The Tanki Senate

I'm not sure whether to put this in Forum Games or in Game Discussion, but I figured that more people will read this if it's in Game Discussion than there would be for Forum Games, this idea/simulation would be more successful in the Game Discussion topic. The topics discussion in the Tanki Senate will only be related to the game, so I guess it technically can fit under game discussion.

 

Welcome to the Tanki Senate

The tanki senate is a place where players can debate on hot issues regarding to the game. I will be the sole moderator for now, in order to ensure civil discourse and order (of course only the mods can actually ban people). A lot of people are frustrated by the developers' decisions, but we have to understand that the developers deserve the respect of the playerbase and that, ultimately, the developers have complete power over their decisions. On the other hand, players can use this Senate perhaps as a way to gain traction for support on a lot of hot issues that they feel strongly about. Instead of raging at devs in the complaint book, which doesn't help anyone, players should be able to start a debate on an issue here. I don't know, really this is all a test/simulation, but I will be more than delighted if this works out in the end. You can participate just to have a good time. 

 

This topic will constantly be edited and changed over time as the TO issues are always changing. Often times, there will be debates and votes on planned updates (I will change the polls on the main topic so we can have a vote on issues). Also, you can open debate on a certain issue by introducing a bill to the floor. A bill is basically a change you want to see implemented within TO - more on that later. If you want to join the Senate, please PM me on my private message, or leave a comment below.

Title: An Act to Repeal Smart Cooldowns

Preamble *just give a few short sentences defending why you believe in your bill*:

Whereas Smart Cooldowns have been in the game for 5 years, players are still able to easily acquire all 3 supplies at the same time due to the introduction of drones and overdrives. This makes spawn killing a major issue in the game, because with smart cooldowns, newly spawned players can only drug 1 drug at a time, unable to counter incoming druggers.

Section 1 (now list what the intricate plan of the Bill): The Smart Cooldowns Update is hereby repealed

Section 2: All players will now receive a twenty second cooldown after a certain supply has been used up.

Section 3 (concessions are allowed): Players will be unable to drug while having spawn protection.

and so and so forth, as many sections you think your bill needs

Voting: How voting works is quite straightforward. When I decide that the debating period is over (I will indicate how much time for debate is allotted when a bill is introduced), we will move onto voting. I will open a poll at this time. It's either a yes or no question. For virtually all polls, more than 50% "yes" means the bill passes, any less (or equal to 50%) means the bill fails. However, for rescinding updates that developers have already made, a 2/3rds majority is needed to delete an update (So more than 66% needs to agree that an update is garbage).

 

Please only vote if you are seated. Please only debate if you are seated as a Senator. PM me if you want to be added to a Senate seat. You may resign your seat by PMing me or by being inactive for 10 straight votes.
