Tanki
I hope you add a simple modification to the "HTML5" Tanki application. Please add an icon to download additional files inside the game, making it easier for the user to enter the battle faster. This problem is also present in the mobile phone version. When my friends download Tanki, they tell me that the game does not enter the battle This is bothering them and I know that this problem is due to downloading the additional application files for maps
 Please consider this matter, thank you for your kind cooperation.

If you download Standalone flashplayer and play tanki there, it is basically the pre-html5 tanki, everything works perfectly.

Please, please, please--you must get red of that red outline when you are 'targeting' an opponent. It is extremely distracting and not at all helpful. It actually degrades my own developed ability to target tanks by eye, and, especially with turrets that need to lead their target somewhat in order to hit a moving target, it's worse than useless. It makes it much harder.

I understand the urge to dumb the game down as much as possible for the lowest common denominator, but please resist. You'll just destroy it.

I respectfully disagree. I do not find it at all distracting. I can better adjust my aim to hit targets. For turrets like striker and juggernaut, the red outline helps mitigate the awkward aiming. And you can still lead your target. You line up your turret and aim just slightly ahead. How is that hard.  Now I understand your complaints, I really, really despised the red outline at first. After playing for weeks, I actually began to like it. I realized two things. Many turrets already have a pseudo aiming reticle. Striker and guass have their targeting systems. Shaft has a laser. Vulcan’s bullet trail acts as one. With thunder and Smokey getting projectiles, they will also see the same effect. Second, most tankers should already know how to aim targets. The red outline just makes it easier

Red outline should only be in battles for few few ranks where players don't know how to aim.

After that, it's just a crutch and nullifies terrain like brush.  Let's try to keep some skill in the game, shall we?

How about the red outline being an option in the Settings > Game menu, that you can turn on and off? It would normally be turned on, for the sake of newbies.
