Paint Augments

Hello fellow forumers!

While I was sitting on the toilet, thinking about the game, I thought of a cool, some-what original idea that would fit in perfectly for this game! After the recent hull alteration update, I think a very similar thing could be created for paints. As many of you know, paints serve almost no useful aspect towards a player's ability. However, with the introduction of paint alterations, paints will all of a sudden be useful for the first time ever. Players will be able to receive paint alterations from containers that are opened, just like the other alterations.

I thought about how the paint should be altered, and I think the best way a paint to be altered is by giving paints their very own protection. Each paint's alteration's strength will directly correlate to how expense or rare the paint is. For example, since Inferno is both expensive and rare, Inferno's alteration could give it around maybe 45% protection against Freezes (in addition to the actual protection modules a player could have) since Inferno is literally flames... and you know fire melts ice. On the flip side, for cheaper paints like Marine, Marine should be given about 10% against Firebird when the alteration is unlocked because it is one of the cheapest paints in the game, and it would make sense as well because Marine = Water and Water puts out fire. 

 

I think this idea is an original, unique addition to the game and I would very like to see this happen in game.

We do not accept ideas regarding changes to the actual Tanki Online to its previous versions. If you aren't aware of, paints originally used to have protection embedded in them, later on modules were introduced having the protection independent of the paint.

Let me make some suggestions into this specific paint-protection concept, LOL

How about the following paint-protection modules.? I'm pretty sure they'll be great in the game ?

Zeus - 50% extra protection from firebird

Prodigy - 50% extra protection from railgun

Inferno - 50% extra protection from freeze

Emerald - 50% extra protection from thunder 

Iribis - 50% extra protection from isida 

Lumberjack - 50% extra protection from vulcan 

Mars - 50% extra protection from hammer

Ooooh let's give rock 50% protection against twins, grafitti 50% from vulcan, and needle 50% from smoky. I don't know why, it just feels really right for some reason doing this.

Me too getting a similar kind of feeling man. Like I look at some paints & feel like oh, this paint really looks like protecting the player from that turret. Sometimes I look at my prodigy paint & think, oh, this paint will protect me from railgun and also from thunder& shaft as well. That lumberjack paint looks like absorbing the heat from vulcan & not letting the player get overheated. Well, maybe for 10 seconds or something

As long as you are basically doubling the price of protections, and make more of them available in the shop, you might have some takers. You never know which dev will decide to implement this topic.
