valid HTML5 Desktop Client notifications

Not sure if this has been suggested before, but I'll say it anyway. The title says it all, really. If Mobile can get notifications, why can't the HTML5 version do the same? I'd like to see when my microupgrades are done, or when special events are starting, etc. I'm not certain if it's that easy to program, but I do think it's doable. It'd be a nice little feature to have and could attract some more players to the new HTML5 version.

Like I said, I wasn't sure if this had been suggested before. It seems that you took a different approach to it, but it's still nevertheless a good idea.

I've always blocked Tanki's notifications, ever since those "Upgrade complete: Dolphin is waiting in your garage!" stuff began popping up.

That's a shame; I for one would love to have those kind of notifs.

Flash version already have this feature, don't know why they didn't the same in HTML5.

Well, I usually play on lower rank accounts and have some upgrade or supply box popping up every hour or so, and that's annoying. Plus, there's no option to prioritise notifications, such as only of upgrades, or events, or when you need to update the app, etc.

Browser notifications are available only when page with game is loaded and presented in a browser tab. 

In the browser this case is unusable.

 

Maybe desktop html5-client can do this, but I don't think that notifications is so important

To be fair, I think a good idea to add on to this would be to have some sort of customization for which kind of notifs you'd like (i.e. microupgrades, events, server restarts, etc). Maybe that way it could appeal to more people?

When I had tanki mobile app installed on my device, I always completely disable notifications from it, because I don't like to see every X hours something like "You free box is here! Tap and grab it"

You probably would like to receive PM notifications. Btw why we don't have PM sound notifications still?

I have it

Just enable email notifications for PM in settings and install email client for your mobile phone)

In my topic I suggested at the top of this topic, I requested the ability to request a notification for when a certain item is affordable, this means you won't always be pinged with notifications. Do you guys think affordability notifications should be part of this?
