I don't mean to be a dummy, but i don't know what you mean by this...could you elaborate a bit?  I don't see how popularity of some maps or modes kept people from playing to their fullest before MM was introduced. 

Before MM, almost everything in Tanki was user choice.  MM and the updates to accommodate MM homogenized the game with the same number of players in all battles, most maps becoming more similar to accommodate MM battles, shortened length of battles, etc

I remember back in 2012-13, battles were almost always Silence II CTF. The introduction of Rio in 2014 helped add a small amount of spice, but it was hard to find obscure maps even when it was only the battle list. MM, for better or for worse, has created a variety in what maps are played. Literally the first time I went to a Magistral or Wolfenstein battle was in MM.

Wait... I use the flash version and my missions are tracking fine.

I don't use the HTML5 version because I don't like the interface. The menus and garage are confusing compared to the flash version. Why not make it exactly the same?

Also the gameplay is jerky and my railgun timing is off.

Also I think that many people would play this game if Alternitiva actually started advertising... I mean, most people probably don't even know tanki exists. How could they?

Advertising for games is incredibly expensive. The price per user acquisition is way too high when compared to the return on investment. At this point in Tanki's lifecycle, it simply doesn't make sense to advertise. We'd bleed to death within months.

The mobile version has the potential to bring in new players, which is why certain updates like matchmaking were created. When someone is playing on their phone, they don't want to waste time looking for a battle. They simply want to be one button away from the action. Now some of you will offer up the argument that we should have left MM in mobile only, without putting it in the web and client versions. But that doesn't help at all. In an MMO, players are a crucial part of the content. No matter how cool an MMO is, if there aren't players in the games, it's doomed to fail (like for example, Absolver). And this is why we need to keep activity levels in MM matches.

As you can see, it's a very complex topic. Even the tiniest thread is linked to everything else, and the slightest tug could have ramifications that are hard to expect.

In the end, we do our research, we analyze the trends of the market, and then make the best decision we can make with the data at hand. To do any better, we'd have to be clairvoyants, and we're not.

And let's not forget one very important point here. Our successes or failures can have very serious consequences — people could lose their jobs. As a team, we are responsible not just towards you as a community, but also towards our employees. I know that's not really your problem, and I could kind of understand if anyone said, "Hell do I care? Deal with it!" But I think it's important for me to offer you this perspective, because it might help you understand that we're not here to hurt you or the game. We're simply trying to walk a very thin and delicate tightrope over a flaming pit of death, while flesh-eating crows try to eat our eyes out... and the rope is on fire... and we're barefoot... plus Justin Bieber music is playing in the background...

"Be a gamedev", they said... "It'll be fun", they said... lol

Hey what's wrong with the game now? Totally unable to enter the game after a match I played abruptly finished. No announcements no nothing.

It's true, the game is near the end of it's life-cycle, and the new updates make it come towards its end with a slow death. With a deteriorating game comes a deteriorating fan-base, and the fan-base is shrinking by the day.

When Tanki Online comes to the end

Our memories will end with it too.

And it happened again... HTML5 for me. 

I think it affected everyone because all the matches ended early even when criteria for the matches were not matched. Afterwhich played another battle, whole game lagged out as server closed connection.

why in html5 I can't disable viewing this red thing cuz it is really disturbing in long range shots as i can't aim tank edges properly

and it's also disturbing for moving and aiming quickly

Map selection in MM is random.  So you are just as likely to get a map you hate as you are to get a map you really like - asuming the map you really like is actually in the rotation.  I really like Death-track, Skylark and Esplanade.  But those maps are not in the rotation.

So I'm not sure I can agree that MM random map seletion helps people "play to their fullest".

But I will mention something that maybe everybody not mentioned and it is an achievements The Our Good management and programmers when kill

M3 notification and start with "very good" Mk7 forgot to change something in counting the achievements when You click on a name there is open the

browser site with an statistics and achievements AAnd when you see there is still write that they count like everybody still have an M3 equipment and

the status of Mk7 is ZERO and many other things is ZERO it is to many line to notice everything but hey it is simple they only need to count and

everything will be OK. But no it is too though for them.

And please I will be Thankfully if somebody explain me the difference between Clans and groups.

For me it is the same name for kill other people (read players) who is not organized.

And I ask many time myself, for what purpose is made Match making battles if You still make unequival team.

In one side they put a Group organized and full of drug and drones and with that that everybody knows own jobs what

they must do to win.

One will be shaft, one titan because of a shield, two hornet with rail-gun etc and everybody start to play from the very

first second hunted for a win.

On other side They put a bunch of players who isn't in a group, unorganized with or without a drone and drugs from a 10

or a 30 seconds delay and put in that one block of SAP of a Best player who then must go out and restart the SAP or a

browser and until he return the team is in a mess half is out and half don't know is it he want to ran out or to stay for a

while to see with how much score we will loose and VOILA.

When one team score first goal they have and advance and from that moment everything is so hard to return to equalize

the side and the loose is inevitable.

For me it is not a Match making battles it is a Match Adjusting To Always Have A Cannon Meat.

Still I don't want to mention that they didn't resolve the problem when some player goes out from the team and the teams are not balanced.
