Lower GS ---> Better Containers

I don't know if any of y'all noticed this or not, but I see corporals with better paints than my Legend account. I see sergeants with XT skins and I don't even have one on any of my accounts. I started a new account, I opened 2 containers from the weekly missions, and I got a rare paint and 100 000 crystals...

Maybe this is why Alternativa doesn't want to release container odds.

Man it might not be so bad up here, but down in the beginner and low ranks the container rewards are just OP. All it takes is one container and that player will have at least 125 of whatever supply at their disposal. And getting 25k crystals down there is essentially equivalent to winning the jackpot.

This has proven very true on my VikingPrime account which is ridiculously healthy. Also proving to be true on my even lower ranked accounts, TitanicPlague and EvilDemonicTroll.

I always forget about containers when thinking about lower ranks. It's almost strange that while battle funds, daily missions and weekly containers have lower rewards, normal containers and challenge rewards remain the same.

I'm not sure about the theory of lower rank containers being significantly better though. You need a much larger sample size than 2 containers in order to have somewhat accurate data.

Eh well this might be true, but I do understand why devs have done that, to an extent. Players that bother to buy containers at low ranks, may be testing their luck to see what the possible rewards may be. Getting a rare or even an uncommon at such ranks will definitely hook them on to the game. Devs have done this as a marketing strategy you could say, so players keep on buying. Gradually as they work their way through the ranks, their reward may also decrease... however it will be very gradual so they won't notice. A way of making money by the devs. 

I wrote 'to an extent', because I feel like their almost neglecting the higher ranked *buyers*, and leaving them with rubbish rewards...

Containers and Challenges are fairly recent additions to the game. Previously, battles in the lower ranks weren't competitive drug-wars and supplies from Daily Missions and Mission chains mostly stocked up, providing enough resources at higher ranks where you need them.

But now the situation has significantly changed and I see practically everyone, even new players, use drones and supplies actively in the increasingly competitive MM battles. I can't think of using any hull other than Dictator in a new account, until I get enough of essential supplies from containers.

So, if I equip an MK1 turret & a hull and also unequip all protection modules & equip that Green paint and then only open my containers, then I should get some XT skins & some fancy animated paints & a huge bunch of crystals.?

This is all speculation. It's going to be impossible for me to have a large enough sample size to be able to conclude that this is indeed the case, but from my judgement, it certainly feels as though container odds are different between the ranks. Plus, the developers have a reasonable reason for doing this. Better container odds for newer accounts makes it more likely for the account to commit to playing in the long-term. I just started a troll account, got 2 epic pulls, and now I kind of feel like I have a duty to play on that account.

I have an alt that has the X Noir paint at Sergeant. I also had saved up ~80k crystals and was able to max out my Siegfried Mk2 kit.

To be fair, the most I play on that account is just doing daily missions every once in a while.

I agree with you. I have completed thousands of missions and I always get rubbish. Last week they gave me Japan paint for completing 20 missions.

I wonder who still thinks we want world cup paints from 2 years ago?
