i am a non-buyer and it is IMPOSSIBLE to play without going last on the leaderboard. somebody please help me or give me tips on how to play without buying anything because i need stars for the battle pass..  i am all out of supplies and crys

Completely possible.  I consistently top score as an F2P(Kinda lucky with the Mk conversion update though, which changed my m2.10 aka mk6.10 into mk7 instead, allowing me to begin the grind for mk8.)

- Stop playing when done with missions

- Upgrade a single combo.  Potentially 1.5, but not two.  Gameplay will get boring though.  You can explore other combos with an alt account.  

- Don't buy useless things like paints, gifts, etc.

- Don't buy drones, you run out of batteries and it needs to be upgraded.

- Upgrade during and not during sales, and don't buy speed ups.  In general, the middle few upgrades should be on 30% sales, and last few 50% sales.  If you only upgrade during sales, have fun waiting years.  

- The following overrules the above tip.  Exception of not buying a speed up is when, for example, you upgraded something that takes 25 hours at the start of a sale.  Nearing the end of the sale, you can speed up and buy the next upgrade if it is an overall positive trade in the long term.  

- Get good.  Turn your turret, game sense, etc.

- Save your containers and weekly containers.  Save all your containers for when you have a lot of time to play, such as holidays or summer.  If you get premium, you have the time to grind.  The higher the rank of opening weekly containers, the more supplies and crystals you get, even if you got them at a lower rank.  

- Don't bother with stars for the battle pass.  It is nearly impossible with no premium, not worth it without a battle pass, and you will run out of supplies.  

- Restart your account if must.

I rarely use supplies, but still get a 1st place sometimes (with Hunter / Smoky). CP and JGR are two modes where you can good scores without using lots of supplies.

What I would do from now on, if you don't want to start again with a new account (I've got four), is spend any crystals you earn from missions and containers on one turret and one hull instead of several.

I think you need to be a skilled player to do well with a light hull.

One thing I would recommend to increase your crystal income would be, if you're capable of downloading the android version, to change all 3 missions by watching ads every day to simple ones with crystal rewards. This way, you would also be able to complete all 21 missions in a week (if you don't already do so), and get the maximum rewards out of your Weekly Missions.

You are playing too much.

10k to 20k exp in one week.

Non buyers should not play that much on a single account.

If you want to earn 20k exp, split it between 10 accounts. That way you will get enough from missions to be strong. You will rank slowly on each account, and sales will come fast (relative to your experience accumulation).

Skill / experience will not beat supplies most of the time.

I have never spent even $1 on this game, and I do very well in battles on all accounts.

On this account, I have great equipment (Firebird Mk5+, Wasp Mk6+, a good set of modules)

In 146 hours, 231k exp earned, ~300k crystals earned, 67 gold boxes caught, and K/D of 1.63, which is very good because I've played like 90% of my hours in CTF as wasp-fire attacking player, before the wasp had a bomb, so it was harder to get kills.

I play hard for the enemy flag, step on mines a lot, need to self-destruct a lot, as wasp flips very often, which affects my K/D.

But wasp-fire is capable of winning CTF battles in 2 to 3 mins if i get support from my team.

 

And here's the best part: I have 35k+ supplies used, thats a ratio of more than 240 supplies per hour.

Even most buyers do not come anywhere close to this ratio of 240.

 

There is only one way: play less on each account, just enough to do missions.

Let these challenges pass. I do 10 stars per challenge per account usually and stop at that. The more stars a non-buyer gets, the lower will be their competitiveness in the long run, as you will rank up too fast, and the rewards are not worth much, relative to the gain in experience points.

You are doing well for your rank being a non buyer. Unfortunately, there is no fast or easy way to rank up and get lots of crystals. If you rank up too fast, you'll face greater challenges against better equipment. Keep doing the missions daily and only buy when there is a 50% off. Settle on one hull and maybe a few turrets. Get the max out of them. Only spend your crystals on hulls and turrets at this point. Stay in battles where there is a chance to get a fair amount of rewards for your time and effort. Leave battles when your side is too weak and leave early, not late. No need to complain about drugging, buyers, etc. Get used to it. At a certain level, most players will power up. If you are a F2P player, I think the best you can expect is win about 50% of the time.

I have some other alternative low rank accs on which I have started expending crystals on microupgrads from the recruit rank. guess the result?
It is the best and the most profitable procedure to grow up to legends rank and meanwhile gaining stars of the challenges. guess what you can do in legends rank?
There you reached the last rank, it is all a new start, now you need to buy all other turrets and hulls and modules. after you bought all the garage. all u need to do is microupgrading.

P.S. Focus only on 1 combination to microupgrade it from recruit to legends. (only one turret, one hull and one set of modules) do not buy all the modules,
Plus, I am a non-buyer too.

I am a non buyer too but check my profile (I am not showing off). I have never spent a single penny and but still, its difficult but do-able.

Buy alteration for your turrets. I use wasp and then i alternate between using rail with an alt, fire with an alt, and striker with an alt.

Another thing you could do is upgrade your equipment. I am often out of supplies and instead of buying more I just upgrade my equipment. For example I now have wasp mk6 10/10, rail, twins, and hornet and firebird mk5 10/10. No your k/d is not gonna be the best but that doesn't matter.

if you run out of crystals and drugs and the option to buy crystals for your account is not available there is 3 tips to keep upgrading your account,

1.Finish everyday your daily missions which gives you a good amount of supplies and so weekly.

2.You can play for the silver tiers of the battlepass to get some basic rewards who can help your progressing.

3.Keep looking for special events in forum or in the news section you can take part.
