OH my... well colour me embarassed...

so Freeze can stop afterburn and Fire can somehow unfreeze itself.  And everyone else not lucky (or rich) is up the creek without a paddle,,,

I'm pretty sure it's to give fire and freeze a little buff since now everyone will be getting resistance or immunity. Tanki knew that if they made hull alts available for purchase, everyone would get fire or freeze resistance/immunity and therefore the use of those turrets would plummet...

This is quite a short suggestion, but i was wondering why the devs are introducing augments for hulls that protect you from weapons when we already have protection modules for that, can't they have just introduced a new 'overheat protection' or 'freezing protection'?

I think instead, the devs should make hull augments that protect you from overdrives, as overdrives are done by hulls so you should be able to equip one augment on your hull to protect you from an overdrive you hate most, for example:

a hull alteration that reduces mammoth overdrive damage or a hull alteration that adds protection from the N2-bomb.

I am aware that they have introduced the EMP hull augment and i think that is a good start from where they should carry on adding hull augments to help against overdrives.

- I also think this will help in events when all everyone does is complain about certain overdrives.

Thank you for reading ?

But everyone won't be getting immunity.   5000 TK?   Only buyers have that.

And to get a specific hull alteration for a specific hull from a container is like winning the lottery.

N0 - fire and freeze will be OP for quite some time.  Same for any turret that can do afterburn damage.  When using smoky I equip incendiary 100% of the time.

Immunity is only in the Epic category of containers and Resistance is Rare... You actually have a pretty good chance of getting one of them in conts, even if it's on a hull you don't normally use.

It's only been a few days since the release, and already I see many of them in battles. Just wait a month or two and see what happens.

Look, im actually happy that hull alterations are ridiculously expensive, because firebird immunity and freeze immunity are just completely dumb for balancing out the game. For others such as lightweight hull or more weight, even 1000 tankoins is just too expensive. It would make sense if you made immunity ones 10k tankoins and weaker ones 500-2000

Unpopular opinion here, but I prefer that the hull immunity augments be left to be obtained only through containers, that way they're more exclusive and not easily attainable by purchase of tankoins through the garage. Reason being, immunity augments are overpowered and are literally game changing.

yes I agree

All resistance does is bring back the power our modules used to have.  Until you actually get that, fire and freeze will be OP.

And getting one for a hull you don't normally use?  Well how does that help?  You gonna buy/upgrade a hull you don't use becuase of one augment?  If so - then that confirms these augments are OP and should not be in the game.

Fire and freeze will be OP against half the playerbase and useless against the other half. Just join any hill or island battle where everyone is using firebird and wreck them with fire immunity + %50 prot. Like you said fire and freeze are OP if you don't have resistance or immunity, so ofc I would use it even if it was on a bad hull. It's better than having a good hull and no afterburn protection at all.

Will be  a long, long time until half the players have those augments.

And your example is pretty specific.  You won't find those maps in MM.  Most (95%) players are not gonna buy a new hull just to play on those maps.

Like I said, just wait 1-2 months and we'll see... I may very well be wrong. Still, immunity is just too op.

You are absolutely right my brother, but don't you need crystals to upgrade your garage? We need crystals to buy a lot of alterations used in parkour tournaments and in esports as well. Don't you think we have any right to upgrade our garage? Or shall players like me stuck at 7500 GS forever. And if you would talk about MM, I tried a lot to play there, but I only suffer there always... So XP/BP was the only source of income for me

As legend 11 I certainly do not believe one second that your maximum GS is 7500. You are being too modest here. You don't need a full garage for parkour and certainly do not need all the alterations from the garage (fire-bird alteration?). Plus some equipment like hornet and wasp are better for parkour at low MK. If you buy smartly when 30 and 50% you will do fine. Parkour and e-sport tourney offer big rewards too.

You only play xp/bp, that is normal to suffer in MM (don't expect the same win/lose ratio), however the more you play the better you will get (especially if you are an e-sport player, you got tactics skills, and if you do parkour you must be very in skill at shooting and driving too).

Agreed.

I dislike Island, Hill or Poly CP battles because of too many Firebirds (especially with CFT alt). But these are very popular among the pro battles and they're already being ruined by these immunity alts (augments)

Maybe it's me - I've never found those maps enjoyable.  Just seems like a bunch of power-levelers...  Boring.

Immunity should not have been introduced.  That's one of the worst things a game company can do to break their own game.

It's not power leveling if you're playing vs real people... You actually get more xp in MM than playing the same amount of time in pro battles. I just do it so I don't have to use supplies.

Very small map - takes 3 seconds to reach enemy - meh.

I play Pro-battles no supplies as well.  But always on medium or larger maps.

Larger maps there's fewer kills because of distance needed to travel.  There's (a shred) of strategy other than spawning and flaming the nearest enemy.

Ones I really can't understand are the hour-long battles on those dinky maps.  Screams power-leveling to me.  Spawn-attack-kill-die-spawn... repeat over and over.

Each to their own I guess.

TO DEVS: Look into this great idea and reconsider what hull alterations truly deserves the game.

This is a war game so it's based on skills and tactics not money....

...Unless you think money first to get skills and better tactics later...

You realize the hull augments suggested above would only be available for purchase with TKs...  so... NO.

Oh... and  thanks a lot  for suggesting this to the Devs.            I hope the sarcasm was not too subtle.
