We should be rewarded for time spent in Juggernaut position

Declined.

 

Players that receive the Juggernaut almost always gain a high amount of score during their time with this tank, due to having additional power and being a primary target for enemies. The higher score also helps get more crystals and stars at the conclusion of the match. Moreover, simply getting a chance to control a super tank is pretty good reward in itself. Adding any additional rewards for being Juggernaut beyond the already high numbers of benefits would definitely be unfair.

I understand that you are OP, but the suggestion likely was that since you are stopping the enemy from taking a point you should get rewarded for defense. If there is a reward for helping your team by killing the enemy Juggernaut, or even assisting a kill, shouldn't you get a reward for keeping your team's juggernaut alive (yourself) for a considerable amount of time?

I think such an idea makes sense if the Juggernaut is being productive, but if the Juggernaut is simply hiding/camping so they get such a reward, it will be worthless. Maybe there should be a requirement in kills and/or assists made by the juggernaut per minute, and then such a reward should take effect. But as you are OP, it should be small (5 Battle points per minute).

well you're not likely doing that by yourself though, are you?

- Titan throws up dome to shield JUG

- Isida heals JUG

- Other players mine the area or kill the attackers coming after JUG.

Though it is true that your team helps a Juggernaut stay alive, it comes down to the Juggernaut a lot more than any other player. As far as Titan's dome, maybe it should give some EXP per player protected, but everyone on the team gets rewarded for killing attackers or healing the Juggernaut.

FYI, I was just explaining what I think was the author's intent, and I was trying to get the argument on the real purpose. Maybe the juggernaut is not doing so much more than the rest of the team, but "Juggy is OP" is not the argument why.

Good Juggernauts already average 500+ exp per match if they don't die. There is no need to pile on the rewards.

I agree that sometimes it is unnecessary, but sometimes an average Juggernaut is helping his team, doesn't get much EXP, and deserves this reward.

This goes for every player in every mode.  I don't get any exp for sacrificing myself so a team-mate can get away and cap a flag.

Due to the overwhelming supply of juggernauts who don't last 30 seconds, I'll have to disagree. Logically I see why you are right, but technically current game-play favors my argument.
