2am Restart means that when something goes wrong, it happens at a time when anyone who can resolve it have gone home.

Isn't it about time Restarts happen at 2pm instead, so that at least when - like today - a Restart comes with a glitch locking us out of our garages, we might have a chance of it getting sorted out the same day?

Restarts seem to be the prime time for glitches to happen and it's stupid to make that happen at a time when everyone's gone home.

Remember this is a matter about perspective. For Russians, their restart time happens during the day.

This is a good point. 2 AM UTC is 7 AM in Perm time, so it's already pretty close to when the devs' start work. Besides, most of the time there are no issues during restart, so the time was chosen because that when fewest players are online, minimising the number of people inconvenienced.

The only weird thing I find about the server restart, is that in USA we have daylight savings time, where we change our clocks for an hour twice a year, so sometimes I miscalculate an hour to when the server restart is.
