New Gauss Alteration: EMP Rounds

So, Gauss is getting a new alteration. After entering Test Server 1, I found it's called EMP rounds. So, here's some positive and negatives:


Pros: 

- Remove supplies upon sniper shot

Cons:

- Regular shot has no splash

- Sniper shot damage is nerfed by 50%

- If you get caught in the splash damage zone by the scoped shot and get self damage, supplies will be removed from you as well 

 

Summary: My thoughts are to nerf damage to 35% or something (or bust). Tell me what you think in the comments!

But you should give alteration buffs and nerfs like this

Pros: 

- Remove supplies upon sniper shot + Activate all supples for the Gauss player

Cons:

- Regular shot has no splash + Now it regular shot can shot every 0.5 sec with 2020 damage per shot

- Sniper shot damage is nerfed by 20 damage points

- If you get caught in the splash damage zone by the scoped shot and get self damage, supplies will be removed from you as well + you will get burning and freezing effect

This is called balancing

This will make the effects (burning and freezing effects) nullified, making it useless for effects.

Wait, so at the moment the regular shot is like Smoky, but the sniper shot is basically Hunter's OD that works at any range, has no warning, AND also deals damage? Seems insanely OP for high rank battles.

I am waiting for Gauss alteration that removes 5% of your Gauss protection with every sniper hit and converts it to 5% protection against your turret

I feel like this will become pretty popular if it's accessible in the Garage. Time to build up my Owl module. (currently at 26%)

If it's from a Shop bundle, I predict more people will buy this than Rubberized Rounds, but I still have yet to see the Mysterious Red shot effect, and I'm assuming Rubberized Rounds is just as rare.

This player had rubber rounds last time I encountered them - Sincity

I've got 33% protection against Gauss, but sometimes I wonder why I bothered. This alt. is going to make long range exchanges with Gauss a nightmare if they can just nerf any supplies I've picked up.

It is good for us if this is rare.
I feel that all this changes and additions are here to provide material for the youtubers to make video with hope to attract more players to TO.
There is no sense for long term planning or strategy from the developers. Once implemented they drastically change the mechanics in a less convenient way: best examples are drones which now consume extra supplies on top of the battery. So in the end the new players is disappointed and do not stay.

Exactly.  At least remove the splash. You can prevent a team from even having supplies.  

Introducing a mechanic like this into a turret will break the game.  

Sorry, is breaking the game.

Agree!

Problem is if this Alt works like I think it will, it looks like a no-win situation, whatever group of players get to own it.

If it's a shop bundle alteration then there'll be rage from non-buyers or anyone that's not willing to pay that amount of hard cash. Having your hard earned supplies lost to someone that you know just bought this alt that you cannot will be especially annoying.

If it's available to all then i'd guess it'll have a big effect in battles if you're facing many Gauss+EMP more often. Effectively, a certain % of our missions will be for no rewards as the drugs we gain from them+containers will be wiped out before we get decent use out of them.

It is spiralling out of control. Collect drugs, buy drugs, buy drugs via premium, give drugs via mission, add drones that consume new supply automatically, make drones consumes more supplies automatically, add containers that provides you with supplies, add OD that remove or give supplies or increase the potency, add challenges that gives you more supplies, add new drones that help consume more supplies during the same amount of time, then add alteration that remove supplies... never ending story.

There is point, which we are closing in fast, where any supplies strategy will be left to sheer luck. You can activate a supply and have it removed a second after. The more equipment that can do that the more pointless the requirement of using supplies or even making mission to stockpiling them. In a way if we had no crystals in the challenges  and mission, they would become pointless.

Do any Gauss users actually care about the splash damage on the arcade shot?  I know I don't.  This alteration is ridiculous.

I have an idea for the second gauss alteration! The first is a hunter with no range limit. The second should be...... A wasp bomb! Thats what tanki need! When gauss focus on an enemy, a wasp bomb should be placed there, but this bomb would be a bit different: 

- kills every enemy on the map

-hunter cannot deactivate it

I think it would be as balanced as the first alteration.

Shooting a sniper shot will make every tank in the battle self-destruct! But as all will self-die at the same moment it will be awesome! A moment of tranquility will be observed on the battlefield. Team mates and enemies will do tanki- yoga and meditate.

Or maybe, auto gold drops as soon as you snipe down your team mate with your friendly fire-on alteration.

Hmm that auto gold looks good ? ?

thats a really really good point considering my gauss and smokey have about the same damage and firing rate but at least this alt wont make u drop the flag or ball or imobilize you (although running around without supplies is basically nuts)

The next Gauss sniper shot alteration will charge the nearest Hunter's OD or the player's own Hunter and teleport that Hunter to the target
